Punthill Apartment Hotels | Flinders Lane

We stayed 5 nights in this Serviced Apartment. Location was superb and there were many eateries nearby within walking distance. Cleanliness was average, there was a used towel during our first day of check in. Housekeeping was not done daily such as clearing of dustbins, tidying the bed and washing of dishes in the sink. I informed the receptionist for a change of bedsheets and towels (left inside the bathtub) but housekeeping was not done when we were back to the room. It gets quite noisy in the night time and we can hear neighbour’s knocking and footsteps due to the thin walls.

The amount of dust on the ceiling in the bedroom was awful, it's coming out of the air conditioning vent. I really didn't feel like standing on the bed to clean it but I didn't want dust falling on me when I'm sleeping. The floor on the one bedroom room on level 5 is so creaky, if anyone walks around it's so loud and it ended up waking my partner up twice. A little more cleaning and maintenance and the stay would have been much better.

For the greed of money, the management overbooked the parking lot, and I didn't have a parking spot on Day 2. When I raised this issue at the reception, the guy came with me to the parking lot and asked me to park at the 'Punthill Management' slot and I had parked there. However, when I checkout yesterday, a foldable bed was resting at the back of my car. A maintenance/cleaning person had taken that bed from the side of my car, scratched the whole car completely on the side and back of the car. Very pathetic service. Need to think of legal action now.

A fabulously central location. Ummm, that's about all I have that is positive to say. The reception staff were unhelpful and untrained. The room was shabby and in desperate need of renovation. Floor tiles were cracked, the kitchen workbench was badly worn, the wifi was terrible and the cleaning was lax. |I will not be staying here again. I visit Melbourne often but a noisy, grubby location is not something I need.

Room is dated, fridge is not cold, extremely dusty in the rooms. Do not stay on level 1, especially over looking the side lane. You can hear everything people eating, sneezing, music, etc.. the cleaning is the lane at 2am is the worst. Building sharing and windows vibrating. Windows closed but you still get the cooking smells. Not double glazed at all. Asked for change in room, but none available. One more night of this, but looking to check out early if we can find another alternative accommodation. On positive note, extremely great location.

Good things - nice big comfy bed - alas that was about it||Kitchen / Lounge - all the plug sockets had greasy dirty dust on them|Dirty foil on the oven shelf|Moldy and dusty air vents in the ceiling|Cracked and chipped floor tiles|Filthy sofa - stained fabric and when we moved a cushion - UGH - so much old food, crumbs etc under them |Stained footstool, damaged kitchen workbench, damaged coffee table||Bathroom - previous occupants toiletries and shower cap|Dirty ceiling vent|Steams up completely when you have a shower|Shower is over the bath with the taps mid bath - so if you step forward you bash your legs on the tap |Shower head in fixed position |Awful lighting - one small LED in the ceiling over the mirror - totally useless for makeup ||The WiFi was not good - very slow ||The whole place needs a total refresh. ||Location is good for city centre but that comes with a LOT of noise - 5am garbage collection and a lot of late night drunk people.

We got given room 111, a disability room on the ground floor, while feeling like a dungeon semi underground with no light and concrete view from windows the room was disgusting. Stains all over the couch and carpet, disability bathroom which was also full of stains and no suitable for non disability, small mirror and sink etc. I went down to reception straight away expressing my discomfort and they did move us up to a room that actually displays as the rooms appear on the website however I will add that while our room was ok after moving, the cleaners pile bags of dirty towels and sheets in all surrounding the elevators on every floor, this is unflattering for people checking in, the carpet in the hall ways is a trip hazard with it bubbling everywhere. This truly is not a 4 star, I would say 2-3 at most, it needs to be refurbished.

I'm really disappointed. I booked for 7 days for my brother and I to be at. Only one is staying at I cannot stay due carpets absolutely filthy. The strong smell of cleaning fluid throughout the building is unhealthy for asthma sufferers. I stayed one night only to find asthma was playing up. And the window could not open from inside. So poorly ventilated. Netflix and as stated cable TV was not available. As the TV was not even a smart TV. So I'm having to split up with my brother due to health problems being exacerbated with the hazards. ☹️. I really thought I could trust these people. The same place down further is actually that's punt Hill is not bad considering this establishment. I've wasted $1700
