PRO-TIP: Though in a very touristy court, it is not cheap in quality! Excellent food, service, and ambiance.
What an amazing little place! My mom and I were horrifically hungry and had no idea where to eat. After aimlessly wandering, quarreling over where in the hell we were going to eat, we stumbled first upon their sister restaurant, or I guess mother restaurant, just a block away (Cantina 65 I think?), but the wait was over an hour. We walked back to the touristy little square and put our name down for food and was seated in minutes. We were NOT disappointed. We sat on the little patio outside and the ambience in the square was fabulous. In using the facilities, the interior decor and ambience was also so romantic, cozy, and hip as well. Also, every staff member we encountered was professional, helpful, and so kind.
We even had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with the owner, who at the time of our visit in June of 2017, had only had Puro4050 open a month or so. During our conversation, we heard a ton of loud explosions and were actually frightened, but he assured us that they were fireworks because it happened to have been one of Portugal's National Holidays and explained the whole day to us! Thankful for the reassurance to us tourists without the background knowledge of the significance of our travel days.
The food was just fabulous - Portuguese fusion. It was all fresh, full of flavor, and had amazing texture to each dish we tried. We had the pork/boar fingers which were well seasoned and tender (not tough) - share or bring a BIG appetite for this dish as it is so filling. We also tried their zucchini dish with cheese and it was so delicious. You honestly cannot go wrong with anything here. It is fabulous.
