Puro Surf Hotel & Performance Academy

Puro is the best. Stanley and axel were awesome instructors and the whole staff is super friendly! It is an amazing facility. I really felt my surfing progress as they kept us in a good growth mode of new techniques throughout the week. The video analysis was key! And well put together. We also loved Alessandro’s U Natural class. It is such a cool way to experience the natural movement of the body. Thanks Cony and crew! You all rock and we will be back!

As a 50 yo East Coast surfer that never had a real lesson during my 35 years of surfing, I thought it was time to try to maximize my current capabilities to keep surfing for the next 30. The staff and instructors exceeded my expectations in terms of knowledge, training approach, and individualized coaching. I learned way more in a week than I thought possible. Im hoping to bring my son next time. Cheers to Cony, Stanley, the photog team, and supporting staff that provided a positive, encouraging, and challenging experience even for this 50 yo kook. Highly recommended for surfers of all levels and ages!

Wow! This place is truly beautiful! This is not a 3 star hotel, I think it’s more of a 4+ especially for El Salvador. We’re world travelers and enjoy from small boutique to 5 star luxury resorts, this is a must! Service is great, rooms are comfortable and have cold AC, the grounds are beautiful and the restaurant food and service is excellent. We’re here in July and the only thing is the waves are big and beach is rocky, so we’re driving to San Blas beach today but that’s the season not the hotels fault. So glad we picked this place as our last stop in El Salvador.

This trip is one of the BEST family vacations we’ve ever taken. We’re an adventurous family that loves to be active on vacation, our usual trips include things like hiking through Patagonia, skiing out west, sailing and boating adventures… Puro Surf will go down as one of the favorites among every one of our family members. The surf academy has been created to perfection! Every detail has been curated with care and attention and honestly I can not speak highly enough to the entire experience! From the beauty of the hotel to the food to the amenities (concrete skate wave, yoga, video analysis, weight room) to the AMAZING STAFF!!! We had a 10 out of 10 experience and all got better surfing!! As a Mom I felt like my kids were in the best hands and stage even when the waves were pretty big for our standards. The staff is one of the main reasons we will be coming back! Tito and Alejandro are exceptional coaches and just made our entire experience perfect! The whole family was so sad to leave!! Puro Surf we’ll be back!!!

This place has made my life so much better! I've been twice and I will definitely return! It's a perfect paradise and the best part is the instructors and the staff - especially Nani who made Puro Surf feel like home since the second I arrived. Thank you to the team!!

Our family had such an amazing time at Puro Surf! This trip was such a wonderful combination of beach, surfing, and relaxation. We even threw in some of their daily classes like yoga and surf-skate lessons and found a few new unexpected hobbies! This place is the definition of a respite and a retreat! We stayed in a very comfortable triple room with 3 beds, hot water (our only lodging in El Salvador that had it), and a balcony that overlooked the ocean. The open-air restaurant (breakfast was included) and the infinity pool are among the most serene places on the planet! We had a blast watching the professional surfers from the pool. In addition to having all our meals here, we also loved all their coffee and smoothie options. If you have any hesitancy on bringing your kids to El Salvador, book a week here, and you will want to make this your new go-to family destination (especially with very reasonable flights from the U.S.)! The area around Puro Surf in El Zonte is very safe and walkable. However, you don't even need to leave the resort if that's your preference.

We had such a great time at Puro Surf! The surf coaching was excellent—very observing, encouraging, and tailored to each person. Loved the video analysis and practice drills, they really helped me improve. The waves were long and perfect for learning, and the staff were so responsive and friendly. Couldn’t have asked for a better surf camp experience!
