I never want to leave a bad review, but I can't stop thinking about the experience I had for makeup for my wedding day. My time at the salon was hands down the most stressful part of my entire wedding.
1- I booked makeup and specifically said it was for my wedding, they said their standard makeup service would be fine. When I sat down, she said I didn't book wedding makeup and I would be at the discretion of whatever SHE thought looked good on my face. I should have just left.
2- more of an fyi but I wanted my mom to come with me since it was my wedding day, but no guests due to covid which I understood.
3- I was already on a timeline, and they got started about 20 mins late because they said their airbrush machine was broken. They were running around and seemed very stressed.
4- I am well educated in makeup so I came prepared with photos, my own brand new palettes in case she wanted to use (totally fine if not though), and was very specific that I do not look good in cooler tones, requested natural warm tones only. I ended up with BLUE/PURPLE eyeshadow. She also was making weird jabs at the product I brought saying she had never heard of it (MAC palettes??).
5- I brought a bunch of different lashes, including individuals for her to help me apply. She had never seen individual lashes before, and the strip she did apply ended up with glue all over my eye.
To top it off, the salon called me after and said they didn't charge me enough, so would have to charge me more. Overall, I felt extremely uncomfortable, not listened to, and unwelcome. They were unprofessional and kept making me feel like I was an inconvenience. I tried to keep a good attitude and be kind (like let's keep things positive because I'm getting married in 2 hours), and left a full tip. But I just felt compelled to let other brides know my experience.
Maybe this salon is good for other services, but I would not recommend their makeup services.
