I spent 2 nights here in a Santrian Club room. I did not enjoy this hotel at all. For the price, I could not believe the room. It was small, very dark, a little dank, and completely uncharming. The bathroom was functional but nothing nice. The buffet breakfast was plentiful but was quantity over quality and the restaurant food was not great, especially for the price. I had just spent 5 nights at a cheaper hotel in another area altogether and the food there was so much better and half the price. Whilst parts of the grounds were lovely and lush, the areas around the pools were all concrete and not inducive to laying to enjoy the sun with a book. The staff were lovely and friendly and helpful. They honestly seemed to be the only people in the whole place who were smiling. I've definitely realised big hotels (and Sanur) are not for me, but even if they were, I can't imagine I'd be impressed with this one. Honestly, I can't understand all the good reviews.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel. There are so many positives.|Firstly, the hotel eels spacious as there is so much lush greenery to walk through and enjoy. The staff are fantastic, everyone is warm, friendly and helpful. Breakfast is decent and varied enough. The pool with the pool bar is great. The hotel's location is superb, right on the beachfront. Sanur is just heaven as a resort. Deluxe rooms were nice and big, with an extremely comfy bed. Room a little dark though.... ||Few small negstives. Adult pool for the deluxe hotel is not enticing. Loungers are in the shade by a wall.. There was also a banking presentation one of the days which took over the outside seating area and was very loud. It could easily have been held in an inside area. It was clearly a money making exercise, but it impacted negatively on people staying at the hotel. If you were onoy at the hotel for a few days, it would have been annoying.|Despite this, I would definitely come back.

We stayed in this hotel in August and had a great time, due to issues with other parts of our holiday we stayed longer than anticipated and occupied most of the different categories of rooms on offer , our favourite was the premium deluxe , a very comfortable room and well equipped.|The hotel is gorgeous the gardens stunning, all the staff were amazing they acknowledged your presence with a smile and a hello which goes a long way.|The gardeners , the beach cleaners , the room staff work so hard and do an amazing job to make your holiday special. The breakfast is good , offering a wide variety of food to suit all tastes , my one personal niggle would be to put some ice in the water at breakfast to keep it cool but that’s only a small thing. The food in the hotel is good , along with the drinks on offer which are not badly priced for a hotel. The pools are great very clean ,we personally loved the adult only pools which were beautiful. We don’t usually revisit a hotel twice but we will definitely return . We also liked the fact that the managers didn’t hide away from guests they took time to speak to you .|Special thanks to the porters who were just so accommodating and helpful , the reception staff if fact all the staff. Definitely a good hotel , great location nice ambiance, we will be back next year thank you

A group of 6 stayed booking the Santrian Club. Sadly 1 couple wasn't put in the club area and we wasn't together, another couple had to move rooms after a day because there wasn't a ground floor room ready. Aside from that our room was big and clean, a bit of a musty smell but the rooms are waiting an upgrade so hopefully this will be rectified. Shower was very small so hopefully that will change with the upgrades. The location is right on the beach and close to shops, bar and restaurants. Staff were nice but wasn't that friendly. Buffet breakfast was outstanding, much choice, loved it!! Afternoon tea had the best cakes sadly the tea was often cold. We only ate in the restaurant once as the food was pricey, but nice. The resort was so clean and those maintaining the grounds were always friendly. Unfortunately one of our days there was a private event on that wasn't very private, it was to noisy to sit around the pool with the swim up bar and no sunbeds around the other pools. We asked for an airer for our bathers at the stay of our 4 day stay and never received one so we had to dry then on the chairs out the front. We never went to the spa, even with the discount it was very pricey. If you are going to book book directly with the resort you'll get a better deal.

As a family we were travelling around Bali for over a week and Puri Santrian was our last destination. This was the location we spent the longest and were we suppose to rest and enjoy the peace. This is why we were so disappointed on what we got and how our holiday ended in Indonesia.|We got a small very dark room -the lights had to be on all the time- as a family of 3 and suitcases we really struggled for space, this is not what you normally get in Bali. We arrived really tired as we had a long car journey behind us, we just wanted to take a nap. Our room wasnt ready yet- fair enough, we were an hour before check in. Eventually, we got our room, but was no chance for any rest as we were right next to the building works, which was going on all afternoon. Asked if we could move and was told, they will find us an other room as soon as possible. Waited till next day and as we didnt hear from anyone we unpacked the suitcases. Night time was just as bad for noise as the window /door is very close to the walkway and we could hear everyone who walked by. So, I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you want to sleep. |One of the evening, we didnt have hot water for shower. After an hour someone came to fix it- by this time it was 10pm- as wasnt able to fix it, we had to walk to an other room to take a shower. In the morning we still didnt have any- got fixed by the evening. |I had to call twice to get a towel drier, waited over 2 hours before got delivered. Shampoo/ bodywash bottles are tiny and never got replaced- 3 times went to reception to ask for more. ( We would've used our own, but being away for weeks we run out). Water delivery is very poor- not enough as you need to use it to wash teeth and so on|Biggest disappointment was checking out, not once we were asked "how was your stay?" or any other kind, friendly Goodbye we use to have in Bali. It was very much like pay your bill and off you go. |However some positives there - the hotel has a good location. lots of restaurants, bars, shops close by. the beach is just at the back of the hotel, not the nicest to swim in- had to go further if you want to swim. |Round the pool the staff is lovely. Food is okay.

Bed was a big let down in Santrian Club room. Resort great, pools great. Food great. Staff very good. Bed bad, so they added a lumpy topper first night, second night added blankets under the sheets Third night moved room. Bed ok although pretty firm. but then air cond not working for two nights. Last night after feeling like a big whinger they moved us to santrian deluxe room. Very good and what I would expect of a bed for hotel in this price range.

What an amazing hotel. From arriving the staff were friendly, attentive and very helpful. The rooms were immaculate and spacious , air con was perfect and the view was beautiful. We chose to stay at the adults only area and it was stunning. The breakfast catered to all dirty requirements and the gluten free bread was delicious. We ate here on an evening a couple of times, each meal delicious. The pools were kept really clean and tidy. We hired bikes and the staff were really helpful. Every single staff member who passed us smiled and spoke to us. This hotel is a dream and I already can’t wait to come back! Worth the very long flight.

Checked in for the last 2 nights (paid for 3 to keep room for our late flight) at the end of our holiday. Room wasn't ready for early check-in, despite sending multiple messages that weren't answered. Waited 2 hours but was ok as we went for a massage on the street opposite. Checked in to our Santrian Club room (270) which was first floor. Room was spacious, with a big bed and great shutters on the windows and a nice pool view from the balcony. The room was Balinese style, but felt old and worn. The fridge was probably older than me! The bathroom was orange, dated and the bath took over half an hour to run. However, the bed was the worst we had slept in ever on 20+ trips to Bali. We requested a topper, then a second but the bed had a serious list and a body shaped dip in the middle of one side. The Santrian Club pool feels a little like God's Waiting Room - we were the youngest there, in our mid forties, by at least thirty years. It's definitely for the older clientele on that section!!!!! However there are a good number of sun loungers. ||The next morning we saw the manager and were offered an upgraded room in the Deluxe section which was ground floor, felt more secluded, had a nice balcony with a lounger and table setting. The room had a giant bathroom, and good storage. The lighting was better too. Although, there are only about ten loungers around this pool serving at least 30 rooms. The pool is however, stunning! ||Overall the hotel grounds are impressive, the staff are attentive and the service good. Breakfast was not the biggest buffet ever, but what it lacked in selection it provided in quality. And it was not boring. ||However, the downsides would mean we would likely not book here again. The shower in our upgraded room was awful. The rain head rained in 100 different directions, the small head kept falling off and the consistency of hot water was a problem. The fridges are old, and really require replacing. The lighting in the rooms needs an upgrade as you need all lights on to see. The toilets are low and block easily! And the beds are just HARD! Like, really really hard! ||For a pricey hotel, I would have expected better ||Oh, and you pay for ice to be brought to your room. And the food at the restaurant is expensive. My daughter paid $75 for two mains and two starters! And I paid $25 for a Pad Thai.
