Punthill Apartment Hotels | Flinders Lane

The rooms were basic but clean. There was no information in the room as to where the laundry was (there is one on every floor). No room service on weekends but there was a cupboard to get what you needed which was great but the location wasn't clear on arrival. The tap for our bath wasn't working but was fixed when we got back the next day which was fantastic. We didnt have any dealings with the staff apart from check in and out and asking them to fix the bath but they were efficient and friendly. One thing that differs Punthill from the rest of the self contained apartments was little salt and pepper packets provided. I've never seen them provided anywhere else I've stayed and thought this was a great touch. Id advise the addition of a dustpan and brush as we had chip crumbs that fell on the carpet that we were unable to quickly sweep up. The building was old but hey its in Melbourne. We found the room quiet, no noise from elevator which we were right next to or other guests. Definitely would stay there again. Great location and great for the price.

The best thing about these apartments is definitely the location. Right in the city centre. It was surprisingly quiet at night. However, we were woken up by a lot of aggressive yelling from the streets (homeless) most mornings. We paid quite a bit for our apartment and were a bit disappointed with the following: - absolutely no view. Except for a couple of piles of pidgeon crap on the building across the narrow alley. - dust on most furniture. - strange smells in both the hallways and foyers. - the bed was incredibly soft. My friend, renting with me, ended up sleeping on the couch pillows on the floor as by the end of the week it was hurting his back. Bed was fine for me tho. - the furniture was mismatched, and couch uncomfortable. - lots of loud thumping footstep noises from the apartment above. They often got home at 2am. - the elevator was incredibly slow. First world problem I know, but one time I counted to 100 to get up 4 floors haha. Generous kitchen and the staff were quite friendly… and as I said, fantastic location… but because of the above, I would not recommend or stay again.

Repeat stay. Check in was easy. Front desk staff were helpful. Especially Nick who was very friendly. Amenities were basic. No bottled drinks. Room spacious. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen is adequate. Surrounded with lots of eateries. Supermarket Coles was just nearby. Stroll to tram stops. Convenient to go everywhere. Will stay again.

Best location with great cafes immediately below. A short walk to all transport. Loved the access to the gardens across the bridge, arts centre, cbd and cafes. Apartment clean, tidy and comfy. Lots of space for relaxing in also. I stayed a week and kitchen was great for the odd meal in. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay again

The location and room were great! We had an issue with the lift and staff fixed the issue promptly. As there are cafes below, it can get a little noisy, but quiet at night. Overall great and we would recommend this hotel to others.

The location is excellent and price is affordable. The service staff are friendly. The king bed was made up of 2 king single beds and there was a timber bar that ran up the middle of the bed from the join. This made the bed very uncomfortable. The sofa was old and uncomfortable also. The hallway had a very strong and bad smell. Hot water ran out at one stage after just two showers in 24 hours. Overall, the location and price make these apartments worth a look at, but the place needs some love and updating.

We found this experience to be very disappointing. When we arrived we waited 7 minutes to be seen by anyone at the front desk...this was at 2:00 pm ...a time when it should be the busiest! THEN...it seemed that our booking was not able to be found in the system...we were not feeling too good about being at this accommodation. Eventually our booking was found...we were feeling unwelcome, to say the least. |Our one bedroom apartment was extremely small. It certainly needs some TLC...carpet is showing threads and holes.|The bathroom is certainly not easy to use if you are anything but fit...getting in and out of the shower was an accident waiting to happen. |We asked if we could be moved to a bigger room but it wasn't possible. |As for the laundry...I am still trying to find information as to where I can find it. There are no clear instructions as to where it is in this Punthill Apartment. |This is a very convenient location!!!

Fantastic location, next to degraves street, great for dining and shopping. Walking distance from Flinders Street Railway station. Front desk receptionist Nick, provided excellent service delivery. I was able to store my bags before and after my visit. They gave me a free upgrade. The one bedroom apartment was very large. Full kitchen and lounge. Great complimentary ammenities. Fantastic price. Great hotel, I highly recommend it.
