When we arrived, I had a problem with my new rental car, and, without me asking, within seconds, the owner and his college-age son were standing next to the car. |With their assistance, my error was quickly corrected and problem solved. On the morning of our second day, my wife left her travel purse in the backseat of a transfer vehicle, but the error was not discovered until 6:00 pm that evening when we returned to the hotel. It was an essential item that we must have before our departure the next morning. The owner and his son, Tom, made our problem their problem. They called the transfer service, the purse was located, and Tom was at our door within the hour delivering it to my wife. She thanked him profusely, and he just humbly replied "No problem, it's what we do." These are just two examples of this family-owned hotel's dedication to providing their guests the very best stay possible. ||Additionally, this a beautiful hotel with large squeaky-clean rooms situated above a crowd of lesser hotels bunched in the village below, and the advantage of this prime location provides the hotel's rooms and balconies with unrivaled views of the surrounding rock formations. We have traveled the world for over 50 years, and highly recommend the Junior Suite with Panoramic View. It costs a little more, but is well worth it. Each day began with our balcony view of the rock formations directly behind our room, followed by a plentiful breakfast buffet located in a comfortable cozy nook that encourages the guests to interact and get to know one another. Although it sits above the rest of the village, it is only a 5-minutes walk down from the hotel to several excellent restaurants for dinner. As this review suggests, we found the Pyrgos Adrachti to be a great base from which to make the most of our experiences in Kastraki and the amazing Meteora!

We stayed at Pyrgos for its incredible location overlooking the majestic rocks of Meteora — and that view alone makes it worth considering.||The hotel is simple and rural, not the most comfortable, but convenient and well-priced. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast is decent. However, the rooms could use some attention: bathrooms are outdated, and overall the spaces feel a bit neglected and in need of renovation.||That said, nothing was bad enough to make us regret the stay. If you're visiting Meteora and want a strategic base with breathtaking views, this place delivers — just don’t expect modern comforts.

Pyrgos Adrachti is a wonderful, relaxed hotel. Our host gave us great info about visiting the awesome Meteora monasteries. Sitting on our balcony with the amazing view, watching cats and turtles in the backyard while enjoying a beer, was heaven.

We spent a hectic 16 days in Greece and this hotel was the perfect place to relax after a hard day of climbing up and down steps at the wonderful monasteries in Meteora. ||The owner Thanasis was the perfect host. Great advice on hikes in the area as well as places to eat. I had many interesting conversations with him as he was always around to provide a little colour to the area.||At the end of our two active days it was wonderful to relax on the patio or balcony with some drinks. ||The rooms were comfortable and were even equipped with extension cords with USB plugs for charging our devices.||I would highly recommend a stay here if you are in the area.

A great value for a fantastic setting. Hotel owner/operator is a lifelong native who is happy to share all the needed information about the little village of Kastraki, Meteor, Kalambaki and surrounds. The hotel is cleverly designed with a wonderful eating area, good balcony. Some noise carries between rooms and the shower has its quirks, but it was great to stay.in a place run with such pride.

Pyrgos Adrachti Hotel the hidden gem of Kastraki. This purpose built hotel is beautiful with spacious rooms and comfortable guest areas. The free breakfast is a delightful way to start the day. The location provides magnificent views of The Rock Holy Spirit and other towering pillars the area is famous for. The location provides easy access to the loop road that includes access to monasteries and spectacular viewpoints. The hotel is family run and the proprietor was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area providing a map, monastery hours and viewing suggestions. Try the trail next to the hotel if fit. There are several cafes and restaurants close to the hotel. If adventurous include the Eagle Nest restaurant located high above the valley while driving the monastery loop road.

This is a great spot, especially if you are going to hike to Metora. You leave right from the parking lot to the trail. The rooms are big. There is a large parking area above and to the left of the hotel. It's not intuitive that it is for this property but there is actually plenty of parking. The owner built the hotel about 20 years ago. He grew up here and lives close by. I would definitely stay here again. The photo is from our patio.
