Just a super place in the Ciudad Vieja. (There is also a good branch on Diez y Ocho, great book selection but no cafe or stained glass.)

The place itself is worthing of visit.. embedded in a fascinating library and located in the second floor, you will not regret the choice of having a great time sorounded by books and history.. the menu have vegan and vegetarian options, the attention is fantastic and the prices accesible.. don't hesitate! Go and see for yourself!

Not just a library, but a bar as well

Nice surroundings for a restaurant in old bookshop with stained glass decor. Nice, reasonably priced menu del dia. Also great salads. Good service. We enjoyed our lunch

We didnt like the service. Also, when we went to pay the bill, they added a tip without asking if we wanted to leave one, so we only noticed afterward. Average food.

Traditional place to take a coffee or a drink, have a sandwich or a more elaborated lunch, located at the second floor of one of the better known bookshops in Montevideo, with nice views to the street.

Fantastic book store and cafe. There is a small English book section.
