I love love LOVE PURE! It's truly the only fitness studio in Austin where I feel everyone is welcomed, regardless of level. Joining a new studio / trying a new workout can be intimidating, and Pure was so great and has made me fall in love with the Lagree method. I love that every trainer takes the time to learn your name. I haven't taken every trainer's classes yet, but here are some of my fave: Bri - Okay, Bri is the biggest hype woman. She makes you feel strong, safe, and encourages you to not give up even when the move is hard. I love coming to Bri's classes cause she is the best motivator and makes me feel like I am unstoppable. Liz - I LOVE Liz! I truly believe my form has improved because of her classes. She is amazing at walking through every move and making that mind-muscle connection. I also feel truly connected to my breath and my body in her classes, then I always end up being so sore, haha! Emily C - Emily's classes are HARD and she makes class feel like a boot camp, which I love. It truly feels like group fitness and we're held accountable for each other and do stick with the move til the end. I love going to her classes when I want to get a good leg/glute workout in. As an ATX native, this is my absolutely favorite studio in Austin. I LOVE PURE!!!

Bri’s classes 5:30 Mondays and Wednesdays are the best!!! Bri is such an enthusiastic instructor. She makes us work hard, but has such a great humor about it that it makes the class go by quickly! Her cues are simple and effective and helps you get the most out of a move. I’ve been to other Pilates classes at other gyms, but Bri’s is my favorite!

This place is my addiction. I fell in love with the body transforming magic of the megaformer several years ago, back when i was living in LA. It was the worst kept secret - that all the models and actresses did it to get their best bodies - rapidly. I recall seeing dramatic changes to my body after the first 2 weeks, and the changes just kept going. There’s a reason they call it “sculpting” - that’s exactly what it does. With refined, gentle, fierce precision. I lived abroad for the last 3 years, and trye worst part was that there were no megaformer / Lagree studios anywhere i travelled. No matter what other workouts i did, i got injured, and My body slowly got mushy again. Not only is this workout low impact, it fixes injuries, by creating alignment and focusing on slow twitch muscles . It’s literally the only workout i will do anymore The moment i returned to the states, and moved to Austin, one of my top priorities was i looking for the best megaformer studio. I tried TLS ATX Global, Urban Lagree, and Solid Core, as well as Pure Pilates. Pure Pilates south lamar location stood out, hands down, as the best megaformer classes and teachers in town. I always get a great workout, the instructors give great cues, the studio is beautiful, and the machines are super sturdy. It’s been such a relief to watch my body transform again, getting long and lean and toned - the way only Lagree can transform it. This method improves posture, symmetry, strength, tone, and overall gracefulness. My core has never been so strong, my body awareness has become so microscopically focused and unified. Doing this workout, you really zoom in on the mind-body connection, because everything is in slow motion. I find it to be somatically therapeutic. After serval months of doing this nearly every day, I walk like i’m floating… when i dance it’s like flying, because my body mechanics are so seamlessly unified now, and i have such body awareness and control. It’s a miracle. During the workout, You use every single muscle, for every single exercise, in slow motion. It turns you from a bag of wiggling bones, to one long tube of interconnected strong muscle, from top to bottom. And best of all, it’s so much fun! Lagree is the first workout I’ve ever done where i love it so much that I crave it - it’s a joyful healthy addiction. with the megaformer, I never get injured, because it’s low impact. It’s gentle strength, (but the workout still makes football players struggle) I’m not even joking when i say one of the things that makes me not want to travel anymore is because i would miss my lagree If you’re questioning if you should give it a shot - let the big sis in me gently nudge you towards the best thing you’ve ever done for your body in your life!

Favorite Lagree studio in Austin! I started taking classes at Pure Pilates in 2017 and haven't looked back since! It's the most effective workout I've ever done and I have seen such great results. It's low-impact and beginner friendly, but is always a challenge. The trainers each have unique teaching styles, so there's a match for everyone. Recommend checking it out!

I joined Pure Pilates when the studio opened in Jan 2018. This is the most efficient workout I've done. It is a great complement to my bikram yoga practice, hiking, and swimming. All of the instructors are top notch and professional. There are a wide variety of class times and three locations which is essential for me because I like to take classes a bit later in the morning. I encourage all of my fitness minded friends to check out one of these challenging workouts!
