Thank you for a little piece of paradise.. I really enjoyed the time there and I would highly recommend to my family and friends. The room I stayed in was pet friendly - there was dog bed and bowls. The space was great as it was all in one room and my dog felt safe and warm.. The food is fabulous in the restaurant and bar. Breakfast was gorgeous too.. It's such a nice place and such a friendly atmosphere. Thank you for having me and my little dog stay..

Being coming to Achill 3 years and for some reason unknown to me I had missed this place to eat but was highly recommended to me by my sister in law. Staff were very friendly and very helpful, views are amazing and best of all food was delicious . Pizzas were a big hit with me and the boys and even a few of the people in the group who just didn’t like pizzas found lots of other dishes and different cuisines to eat . The menu is very varied so something for everyone. Oh by the way the BBQ Wings for starter were fantastic also Definitely worth a visit in my opinion but I think it’s best advised to book in advance

Visited with a large group of friends. Majority of the staff were excellent. Couldn't do enough for us, except the manager who was rude and unhelpful from the minute we walked in the door. Definitely wouldn't return as a direct result of how we were treated by the manager. Orders were wrong and when it was pointed out she laughed in my face. She took my order. All our soft drinks were flat and poured from a 2 litre bottle which seems to be the norm here looking at previous reviews. I must stress the rest of the staff were lovely and the food was good but if you're looking to be treated appallingly by the management this is the place for you

The best place to stay! A very nice and professional establishment with outstanding service. If I could suggest one addition, a coffee station for early risers would make it absolutely perfect!

Highly recommend staying at Magic Lodge. Location is excellent with stunning views. About 3 kilometers from Keel. The restaurant serves great food, especially the pizzas! No bar licence but a wide selection of beer and wine. There was a great atmosphere in the lodge - we ate there the two nights of our stay. The rooms are basic but spotlessly clean. Only minor niggle - a very lumpy pillow but I grabbed one of the other bed in the room and it was perfect! Fabulous service too!

I found Pure Magic to be a disappointment. Having camped for 8 years in Achill, this year we decided to treat ourselves to a bed. We have often eaten in Pure Magic and it always looked like it had great potential. But it was grim. We are a family of 5 so we stayed in two rooms. One family room smelled a lot of damp and we found the source eventually - a wall which was wet to the touch it was so damp. Also the shower and sink had no drainage at all - it was fobbed off as an environmental issue - recent rain etc - but I expect it's an untended pluming issue. In the same bathroom there was a large chunk of skirting board rotted away beside the shower - again lacking maintenance and attention. There is also nowhere to hang out apart from your room - if you go out for dinner, you return and are not welcome in the bar for a drink as the place is filled with dinner guests - we had to go to bed at 8pm instead of hanging out as a family playing games etc. The place has a fab location and the makings of something special, but Magic it is not.

I love Pure Magic - it’s such a lovely place, it has such a relaxed atmosphere. We had a really delicious Chowder, then Prawn Tacos & then a really nice dessert. Service was brilliant, really quick and very friendly.

I stayed at Pure Magic for two nights. The hotel is easy to find. There is an unsecured car park across the road but given the location I think everything was safe. My room was small, no TV and a tiny bathroom but it was lovely. The room was bright and airy, it was spotlessly clean. The only thing the room lacked was storage space. The only place to store anything was on two deep shelves, so I would say, anyone staying for a longer period might find this inconvenient. I was happy to live out of my suitcase for two days. As I said, the bathroom was tiny (a converted cupboard?) but it was easily sufficient for my needs, again spotless, towels and toiletries supplied and an excellent shower. |Breakfasts were very nice, cereals, orange or apple juice, eggs with bacon and mushrooms or French toast with bacon. Tea and coffee. There is a restaurant used by local people which I didn't use but another resident told me it was good. The hotel bar closes when the restaurant's last customer has left, so late night drinkers might have a problem. At that point all the staff seem to go home so access is via a coded door lock. The staff in the hotel are really lovely and very helpful. In particular Robyn and Sarah looked after me very well.
