The entrance ticket to Puro Mangkunegaran is 30k and only non-cash payment is accepted. The price already includes a local guide (you may or may not give a tip). The tour takes around an hour, including walking around and taking photos.
There are a few dress rules: shorts are not allowed (you’ll be given a cloth to cover if you wear them), and velvet kebaya or parang-patterned batik are also not permitted.
It’s best to come early in the morning, around 9 to 10 AM it’s still quiet and perfect for photos and continue to eat breakfast in Pracimasana at 10 AM.
Every corner is beautiful! Inside, there are two restaurants, Pracimasana and Pracimaloka, both require reservations.
Some areas are restricted since they are still private parts of the royal residence.
