Definitely not a four star hotel and extremely overpriced! We have stayed at much better places that had a three star rating. The room was old & tired, dirty, dusty and very dark & depressing. A lot of wear & tear and damaged surfaces in the room, gross stains on curtains and sofa upholstery very dirty. Carpet is very worn and even though it's a dark colour we could clearly see brown stains on it. Bathroom lighting is terrible, especially the very dark shower space. The bathroom space itself is extremely small and it's ridiculous how we had to squeeze past the door to get to the toilet. Definitely not suitable for people with accessibility requirements! We couldn't sleep well because the bed is positioned right next to the door which is far from soundproof. We could clearly hear all noises in the corridor including people walking past, doors opening & closing of other rooms and the noise of the lift. The walls must be very thin because we could constantly hear other guests in the rooms next to us and above us. The only lift in the entire building is tiny and very slow. There are some questionable characters staying at that hotel, which we suspect are long term residents. If we could have afforded it, we would have walked out and checked in somewhere else. To make our experience even worse, we feel very deceived by their so called Black Friday deal on booking.com which definitely said it had breakfast included for the three nights we had booked the room. Upon our arrival, we discovered breakfast was not included anymore! It most certainly was showing on the bookin.com app when we booked it but when we checked it after our arrival it was no longer showing! It had somehow been altered, which we are very unhappy about. Whether it's the hotel changing this deal or a glitch from booking.com, we feel very deceived and the reception staff obviously couldn't care less. They were extremely unhelpful and disinterested, and maintained the breakfast was never included! We have booked many hotels in our lifetime including on booking.com and never had a situation like this before. We were made to feel as if we were just making it up about the breakfast. Even our daughter had seen the breakfast included deal when she was looking for hotels in Brisbane!

Stayed for one week , item off jewellery when missing from our apartment, reported to reception, no use had to go to the police station to log this. Our apartment was clean , bathroom was small but manageable , was on the top floor so didn’t have noise from anyone above us. Corridors smelt off smoke and cannabis , asked hotel staff and admitted was doing some work with Queensland Council and were housing people there , one couple told us , previously homeless until they were housed at Punthill One day couldn’t enter in to the out door area / pool as two large dogs were running around not on any lead. Some very strange people in the hotel , 3 times during our stay someone was knocking at our door late in the evening when asked who is it was told each time sorry wrong room Wasn’t the safes off places Parking very expensive

I enjoyed my stay here and had no issues over my 8 night stay. Positive points: - Wifi is actually very good. Most hotels the wifi is terrible but here it is very good performance. - Room was clean, good size - Comfortable bed. - Good kitchen. Self-service refills of amenities in lobby. - Excellent location. Woolworths just around the corner. Close to central. Negative points: - Very slow elevator, to the point where it is faster to take the stairs most of the time. - Noise inside and outside is not protected very well, so your experience may vary. - Somewhat confusing door lock design. If you're a solo traveller, hard to know if you're actually locking it correctly

Not the best hotel I've stayed in. The only lift is painfully slow and small. The motel states that it is pet friendly but it only includes dogs. The bathroom is really small and there is no light in the shower. You have to close the door to get to the toilet. Double bed is just 2 single bed put together. The balcony seemed dodgy. Car parking is $40 whichI didn't know about. Charged $ 100 deposit and checking in took a long time. Room was clean and presentable. Kitchen was great, had a cooktop, dishwasher pots etc

This was our second stay at Punthill Apartments, and once again, we were very impressed. The reception staff are friendly, and the check-in process is quick and easy. The lobby is welcoming, and the building feels secure. It’s conveniently located – close enough to walk to the city if you’re up for it, but with buses and trains nearby for easy transport. Parking is available for a $30 fee, which is great if you’re driving. The studio apartment was very well equipped, and the room size was exceptional for a studio. It was clean, modern, and had everything we needed for our overnight stay. We will definitely be staying here again the next time we’re in the area!

The management here is questionable to say the least. I've seen three legged races with double amputees run smoother. Booked and paid till the 24th of Jan, was given an hours notice to vacate after letting another guest in my room for a few minutes- he was borrowing sugar. D N [ the assistant manager]is not a service manager on her best day. Always moody , never friendly and just plain difficult to deal with on any basic human level. I would recommend a cardboard box over punthill on their best day. Every other staff member was a pure delight, shame its run by someone that has no people skills , therefore drags the whole experience to the gutter.

Would not recommend!||I booked this hotel as it was directly across the road from Lasersight, where I was booked to have laser eye surgery at 1:30pm.||After arriving at Punthill at 1pm, I was told by the staff that my room was not ready and I would need to check in at 2pm. I explained that I would need a room straight after my surgery, I was again told that I could come back at 2pm.||When I enquired about parking, the staff told me to just go to the parking “next to the cafe”. No pin, no key, or any explanation, so I left my car in the public carpark and was charged $30 by Punthill for nothing. I would appreciate if this could be refunded.||When I asked if my partner could check-in at 2am after flying in from NZ, I was told that could be organised at check-in. Again, the staff had no understanding of the surgery I was about to undergo.||At check-out there was another staff member who was equally as unfriendly, and did not ask how our stay was.||I absolutely would not recommend this hotel to people having eye surgery at Lasersight. Go elsewhere, where the staff are more understanding.

I think a few things are worth noting if you are considering this facility... 1. Uncleanly - the bathroom/shower had lots of mould on it, behind the bathroom door there were multiple urine stains and there was an empty cup of milk in the fridge on arrival showing that even the fridge hadn't been checked or restocked! 2. Not Accessible - super narrow doorways including on the elevator... the doorway into the bathroom blocks off the toilet and you basically have to play jigsaw to get to the toilet, or step over it completely to be able to sit down on it. If you have a mobility issue or mobility aid, I would not recommend this location. 3. Lousy furnishing - our "large double bed" was just two single beds pushed together - considering the price we paid (over $800 for three nights), I have stayed at *way* nicer in the same area for similar price ranges. 4. Paper-thin walls, could easily hear people playing tv, playing music, and even just talking with both theirs and our door shut.
