Great, small bar at the very end of Central Ave. I have gone there for several concerts and have always had a good time. The bar is small and features several small separate sections and outdoor seating. The bar had frozen and un-frozen drink specials and a good selection of beers. The performance space is upstairs and very cozy. Great place to see new music. There is a bathroom upstairs as well as downstairs so you don't have to leave the show floor. There are CitiBike stands fairly close so you can ride there or take the L, which leaves you maybe 3 blocks away.

Super fun dive bar! Have DJed here in the venue they have upstairs, took my sister for a karaoke night once, and sometimes I come for a random drink with my girlfriend. Cute little side rooms with CRTs and couches.

Purgatory is a wonderful bar that truly supports so many types of creative performance art and performance artists. The decor is cool. The bar staff is a bit rude but it’s genuinely fine bc its a great bar

Cute queer bar in Bushwick! Bartenders are super nice, but note that their drink selection is quite limited. They can do simple mixed drinks but no cocktails or anything complicated. Thinks vodka sodas and gin and tonics. They have many little nooks of comfortable seating and they offer drag performances on the second floor. They also have outdoor seating as well.

LOVE the vibe here! Very queer friendly and the drinks are quite affordable. If you’re into a club kid kind of vibe, Purgatory is for you 🎪🤪

Likely one of the best bars in NYC. The fun thing is that... paradoxically... it also feels like it somehow exists outside of New York. When you're there, it's like you'r3 both traveling and welcomed home at the same time. P.S. I saw ChroMaZonez Music Group upstairs. They were fantastic.

Friendly staff and the place itself is definitely dope. I didn’t stay very long just one drink and bounced but it was cool. I love the lights. There’s a venue upstairs but my friend and I didn’t feel like paying so we left

The color and lighting makes for a great atmosphere. The drinks are pretty good as well. The only issue is that there are no drafts and only a small selection of non-liquor based drinks.
