Stears I.
Yelp
Pumpkintown Mountain Opry is a large structure that captures your attention and cannot be missed as you drive by. I'm not quite sure if the location is fully functional, because it seems empty from the outside, but the restaurant part of it is functional. I tried it out because I was curious, and my experience was good. When you walk in, it feels like a family owned and ran business, and guess what? It is! The young lady informed me that her grandfather owns.
You can walk around and check out the variety of snacks, goodies and local souvenirs for purchase. I had a pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw, beans, and a bag of chips. It was delicious.
The only suggestion I would make is to work on the landscaping and curb appeal. I wonder if they have ever use the entire structure. When I visited, the restaurant part was the only thing that was open.
