Punjab Restaurant

A real authentic meal. That was exactly what I experienced at this Indian restaurant. Their menu consisted of traditional tandoori dishes and Punjabi specialties!! 🇮🇳💫 ─ ⊹ ⊱ ⊰ ⊹ ─ 🌾 Tandoori roti 🧄 Garlic naan ✨ Bullet naan - **Punjabi specialty** ─ ⊹ ⊱ ⊰ ⊹ ─ The Punjabi specialty… dipped with the butter chicken gravy… absolute perfection👌 the creamy sauce paired so well with the buttery naan, which had a slight kick to it🥵 and the chicken was so tender it could simply be shredded and topped onto the flatbread. Just a mouthful of comforting flavours that made me want more🤤 The hot tea also provided a satisfying burn from the spice😮‍💨 The classic garlic naan was fire too! ─ ⊹ ⊱ ⊰ ⊹ ─ 🧈 Butter chicken 🫘 Grandad’s kali daal 🥘 Amrit’s Amritsari chole 🌿 Methi Gosht 🫛 Bhindi Masala (okra) ─ ⊹ ⊱ ⊰ ⊹ ─ Of course we had to order their famed beans which included the mixed black daal passed on from generations and fresh okra sautéed with conforming herbs and spices😌 The chickpea served hit the spot for me (loveee a good chickpea dish)! The Indian locals come here too so you can trust that you’re in for a real culinary delight😋

Attentive and friendly staff from the moment we sat down. The Maharaja paneer was really yum, the methi gosht was great, and the mango lassi was an absolute chef’s kiss 🤌🏽. If you like spice, go for the bullet naans , they’re the ones. We did have to wait a bit and the place is quite congested, but honestly worth it. Big plus for me: this is the first Indian restaurant I’ve been to in London that didn’t add unnecessary sweetness to the paneer and chicken dishes. Properly savoury, well-balanced flavours ,loved that.

Must see place for Punjabans. It's like a museum and the owner was very willing to talk to us about it. Top quality Samosa and mango lassi. Food was seasoned and had a punch so order things to cool your stomach down. Come with an empty stomach. Cosy interiors. Make sure you have enough time to find the place if coming from Charing Cross. I got lost in Chinatown. We ordered rice, sholay, roti, veg kofta, Samosa, raita, salad and mango lassi which came to around £70 total without tip. Portion sizes were reasonable, we shared it between two. Critique: veg kofte were spicy and soft. I'd appreciate if spice levels were written on the menu or offered when ordering.

I came here about 13yrs ago and the food was out of this world! Went on 12/12/25 and personally, the food did not live up to my previous experience. Ordered the Kali Daal, Daal Tadka, Paneer Tikka, Kadu Puri, Pilau Rice and Saag Paneer. Food was thoroughly cooked with perfect textures just like how our parents make it unfortunately, the dishes were all bland. The chutney’s were edible but bland too. Seating was very tight making it hard not to bump into chairs and people when walking past. It was also very loud making it difficult to hear others. If the seating can be spaced out and a bit more spices put in the food then I’d definitely visit sooner than later.

An amazing experience on my birthday. The restaurant was in a prime location in London and very affordable prices. Food was excellent I had the Chicken Korma and my brother had the Chicken Jalfrezi. The staff were very welcoming all if I'm looking for a Indian resturant in London I be happy to go back to Punjab Resturant.

What a gem! Read about Punjab and it was such a great experience. Amazing staff. Loved their history. And my chicken tikka masala and naan were awesome. A nice cold Kingfisher was the perfect complement. Thank you!

While in London, we were headed to a restaurant in the West End and a gentleman named Christopher guided us to our destination He was a very kind man and we got talking about food, especially curry and he suggested going to Punjab. He said it was very delicious and it wouldn’t break the bank. A Few days later we decided to try Punjab. He was spot on! The food was superb and the service was impeccable. Honestly the best butter chicken I’ve had in my life. Kingfisher beer is now a fan favourite Highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area Cheers

Oh my! Punjab is my go to place when I in London ! Bringing all my friends there. Food is delicious and team is very dedicated to customer. I recommend Tikka Masala and their pilau rice !
