9 unique cafés in Singapore that will make you feel like you're overseas - SilverKris

"A bright Aussie-inspired café on North Canal Road that channels Melbourne laneway vibes with an outdoor courtyard, green plant wall and wooden bench seating. Breakfast staples include a classic Poached Eggs with Avocado on seeded toast served with a lemon wedge, while the triple-stack Earl Grey Pancakes arrive with poached pear and a crunchy white chocolate macadamia crumble. Coffee options range from espresso-based drinks and single-origin filter brews to two house specials: the Generra (a warming orange mocha) and the crowd-favourite Wicked (a minty mocha)." - Rachel Eva Lim

Went for Sat brunch, we were lucky there wasn’t a queue. Coffee was good. Food was ok, room for improvement. I had the chicken salad, it was $20 but the pieces of chicken were ridiculously little. I have to say it tasted good though, but come on.. $20 bucks for a few pieces of dice chicken breast is not exactly acceptable. People choose this meal for more protein… but the amount of chicken. Doesn’t even look like it’s 50g of chicken in there unfortunately.

We were looking for a cozy nice breakfast place which is dog friendly. Luckily, we are at the right restaurant. We enjoyed the rostti, sausage and spinach. This combo is simple yet super yummy. The early grey pancake is also good. But would be better if it can be less dry. Staff are super friendly and welcoming. Will definitely come back again!

We should’ve paid attention to recent reviews. Brought group of friends & was surprised to find the café almost empty—just 2 tables occupied—and yet the two kitchen staff and two floor staff didn’t smile or seem welcoming! We didn’t come near closing!! The food and drink standards feel like they’ve dropped while prices have gone up. The tomato soup comes with cheese toast was disappointing—the toast wasn’t fully toasted and melted and the soup was bland and more sour than rich. grilled cheese sandwich was simple and okay, but again, not worth the price! Earl Grey Pancakes looked nice but tasted average and felt overpriced. Overall, the value just isn’t there for what they’re charging. The outdoor setting is still nice, but I won’t be returning for a third visit. ~Made me wonder if the place changed ownership. 🤨 Total damaged ~ just 2 dishes + non alcoholic drinks; SGD20 each pax!

Really good place for breakfast and lunch! The cafe late is really tasty and the salad was delicious. It’s a little bit loud inside but you can sit outside for a little more quiet area. Overall a great experience!

The food was absolutely delicious! Every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The service was fast and friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. It’s rare to find a place that gets everything right—from the taste to the presentation to the overall experience. I highly recommend trying their signature dishes; you won’t be disappointed. I’ll definitely be coming back again with friends. This spot deserves more recognition!

Unbeatable breakfast at great prices in the city centre. We loved the scrambled eggs and salmon. The bread was unbelievable. The open plan kitchen is so cool to sit and watch. The staff were so professional. And the hostess on the door made it feel like you’re going round to a neighbours for dinner. Don’t hesitate to hit Punch up.

We were visiting Singapore recently and weren’t sure where to go for brunch. Just a short walk from our hotel the ParkRoyal Collection, Pickering, Punch Café was super convenient. The café had a great atmosphere, relaxed but lively. We tried the Generra (Orange Mocha) and Wicked (Minted Mocha), which were fun and unique (though we wouldn’t have minded a slightly bigger glass!). The banana porridge was a good size, and the sides of rosti, avocado, and mushrooms were comforting and cooked perfectly. We will definitely be coming back on our next trip.
