Purple House

We had a marvellous stay at the apartment. The hospitality of the host was outstanding and the apartment comfortable.

We stayed at Purple House (the red one) for 6 nights in July. The house was well equipped and Henk (the host) was extremely friendly and accommodating before, during and after the stay (he even sent pants I left behind by mail to the next hotel I was staying at free of charge). The area felt safe with community security guards commonly around. If we ever come back to Capetown I will be sure to stay here.

Stayed for 5 nights at 106 Waterkant . Guido greeted us and gave us recommendations about local restos etc. that was very helpful . Henk met us the next day when we registered and welcomed us warmly. These guys obviously enjoy their work and it shows. The house was lovely and complete and whisper quiet. Tastefully decorated and in very good condition. They arranged a driver to take us to Cape of Good Hope in a private car that was very good. Superb location for Capetown with everything close by.

We stayed at Purple House during June 2024. We stayed at the red-corner house. We were very happy with the accommodation, the host was very kind and helpful, he accommodated any special requests we had. The red corner house became our home away from home, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cape Town.

Staying at the Purple House was one of the many highlights when visiting Cape Town. My two hosts was so helpful, kind and always available when needed. The room was beautifully decorated, neat and clean. Breakfast was amazing and you are treated like a queen. The Purple house is walking distance from the waterfront and has several great restuarants around. I enjoyed my stay there and will definitely stay there again.

I have stayed with Guido and Henk at Purple House on Jarvis 4 times now and it is an absolute pleasure to enjoy their hospitality. Purple House is not only a Guest House it is their home and, they are justifiably proud of what they have. It is simply beautiful, and, a breakfast which sets you up for the days sightseeing! Well placed for all the attractions of Cape Town, surrounded by good food establishments and close to some great nightlife. Not only are Guido and Henk fantastic hosts, they are a mine of local information. Very very highly recommended.

The Purple House is a great holiday place near the V&A Waterfront. Its a great place to stay when in cape town. The owners are very helpful and inside is very nice.
