Punta Vida perfectly captures the Puerto Escondido vibe. A raw, three-story concrete building right on the beach with an incredible sunset view, especially from the rooftop.
Most days feature DJs with a diverse mix of music, from mainstream to various other genres, creating a relaxed but lively atmosphere. Cocktails are solid and fairly priced for PE.
Sundays are a highlight: rooftop access comes with an entrance fee, but it’s worth it — great DJs, cocktails, grilled food, and a fun mix of internationals and locals. The event ends around 11 pm, leaving you perfectly set for either heading home or moving on to an afterparty.
And if you’re very lucky, you might meet Francisco, the landowner — a true mezcal connoisseur — who may invite you to taste some exceptional mezcals you won’t find anywhere else.
