Punthill Apartment Hotels | South Yarra

The hotel has a perfect location, next to a street with plenty of a diversity of good restaurants (local, japanese, mexican, Chinese, Thai, Italian) and is just two train stations away from Federation Square e che downtown. It's nicely furnished, with good taste, and the rooms are equipped with everything, including even a washing machine. My room also had a terrace space, and a desk and a comfortable armchair with foot rest, as well as a table for breakfast. Absolutely recommended.

Nothing Like the Photos!! The staff are great and the location and views are fantastic...but as for the rooms.. they are definitely saving money on the building maintenance, there is none!!! Rough as guts! Horrific plaster,lights and fans that don't work, Mould everywhere, dirty cups,not even milk in the fridge. Such a pity as we would love to go back!

Fantastic location for our family holiday. Our two-bedroom apartment was large, comfortable, clean, and with a great view towards the city. Would definitely stay here again as it is so close to everything we wanted.

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. The front desk manager, a white male, was extremely mean and unprofessional. Our car was scratched in the parking lot, and when I mentioned it at the front desk, he immediately dismissed it and said it was not the hotel’s responsibility. I understand it may not be directly their fault, but the way he quickly pushed away any responsibility and emphasized that it had nothing to do with the hotel was very disheartening. On top of that, the dishwasher in our room was broken and it took them almost two weeks to replace it. For a hotel, such a delay in providing basic maintenance is unacceptable. In addition, when a package was delivered for me, I asked if it could be kept at the front desk for a short while. He bluntly said it could only be held for 24 hours, with a very harsh attitude. I have never encountered such treatment at any other hotel. Overall, it was a terrible experience, and I left feeling very disappointed.

Superb location so close to the public transport, ample of restaurants of diverse cuisines and high quality near by, banks, chemists, shoppings, this has it all. The reception are is modern and inviting but the room is quite dated and could use some attention. Despite the small size of the apartment, there are too many chairs cluttering the space. The bathroom had many sloppy repair work and the wardrobe has a massive old metal hot water tank inside, it’s is so hostile I don’t even want to open it. Some of the cabinet has its edge stripped off. The overall decor is on point and relaxing. The bed is solid and comfortable. Love the choice of using O&M shampoo/conditioner! The receptionists are all lovely and polite that making it up for all the shortcomings.

Our room was beautiful and clean and views from the balcony over the city were amazing. Staff were so friendly and helpful, and the location is close to everything! We will definitely be back 🥰

Terrible experience. Regretted my choice to try out Punthill. ||||1)staffed hours is 9am-8pm. I checked in around 10pm. And encountered below difficulties ||-there is an intercom to speak w customer service. Intercom is faulty and the receiver volume is extremely soft, could not hear much||-the intercom system automatically cuts iff after 1-2min. I have to dial in 4-5 times to speak w different staff to repeat the issues i face.||-9-8pm staffed hours does not work for tourists who started itinerary early and return late. Throughout my stay, i did not see a single staff||||2)no housekeeping on weekends. ||||3)No parking facility arranged. The after-hours customer service told me to find my own parking elsewhere. So much for customer service||||4)on my second night, upon returning to hotel, my key card was denied access! No entry! ||I dialed in 4 times to after hours customer service, there was a lady who was totally non-chalent . I recognise her voice as she was equally non-chalant the night before when i dialed in. Luckily, a guy helped me reconfigured my key card. He told me most probably the front line staff did not configure my card properly. ||||5)one reason i booked punthill is because they have a decent gym. To my alarm, their gym closes at 8pm when their staff knocks off. This is ridiculous. What would it take to have a hotel opens its gym till 11pm, or even 24hours? Are u worried your guests would steal the machines??||||Overall, terrible hotel in every way.

I recently stayed at Punthill South Yarra Grand, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the experience! It's also well-connected to public transport, making it easy to explore the city. The apartment I stayed in was clean, spacious, and well-equipped. It had all the amenities I needed, including a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable bed, and modern bathroom. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any questions or requests. I also loved the on-site facilities, including the gym and parking options, which made my stay even more convenient. I would highly recommend Punthill South Yarra to anyone looking for a comfortable, stylish, and well-located place to stay in Melbourne. I’ll definitely be returning on my next visit!
