Pure Placid

Stopped in to do the DIY candle making! The gentleman who helped us was so nice we enjoyed talking with him while making our candles! Came back to purchase one, great to do when its cold out!

I am truly disappointed with the customer service at Pure Placid. I placed an online order for a body lotion and a body wash as a gift for someone. When I received my order the first thing I noticed was the body wash was not fully filled, it was 1/4 empty. I checked the box to see if it had leaked and nothing. I reached out to the business several times and never received a response. I work in customer service and this is just SO disappointing that no one could take the time to just respond, especially given the price of the body wash at $20!! Unfortunately I will no longer be purchasing from this store.

I left a voice mail this morning regarding a candle making class that I wanted to bring my granddaughters to. I received a voice mail back stating to come in when we got into town. When we arrived Beverly was so pleasant. She was able to get my granddaughters in for candle making which was our main purpose for going to LP. She was such a delight explaining things to my inquisitive 8 year old granddaughter. It was such a sweet experience. First impressions are paramount in a business. I can say this was my first time in the store but it won’t be my last. Thank you Beverly for your helpfulness, positive remarks & genuineness.

DO NOT MISS THE CANDLE MAKING EXPERIENCE! We were lucky enough to reserve a candle making class with Cathy at Pure Placid. We had so much fun and learned a lot about candles. The scents are amazing and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. One of our favorites in LP. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

Got some of their cashmere sweater lotion and it smells absolutely amazing. I put it on and just breathe it in. The scent also lasts which I love. Very bright and clean store. Definitely recommend.

First, let me start by praising the owner. She is awesome l. I hope you read this post. You were kind, helpful, assistive, and the perfect owner of a business. The candles are amazing, the scents perfect, and the Epsom salts were bomb! 💣💣💣 I absolutely LOVE this store. I will be back 🙂🙂🙂 I enjoyed making candles and it is the perfect place to take someone for a date.

My boyfriend and I came in during my birthday vacation; made our own candles and were met with such warmth & kindness. We enjoyed our time; they let us have our time but also interacted with us. I told them how I was finishing up my bachelors degree during our chats. We ended up picking up our candles the next day and they included a card. It was so heartfelt and sweet; unexpected too! I wanted you both to know how lovely that was- it made my day. Can’t recommend you guys enough!

We booked a candle-making class, and it was going well until the instructor decided to ask everyone what they did for work. When I told her what I did, she started asking incredibly rude and embarrassing questions. For context, I’m an editor. I initially gave her grace because I thought she just didn’t know, but then she told me she had friends in the creative industry. It seemed like she absolutely knew the questions she was asking were rude and hurtful. I didn’t pay over $600 with the expectation of being humiliated. She also admitted to using AI in her marketing, so I wouldn’t feel comfortable ordering from her website.
