Pura Provisions

Another fantastic meal from Chef Joshua and his team at Pura Provisions! The service, attention to detail, and most importantly, the food was out of this world. This meal was the icing on top of a wonderful vacation in Costa Rica. Can’t wait to come back!!

Josh was GREAT. He cooked at our condo one night and also provided provisions as well as prepared meals during the week. I would recommend Pura Provisions to anyone visiting.

We set up a family catered dinner at our rental house in Los Sueños. The set up was simple enough and my intention was to surprise my family with a private chef to cook our fish from a charter. The organizer Maria was very pleasant to deal with but did not invoice me before the dinner. She quoted the chef services at $130 "plus the cost of ingredients" for our family of 6. This seemed very reasonable. The dinner went very well and we were very pleased with the service. So then what a disappointment that AFTER dinner I get an invoice that had the "cost of ingredients" for 6 of us (including two children) as more than DOUBLE the cost of the chef (!!). This is after I provided both the fish and the wine. So this is a great option for private catering-- but insist on the invoice up front to avoid any surprises. My mistake to not insist on the invoice up front.

I'd like to share my positive experience with Joshua and his team. They served us breakfast for four consecutive days, and each meal was absolutely delicious. Joshua was punctual and displayed a high level of professionalism throughout our time together. Highly recommended!

Pura Provisions is great! They brought huge trays of wonderful, well priced food on our first night in town. We also ordered pizza from there later in the week. Definitely recommend!!

Our family used Pura Provisions on our family vacation —I cannot recommend them highly enough. Maria and the chefs went above and beyond to provide our family with an incredible meal, with all the bells and whistles—but above that they were joyful, engaging, and took time with our children answering all of their questions and letting them assist as “sous chefs”. The meals were nutritious, delicious, and as good as any five star restaurant. Maria even took care of a lovely tablescape and helped us with special occasion birthday details. They are fantastic!! Book them asap!!

Maria and the Pura Provisioning Team stocked the house we rented before we arrived and later in the week pulled off an absolutely awesome meal to celebrate my wife’s (surprise) birthday party for 10 people. The food was delicious and presentation perfect. We couldn’t have asked for better service! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this culinary team. Thank you so very much.

Maria and Yanahan were amazing! They even used the tuna we caught along with our meal. Every detail was taken care of down to the table scape. The food was so good, we asked for a few recipes!
