I have been getting my hair cut here for 17 years. I have had the wildest hair cuts ever and every single one has been absolutely perfect and exactly what I asked for. I asked for half my head shaved and there was no "are you sure" it was just let's go. I am always made to feel safe, heard and like everyone there are my friends. Cannot recommend them enough! And I mean every single stylist! I recommend them all ❤️

I only came here after seeing all the "good reviews". For me, this turned out to be a complete and utter waste of time and money. If the photo I showed to the stylist was not going to work for me, why didn't she just say so? And could have recommended something else that would have worked for me. It was because I had 6 months of regrowth, and I hadn't had it cut for 6 months, because I was growing out another disaster of a cut from another place. There was enough length to be able to do something good with it. I ended up going elsewhere a few days later. One side was longer than the other, bits were too heavy around the face, it needed weight removed etc.... It needed a good restyle..... It looks so much better now, that I had it done again. I ended up paying twice for a haircut! I have said this before, many salons I have been to up here are the worst places I have ever set foot in for haircuts! They only seem to be able do long, straight, flat hair! I have tough, very thick hair, and lots of it, and I don't think they know what to do with it. Showing pictures does not help. Why are they so expensive too? All that to have a bit of hair trimmed off!

I love going to get my hair cut at Purdey. I’ve been going for maybe 10 years, or more, and it has been the perfect experience every single time. Jen is so skilled, helpful and friendly. All the other staff are friendly too. The background music is often really good and I can always count on getting a nice cuppa there too. Great location too. Highly recommended!

Fabulous salon and staff who listened and suggested ways of growing, styling my hair. My first visit and was made to feel very welcome and had a super cut with Damien. Can't wait to visit again

I've been going to Damian at Purdey for a few years now and wouldn't think of going anywhere else to get my hair cut and coloured. My hair is in the best condition it's ever been and I have it styled exactly how I wanted. I'm so glad I made that first appointment. All the staff are friendly and passionate about hairdressing - they actually listen to what you want (which is quite rare, in my experience). And as you sit there getting coiffed you will experience the loveliest chilled beats floating through the warm wonderful smelling hairdryer air - really good music. Highly recommended - for your hair and your ears :)

I got my hair dyed from brunette to a dark blonde with Euan, he did a great job, really took his time and gave me exactly what I asked for. You could tell he was really experienced and knew his stuff. The salon has a great friendly, relaxed environment. I can't recommend it enough.

This was my first time at Purdey and I was very impressed. I had quite a complicated colour correction and also a cut, and I can honestly say I felt like I was in safe hands from the first moment. Very welcoming atmosphere, the whole team are genuinely lovely, I'll definitely be a regular customer!

I've been going to Purdeys for years now. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and always leave with the desired result. Actually love going to the hairdresser, feel like I'm catching up with a friend 👍🏻 And they're doing a great job adjusting to Covid-19
