Punta Espada Golf Club

One of the best golf courses in the Caribbean. Many holes on are near the water. Interesting and exciting layout creates new shot shapes each hole. You climb effortlessly through the elevated coral Bluffs above down to the coastline and then back up and around to finish on some incredible holes. There’s a steady wind at all times that you need to count for, but at least it’s steady. It’s really kept a nice shape for the amount of volume it gets played. I was able to get paired up with the members so I got to learn a little bit about the ins and outs of it

I just finished my fourth round this week at Punta Espada (12/14–12/19/25), and WOW! What an extraordinary course. This place is a slice of heaven carved directly into the Dominican shoreline. My senses were completely saturated; words barely do justice to the sights, sounds, and salt-tinged ocean mist drifting through the air as waves crash against the rocks. The staff were consistently warm, attentive, and genuinely accommodating, graciously responding to every request. I was also fortunate to be paired with my caddie, Jonathan, for all four rounds. He struck the perfect balance of professionalism, friendliness, and good humor. His love for the game was evident, and he celebrated my handful of birdies right alongside me. Don’t think twice about treating yourself to at least one round at this gem. Punta Espada isn’t just a golf course… it’s a golf experience.

It is a great golf course. Many enthusiastic golf players dream to play this course. It is a little bit expensive, but it worth playing here. Every single hole is very scenic. Caddies are well trained and know how to play the holes. Do not forget to pay tips to them in cash after your play, 25-40 tips are expected.

One of the most beautiful courses I have ever played. This was my 2nd time and it was just as good as first time around. It's a must play when visiting DR.

Very disappointing experience. We played yesterday at Punta Espada Golf Club and, despite the breathtaking scenery and a beautiful course layout, the overall experience was unacceptable — especially considering the very high green fee. Without any prior check or control, two women were added to our flight who clearly had never played golf before and did not have permission or the ability to be on the course. This completely destroyed the pace of play and our enjoyment of the first nine holes. We repeatedly asked the caddie to intervene or find a solution, but nothing effective was done. The caddie, whom we paid properly (including a tip), focused almost entirely on those players and did not take care of us or our game. After nine holes, when the situation finally improved, the caddie continued to behave unprofessionally — constantly using his mobile phone, making calls, and watching videos during our play. It is unacceptable to charge such premium prices and provide this level of organization and service. A course with this reputation should ensure proper flight management and professional caddie standards at all times. Unfortunately, the experience ruined our day, and we cannot recommend this course based on how we were treated.

One of the most beautiful Golf courses I've ever been on

The most beautiful golf course I’ve had the chance to play. Very stunning vistas. Pricey but well worth the greens fees amount. The greens have a lot of contours that I missed, so having the caddy (Tom) was a big help. Practice area is 1st class…locker rooms are amazing…course conditions were fantastic for July 2024. The shuttle pick up was on time and fast from Zilara/Ziva resort.

What an incredible place!!! A short ride from our resort ( Secrets Cap Cana ) and we were immediately greeted by their welcoming staff. The pro shop was well stocked. The course had a large practice facility. You can practice chipping, putting and the driving range allowed you to hit every club in the bag. The facility offered modern ammenities. Clean locker rooms and showers. The beverage cart was present almost every 3 -4 holes. The cold towel after the round was much appreciated. Our caddie ( a must specially for first timers ) - Jorge was experienced and very knowledgeable. A Jack Nicklaus design. The course offers interesting challenges and incredible views. The signature par 3, 200 yds (from the gold tees) over the water is worth a few photos. Now I completely understand why it was ranked #35 in the world (Golf Digest). Can’t wait to come back!!!
