Visiting Tirta Empul was an unforgettable spiritual experience. The temple architecture is stunning, and bathing under the stone spouts filled me with calm and clarity. Having a guide made it simple to follow the proper steps, understand each fountain’s meaning, and feel more connected. Even though it gets busy, entering early made a difference. I left feeling refreshed, peaceful, and deeply respectful of Balinese tradition

I would give 4 Stars if less entry fees. The temple is nice, but except for the holy spring, average to other big temples. It was not too crowded when we visited on a Thursday late morning. Normally lots of esoteric/ spiritual western people there to take a bath in the holy water. For them it may be a 5 Star location. Currently several constructions ongoing. Up the hill is some location, from where you can get a nice view on the temple.

Nice temple , peaceful and culturally rich. To enter, you need to cover your legs, but a sarong is provided for free at the entrance, which is very convenient. After the visit, there’s a local market along the exit path where you can browse souvenirs and traditional products. A lovely and authentic experience!

I was here without a guide and was hoping to hire one at the site. Surprisingly the “guides” were not aggressively promoting themselves and it took some time for me to actually get one. But I’m glad I did, because the guide helped me understand more about the purification and the process, as well as the cultural and historical background of them.

Beautiful place. Lots of great architecture and statues. Unfortunately I may have been in the background of a lot of tiktoks and people doing it for the gram which took away from the beauty. Busy and crowded on a Saturday morning, but worth it nonetheless. Not sure about the other reviews that complain, it is what it is. 5 stars for the temple, 1 star for the complaining tourists. Don't travel/go home if you don't like it 😋😋

The most important temple in Bali and worth seeing. We had a chance to see ceremony of purification. A little renovation is ongoing, but the visit will give you a mood of real Hindu Shiva temple

Tirta Empul is a truly special place — where spirit meets body. If you’re on a journey of self-discovery or spiritual growth, this sacred site should definitely be on your list. Be sure to take part in the purification ritual in the holy spring — it’s a powerful and memorable experience. For those familiar with concepts like chakras, karma, and spiritual healing, this place resonates on a deep level. The entrance fee to the temple is 75,000 IDR, and it’s worth every bit for the peace, energy, and insight you’ll gain. A must-visit for anyone seeking a more meaningful connection with Bali.

Tirta Empul Temple is truly beautiful and definitely a must-visit while in Bali. Although it can get quite crowded, the experience is still very special. One thing that really stood out is how respectful and fair everything felt, they don’t overcharge or exploit tourists, which is rare and deeply appreciated. I’ve visited many countries, and it was refreshing to see such honesty here.
