Puri Wirata Dive Resort and Spa

Great spot. Good snorkelling right out front. Strong cocktails, probably the best in Amed. Great food. My only thing is the dive company make you walk to the dive sites with wet suits and weights on. Wouldn't be a problem if I was 10 yrs younger. All in all a great spot, good staff and a good price.

A very pleasant hotel with a beautiful garden, swimming pool, and sea views. Wonderful, very helpful staff. Very clean, spacious room with a beautiful sea view. Peaceful, green surroundings. We highly recommend staying at Puri Wirata Dive Resort and Spa.

I stayed at this hotel for a week, and while I truly believe the staff do their best with the resources they have, it’s not a place I’d personally recommend.|There are certainly some positives worth mentioning: its location is fantastic—just steps from the beach—with two lovely pools that offer beautiful ocean views. I also appreciated the affordability of the excursion transportation.|However, the hotel shows signs of needing serious maintenance. Unfortunately, the bed linens were torn, which felt like a clear sign of neglect and a lack of attention to detail. Breakfast was repetitive and served without much care, which added to the overall impression that there’s little pride or passion in the service. You can sense that something is missing in the atmosphere—it feels like a hotel simply going through the motions.

Very scenic place. Amed as such is generally a rather calm area with comparably little tourism. Hot and dry compared to inland. Aside of the beautiful scenery above water it is a good place to go snorkeling or learn scuba diving. Puri Wirata features a good restaurant, romantic / gorgeous sea view and many options above and below water. There were several families as well as romantic couples. Have not tried the spa, but assume it is good given the generally high standard of the location.

Great value for money resort. Friendly and trustworthy staff. Always helpful. Rented a scooter for the week which is a must if you want to see anything Amed is a very long place.

We loved this hotel. It was clean and spacious and we loved our view of the ocean from the room and pool. Breakfast was excellent! We had dinner there ladt night and I had a delicious rare tuna nicoise and yummy shrimp spring rolls too. There is road construction up top but you can’t hear it as you walk down the steps to the hotel. The grounds are beautiful and the staff works hard.

Convenient spot for snorkeling, whether straight in from the resort or short trip by boat with a local fisherman to underwater temple/pyramids. Resort facilities were very nice. Staff super friendly and helpful. Kitchen put out a good range of consistently great food. Room was great, only downsides were lack of aircon in main room of villa (but present in bedroom, so not a huge deal) and some drainage issues with the shower. Otherwise a fantastic spot to relax for a few days!
