Purple Lantern Restaurant( An Bang Beach Hoi An )

It was recommended in TripAdvisor. It serves seafood & Asian food. Had Fresh Noodles with BBQ Pork, Stuffed Whole Squid with Minced Pork and Grilled Whole Red​ ​Snapper.​ These are individual portions as the squid and snapper came with yellow rice and buttered rice respectively. For drinks, we had pineapple juice & mango lassi. The food was delicious, both squid & red snapper were fresh and were cooked just right and juicy. Staff were very friendly and helpful, checking on us & other customers. They helped us to talk to the Grab driver to come into the lane to fetch us instead of us having to walk out to the main road. They even came out to the Grab car to send us off 👍🏼👍🏼. There is a friendly dog wandering around. The staff told us its name is Nicky & he is 14 years old. Service was quick. The place is cosy and airy. The waitress informed the restaurant was popular with Singaporeans, coming in big groups (not tour groups), having read good reviews about it.

Not an exaggeration. This place is stellar. It’s a beautiful family restaurant with wonderful lantern decorations. Service was extremely pleasant with good pricing and yummy food. Our lovely waitress, I wish I got her name, memorised our order and after our meal we had a pleasant conversation with the owner. The food was wonderful and the prices were great for me as a student. I had delicious spring rolls and BBQ pork and noodles. Also we had complementary passion fruit after our meal. It was such a lovely experience, highly recommended by yours truly

A beautiful, unique restaurant experience. The White Rose Dumplings were delicious as was the slow-cooked chicken with lemongrass(I'm not sure if you're supposed to eat the lemongrass shoots and I was too embarrassed to ask). The staff are absolutely lovely, and took such great care of everyone in the restaurant. I really appreciated the calming atmosphere, lighting, and colouration, as well as all the lovely decorations.

This is a great stop Just outside of Hoi An ancient city, away from the tourists. The food is great! I especially enjoyed the grilled whole red snapper, definitely recommend! Also ask the server to whip up some chilli sauce, it was delicious and went well with everything! We also had the scallops, pork and chicken clay pot, and the morning glory, all were very great!

We came here 10 years ago when it first opened and was just 8 tables. Came back 3 years ago with the kids and now again. Every time this place hits the mark. Na’s food is amazing. The whole family is there to serve. Worth the trip! The grilled seafood is well priced and the grilled beef was my daughters favourite thing in all of Vietnam

We choose the beef and seafood to cook ourselves over the charcoal BBQ. Everything was delicious, beef was extremely tender and well seasoned and seafood all fresh. Staff were friendly and attentive with nothing a trouble for them. We will be back!

Go to The Purple Lantern! We loved the experience. Delicious authentic food. Lovely wholesome and friendly atmosphere. BBQ at table was such an experience and such attention to detail, home made chilli sauce 😋Na and her team couldn’t be more lovely and our beef and seafood were cooked to perfection at our table. Thank you for a memorable evening and the best dinner we have had in Vietnam!!!

I ate at Purple Lantern in Hoi An and ordered the BBQ seafood with charcoal along with a watermelon juice. It was the best watermelon juice I’ve had, fresh and with no sugar added. The seafood was delicious, flavorful, and not greasy. The service was excellent, and the restaurant had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. They even gave me a free passion fruit for dessert, which was such a nice touch.
