Yet another great stay at the Puri Santrian 30 November to December in the Premium Deluxe rooms. Two couples, two rooms. ||We booked in April and requested room 350 where we have stayed for many years or nearby. We were given a room on the second rather than the requested third floor. I objected at check in and we were then given a third floor room that looked directly onto a roof with no other view. Third try - room 347 the next day. Wonderful! ||Lovely staff, gardens. Lovely returning guest coordinator Yuli, who gets things done! We were offered a free meal at the mezzanine restaurant - superb. The breakfast offerings now include a small gluten free selection, thank you. Much appreciated.||I had a birthday while here. The hotel provided a cake x2, flowers, cards and big 72 balloons denoting age. The staff would've sung happy birthday at breakfast but being a shy reticent type, I opted out. Your birthday can be a Big Event if you want it to be here. Not me.||We bought our neighbours here for the second time. We all loved it. This hotel is very special, mostly due to its staff and Balinese owners. Yes, it could do with some modernisation, especially in the club rooms (but what a fantastic pool!) Location-wise unbeatable. ||The only sour note this time was no fault of the Puri Santrian hotel. We were appalled to see what has happened at the end of the beach walk path at Mertasari. What a mess. Kite flying no more, a fenced off music arena that had miked up people screeching/screaming hysterically loudly over the top of crap music. Lots of rubbish/motorbikes. Awful. No peace, calm, serenity, chill environment. No Bali feel, just noise+++++++++||This made us treasure the Puri Santrian vibe all the more when we got back to it (10 minutes walk).

I stayed here for 3 nights. The grounds are stunning, The staff were super friendly and helpful. I stayed in the adults only area which was lovely. The buffet breakfast was lovely. However, inside the room there were minimal powerpoints to charge your phone and in the least convenient places. But I found one that was suitable. |The adults only pool was great and very quiet. However, there is a pool closer to the beach. You have private lounges on the beach itself for guests.

I spent 2 nights here in a Santrian Club room. I did not enjoy this hotel at all. For the price, I could not believe the room. It was small, very dark, a little dank, and completely uncharming. The bathroom was functional but nothing nice. The buffet breakfast was plentiful but was quantity over quality and the restaurant food was not great, especially for the price. I had just spent 5 nights at a cheaper hotel in another area altogether and the food there was so much better and half the price. Whilst parts of the grounds were lovely and lush, the areas around the pools were all concrete and not inducive to laying to enjoy the sun with a book. The staff were lovely and friendly and helpful. They honestly seemed to be the only people in the whole place who were smiling. I've definitely realised big hotels (and Sanur) are not for me, but even if they were, I can't imagine I'd be impressed with this one. Honestly, I can't understand all the good reviews.

A group of 6 stayed booking the Santrian Club. Sadly 1 couple wasn't put in the club area and we wasn't together, another couple had to move rooms after a day because there wasn't a ground floor room ready. Aside from that our room was big and clean, a bit of a musty smell but the rooms are waiting an upgrade so hopefully this will be rectified. Shower was very small so hopefully that will change with the upgrades. The location is right on the beach and close to shops, bar and restaurants. Staff were nice but wasn't that friendly. Buffet breakfast was outstanding, much choice, loved it!! Afternoon tea had the best cakes sadly the tea was often cold. We only ate in the restaurant once as the food was pricey, but nice. The resort was so clean and those maintaining the grounds were always friendly. Unfortunately one of our days there was a private event on that wasn't very private, it was to noisy to sit around the pool with the swim up bar and no sunbeds around the other pools. We asked for an airer for our bathers at the stay of our 4 day stay and never received one so we had to dry then on the chairs out the front. We never went to the spa, even with the discount it was very pricey. If you are going to book book directly with the resort you'll get a better deal.

I love the resort on the beach. Location in Sanur very good. The staff are friendly. But a few things to note: a lot of mosquitoes that we are trying them in the room for hours, birds making noises outside our room till 12/1 am, hair dyer doesn’t work, bedsheets/ towels not very clean with yellow/ black marks

We have just come home after 12 glorious nights at the Puri Santrian. (Oct 12 to 24th)|We had a ground floor Club Room, steps from the beautiful pool, serviced daily and very comfortable. |Breakfast choices were extensive and a highlight, the grounds were beautifully maintained and the staff friendly and helpful. |The location at the south end of the beach walk was perfect, it was quieter but within easy reach of restaurants and cafes etc. |Free use of bicycles were a bonus, and most days we used these.|Sanur turned it on for us, the weather was perfect, not a drop of rain, and it was very quiet outside of Australian and NZ school holidays.|Very relaxing with lots to do should you choose.
