I would give 4 Stars if less entry fees. The temple is nice, but except for the holy spring, average to other big temples. It was not too crowded when we visited on a Thursday late morning. Normally lots of esoteric/ spiritual western people there to take a bath in the holy water. For them it may be a 5 Star location. Currently several constructions ongoing. Up the hill is some location, from where you can get a nice view on the temple.

Underwhelming for touristy purposes, great for praying. There are no proper guides, but if you find one, do try to take 5-10 mins out and understand the history/meaning of praying here. Note for Hindu-Indians, the place is very similar to a lot of other Hindu temples. Can be skipped if you are not highly religious.

Nice temple , peaceful and culturally rich. To enter, you need to cover your legs, but a sarong is provided for free at the entrance, which is very convenient. After the visit, there’s a local market along the exit path where you can browse souvenirs and traditional products. A lovely and authentic experience!

Very good temple to see! Everyone is very polite and attentive, wonderful temple to see and the water purification is worth the visit. Free sarong is provided, especially if you are showing your legs. If you can, when leaving the temple, there is a path crossing the stream opposite the sarong stand, you can walk up this path to another temple. This was the highlight, its steep steps and takes about 10 minutes to get to but so worth it. No one was there and the temple was beautiful, surrounded by rice fields. Bear in mind as this a temple, you still need the sarong! Only reason this isn’t 5 stars is the market afterwards you have to walk through. It’s very narrow and you get pestered a lot to buy items.

A beautiful religious sanctuary with multiple water based sacred rituals associated with it. Quite touristy and popular with travel influencers, thus drawing unnecessary crowds at times who aren't respectful. The exit to the large complex meanders through a very dense handicrafts market with probably the best value on bargains. Compared to other local souvenir hot spots like Ubud market etc. This is a whole lot better. Very peaceful in the mid morning hours and in low season.

Pura Tirta Empul is a Hindu Balinese water temple located 15 km from Ubud. Locals snd foreign travellers anyone can take a dip in holy water, it is believed that this ritual is for purification. The entry fee is 250INR and sarong to visit temple is free. For taking bath bathing sarong and lockers are available on rental sarong fee: 5k, locker: 15k= 100 INR).

A beautiful temple for spiritual purification. I recommend going there right at opening time, as there are fewer people and you’ll have more time and space to explore, enjoy, and find peace. There are facilities to change clothes and you can also buy items for prayer.

Came to visit on a weekday in the early afternoon. There is a large parking lot available, the ticket counter was easy to access and prices were affordable. They have clean restrooms available at the entrance. There was no line to enter. This is a beautiful religious area and temple dedicated to Shiva. The statues and artwork are detailed, intricate and entwined with nature. You need a sarong to enter the grounds to walk around. You are able to take pictures. You have to option to bathe in the spring water and pray/cleanse yourself. If you choose that option they provide a different colored sarong. They have attendants who are helpful and will guide you where needed. They also have separate praying areas. Once you exit, you return the sarong and there are many shops lining the path to the parking lot. Vendors are many,.prices are great, prepare to negotiate and take home some nice trinkets/souvenirs. Overall a great experience into the spiritual life of Bali residents. Side note, you can see the president's palace near the temple.
