The Q Factory is a great, simple hotel. I was a bit unsure after reading mixed reviews. But I believe some people are just picky. But if you don't mind a minimalist approach, then it's fine. |The hotel is very nice, has a nice bar area, and the reception staff were lovely. The room is very simple, but overall perfectly fine for sleeping and hanging out. |The only thing was the bed; it was a double, but two single mattresses held together by a mattress topper. Apart from that, it was great. The room has a desk, a mini fridge, great wifi and a big TV and the shower was great. In a good area, plenty of supermarkets and shops. Also, like a 5-minute walk away from the station. For the money, it was a very good hotel, clean, fresh and very quiet considering it's a music venue/school. I would definitely go again, and if you don't mind a minimalist room then it's perfect.

For a 3 star hotel, it provided a 3 star experience. So our expectations fit the experience. The service was great, the people were friendly and they did provide a travel crib that we asked for. It could be loud on weekends at night. The hotel portion was located on the 3rd floor. The 2nd floor has a lounge/bar and the first floor has a restaurant/bar. The rooms were spacious, not exactly as pictured (for us) and we wish there was a larger table or desk.

Me and my friend stayed here for a long weekend back in march and had a fab time in Amsterdam. We had a twin room and beds were mattresses on the floor but was comfy enough. The room was very hostile like and bare but good for the money. There’s also a bar with food underneath and live music’s venues underneath the hotel and shows they have on. The staff were friendly. We ubered everywhere anyway but not a terrible distance from the centre and there’s a station near by. A very whacky hotel that screams Amsterdam if your on a budget id recommend!

Too cool to be a hotel?|It seems being a hotel is just a hobby for this concert/rehearsal/hangout for musicians.||When we arrived, 2 adults 2 children, for check-in we were barely acknowledged.|Until we were told to move out of the way as a local hero musician was passing through the reception.||The room was horribly warm, as the AC was not working.|The staff acted as this was a surprise, but the presence of a couple of rattly fans in the room makes me think the AC had been down for a while, but they had simply not bothered to fix it.|We were promised free breakfast, but this was not seen through, as our bill showed we paid for the breakfast.|The breakfast? Very mediocre. The scrambled eggs were not tended to, and both days we spent here it was dry.||One of the windows in the room were broken with sharp edges protruding.|There were some tape on the window to hold it together…yikes.||The television had NO channels, so if you didn’t bring your own Apple TV you had nothing.|Again, this problem was met with no solution from the staff.||On the morning of departure we managed to forget our Sony ear pods in the room.|We have since sent two mails regarding this, with no reply.

Location is good as 8 mins from a train station, and close to a number of shops/places to eat Booked 3 rooms, for myself and colleagues to attend a conference 15 min walk away and fundamental issue, is the photos on the website do not look anything like the real thing. Rooms are very sparse in decoration and not the bright hip rooms suggested. Its industrial chic but without the finish! Also, no iron when I needed to get some shirts sorted out, an annoyance OK to get sleep, but not a hotel I'd want to spend time in.

The room looked nothing like the photos. The “balcony” is shared with five other rooms, so we had to keep the door shut and curtains closed, no privacy, light or air. The room smelled of sewage, and the hallway smelled mouldy. There was no greenery as advertised, just one fake plant. The balcony was neglected, with only two chairs and small tables. We left within hours and booked another hotel through Booking.com for our visit to Amsterdam.|The hotel never responded when we reached out. The receptionist told us to speak to Booking.com, but Booking.com said they couldn’t refund us without the property’s approval. Many reviews mention the same issues, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

If I could give no stars, I would. It's absolutely bizarre that this place continues to sell out considering the conditions of the room. And especially with the reviews online! I made the mistake of booking this "hotel" with a third party travel website (reviews seemed okay on their website and we weren't planning on being in the room all day anyways) On arrival, the place looks run down and I didn't feel safe in the immediate area. When we entered, the place smelt stuffy, moldy and honestly like feet. The desk staff was nice - we got to our room after going through hallways (which continued to smell worse and worse) There were stains of God knows what on our walls (especially on the wall by our bed) the fridge was filthy, covered in what I believe was milk. There was mould everywhere and even opening the window didn't help the smell I didn't want to even sit on the bed, I doubt they changed the sheets from the last guest. Within 15 minutes, we went downstairs and checked out - the receptionist didn't seem surprised . All in all, DO NOT book this hotel, unless you want to throw money away

Well , booked here for a night for my sisters birthday , got to the hotel about 11.45am , got to the desk asked the lady behind the counter about check in and what not , to be told she was the cleaner and don’t know , stood for a further 25 mins roughly waiting on someone (even tho cleaner never went and got anyone) then up rocked two people in suits to the desk , both ignored us and carried on with their day , eventually after about 45 mins hanging a group of lads came in and someone appeared from the stairs area to show the group to their rooms , I approached this person to be told check in was 3pm and well that was that , she walked away no help whatsoever, so we got the tram into the square and found a hotel in there for the night which was local , cheap , and really friendly lady on the reception. Had to make our way back here the next day for transfers so we went in had a hot chocolate which was nice and was nice sitting around the open fire ,but I would avoid this place so much .
