I have been to the Lodge many times and we love it there. We wil be there this thanksgiving and now with the extended family. The Beach is amazing, tranquil turquoise warm waters on a large bay. The huts are luxuriously appointed yet casual. It´s the kind of barefoot luxury and careless living everyone dreams off while on vacation. The service is attentive and great and the food and drinks are excellent. The pool is always sunny and a great place to hang out. There are several excursions you can do with the family if you want to be a little active. They do have paddle boards, they do a beach seafood bbq on Saturdays and i think right now they are doing a Lobster festival event with Chef Tita! I met Jean-Francois a couple of years ago and learnt about his journey to make this dream place a reality, from concept to execution, and he did a great job. The place and the beach are always clean and I just hope that the surrounding properties would take notice. Maybe the best feature is that they dont allow day customers and loudspeakers. Everyone here seems respectful and courteous. That is why we keep coming back, and, of course, because of the beach. Overall an excellent value.

We enjoyed our time here, it's a lovely little resort on a beach that has a full restaurant service and a beautiful pool. The rooms were comfortable and clean, our beds were good too. I agree that they could use new towels, but otherwise they're quite cute and fun. Some have little patios that are nice. The service was really excellent, everyone was very attentive and the good was good. We enjoyed the pool table, the fruit juice, and the little touches to make things pleasant. They offer a dinner on the beach with lots of grilled meat which we enjoyed on a Saturday night. We came because it was recommended and we enjoyed ourselves!

I was really disappointed with my stay at Punta Rucia Lodge. For a place that charges this much, you’d expect a comfortable and relaxing experience, but the property was completely infested with mosquitoes. Even worse, when I first walked into my room, there were already several mosquitoes flying around inside. It was impossible to sit outside or even relax indoors without constantly getting bitten. For a resort in this price range, it’s ridiculous that they don’t have proper mosquito control or take steps to make guests comfortable. The location is beautiful, but it’s hard to enjoy it when you’re swatting bugs the entire time. Definitely not worth what they charge.

I booked this place for one night only for my partner and I, and I have no regrets. We will definitely be coming back! We came early and were able to put our bags in our room. Due to our early arrival we pretty much were the only people there which added to our perfect getaway. The service was incredible and the people were so nice.

The location and the property grounds were well maintained and absolutely gorgeous. The mattresses were very firm, so just be prepared for that. Like others have mentioned the towels could use an upgrade or replacement. Some of the staff were an absolute pleasure to engage with others gave off an attitude like they didn't want to be there. Huge shout out to Michael the waiter and Eridania the bartender. Our food was delicious. We happened to be there on Parillada night and I have to say the lobster was cooked to perfection. We did pay for the VIP tour to Cayo Arena which included upgrades from the standard package. (sandwiches, bottled sodas, water, ceviche) and it is a must do BUT our captain Anthony gave away some of our sandwiches and soda to other people that were there and not part of our paid group without asking us before doing so. That was totally not cool and incredibly inappropriate.

We visited Punta Rucia Lodge as an excursion from the loud busy resort we were staying at. We were absolutely blown away by the location and service provided. Alexander waited on us at the beach and came anytime we pressed the service button. He was patient, kind, and the service was unmatched. We enjoyed our experience overall.

This place was a dream! From the room being super comfortable to the food, the service, the drinks. We loved everything!! Will definitely come back. We had great service to the point that we remember how amazing Alex, Danger, Ruth, Fernando, Eridania, Edwin, Randy, Estela, Diarky and Elvis were. Superb service and I highly recommend this place!

My wife and I spent a few unforgettable days at Punta Rucia Lodge, and it was exactly the kind of peaceful escape we were hoping for. Tucked away on the north coast of the Dominican Republic, the lodge is beautifully secluded, right on a quiet stretch of white sand beach with crystal-clear water and stunning views. We stayed in one of the beachfront bungalows, and it was perfect—clean, cozy, and just steps from the ocean. Waking up to the sound of the waves and the morning light over the water was absolutely magical. The vibe is laid-back and calm, with a focus on nature and relaxation. The food at the on-site restaurant was great, especially the fresh seafood. Dining right by the beach added to the experience, and we really appreciated the peaceful, unhurried atmosphere. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. Everyone made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The only thing to keep in mind is that the last part of the road to the lodge is a little rough, so take it slow—but once you're there, it’s totally worth it. If you're looking for a quiet, romantic getaway surrounded by nature and far from the crowds, Punta Rucia Lodge is the perfect spot. We left feeling rested, refreshed, and already dreaming about our next stay.
