Punthill Apartment Hotels | South Yarra

The hotel is in a good location. Despite being close to the train tracks, there is no noise, and the staff is friendly. The room itself was spacious. Unfortunately, the room was poorly maintained and extremely dirty. The kitchen and all appliances were especially filthy, and even the dishes were not properly cleaned. There was dust and dirt everywhere, and the washing machine was unhygienic. On top of that, the sofa and chairs were covered in dog hair. The whole room felt messy and unpleasant. We asked to change the room. The second room was better, but still not properly clean. Overall, we were very disappointed. Luckily, we only stayed for two nights. We will not return.

The hotel has a perfect location, next to a street with plenty of a diversity of good restaurants (local, japanese, mexican, Chinese, Thai, Italian) and is just two train stations away from Federation Square e che downtown. It's nicely furnished, with good taste, and the rooms are equipped with everything, including even a washing machine. My room also had a terrace space, and a desk and a comfortable armchair with foot rest, as well as a table for breakfast. Absolutely recommended.

I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. The front desk manager, a white male, was extremely mean and unprofessional. Our car was scratched in the parking lot, and when I mentioned it at the front desk, he immediately dismissed it and said it was not the hotel’s responsibility. I understand it may not be directly their fault, but the way he quickly pushed away any responsibility and emphasized that it had nothing to do with the hotel was very disheartening. On top of that, the dishwasher in our room was broken and it took them almost two weeks to replace it. For a hotel, such a delay in providing basic maintenance is unacceptable. In addition, when a package was delivered for me, I asked if it could be kept at the front desk for a short while. He bluntly said it could only be held for 24 hours, with a very harsh attitude. I have never encountered such treatment at any other hotel. Overall, it was a terrible experience, and I left feeling very disappointed.

Nothing Like the Photos!! The staff are great and the location and views are fantastic...but as for the rooms.. they are definitely saving money on the building maintenance, there is none!!! Rough as guts! Horrific plaster,lights and fans that don't work, Mould everywhere, dirty cups,not even milk in the fridge. Such a pity as we would love to go back!

Fantastic location for our family holiday. Our two-bedroom apartment was large, comfortable, clean, and with a great view towards the city. Would definitely stay here again as it is so close to everything we wanted.

I recently stayed at Punthill South Yarra Grand, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the experience! The location is perfect, situated in a vibrant neighborhood with plenty of cafes, shops, and restaurants within walking distance. It's also well-connected to public transport, making it easy to explore the city. The apartment I stayed in was clean, spacious, and well-equipped. It had all the amenities I needed, including a fully stocked kitchen, comfortable bed, and modern bathroom. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any questions or requests. I also loved the on-site facilities, including the gym and parking options, which made my stay even more convenient. I would highly recommend Punthill South Yarra to anyone looking for a comfortable, stylish, and well-located place to stay in Melbourne. I’ll definitely be returning on my next visit!

Superb location so close to the public transport, ample of restaurants of diverse cuisines and high quality near by, banks, chemists, shoppings, this has it all. The reception are is modern and inviting but the room is quite dated and could use some attention. Despite the small size of the apartment, there are too many chairs cluttering the space. The bathroom had many sloppy repair work and the wardrobe has a massive old metal hot water tank inside, it’s is so hostile I don’t even want to open it. Some of the cabinet has its edge stripped off. The overall decor is on point and relaxing. The bed is solid and comfortable. Love the choice of using O&M shampoo/conditioner! The receptionists are all lovely and polite that making it up for all the shortcomings.

Our room was beautiful and clean and views from the balcony over the city were amazing. Staff were so friendly and helpful, and the location is close to everything! We will definitely be back 🥰
