Q Station Manly

We had a really fantastic 2 night stay. The room was lovely, although air conditioning would have been better as the weather was hot. The view is spectacular. Boiler house restaurant was superb. The staff were amazing particularly the people at reception and the shuttle drivers. The ghost tour was exceptionally good. What a location and rich with history. We highly recommend a stay at QStation

We had an extended stay of 10 days. The location is beautiful and the site is well appointed. We loved that history is being preserved and utilized. The room was nice and spacious, with great views from the verandah. Staff were helpful and polite. The breakfast was hearty and plentiful. The reasons the rating is not higher really sits with the weather! When it is hot, the rooms are very warm, and as heritage buildings we understand that putting aircon in is not permissible, but perhaps putting in insect screens so the doors could be open to give some airflow? Or maybe extra fans available. We all got bitten by either mosquitoes or ants. Overall, loved the place. Being out of the bustle but such a short trip into Manly, but the rooms could be a bit better appointed

It's a gorgeous place and a must visit while you're in Sydney. Beautiful scenery, lovely beach, wildlife around. I booked a harbour side view. The view was stunning and the room nice. However, it's important to note that it's one big balcony, you don't have your own. This is fine except I was directly next to the 'lounge' where other guests can come come and sit (P5/8). People brought down bottles of wine and treated it like a bar. While a shared space is a lovely idea, it shouldn't be adjoined to people's rooms. The other rooms were empty so I'm not sure why I was put there.

An absolutely wonderful environment in which to stay. An incredible location in Sydney. Lovely friendly polite staff, great food and restaurant. Comfortable and clean rooms. Using bus to get from A to B can be a bit of a hassle especially for people with mobility issues.Room wasn’t ready at check in. Spare bed not made up on our arrival. Third towel not provided. Towels taken when room cleaned and we were left with no towels. We requested more and they never arrived. So housekeeping was a bit of a problem but everything else was excellent.

Just 30 mins from the Sydney CBD, every moment at Q Station feels like a dream from slow mornings to golden sunsets🌄 Q Station is rich in history with over 150 years of history. It opened as a quarantine station from 1830 until 1984. Absolutely loved exploring the heritage cottages and buildings, each with it's own fascinating story. There's so much to do here from learning about it's history and ghost stories to relaxing on the beaches (Quarantine Bay), snorkeling or enjoying other beach activities like kayaking. It's the perfect blend of history, nature experience. A little drama, we were initially given a disabled bathroom instead of a bathtub room as stated on the website. Luckily, it was fixed immediately after we told them. It really showed how attentive and accommodating they are.

Whilst the “hotel” aspect of the First Class Precinct isn’t overly premium, the experience of this property is truly unique and absolutely worth a visit. Getting around the resort is easy with the complimentary shuttle services shared with other guests. The rooms are full of character and rich history — staying here genuinely feels like stepping back into the late 1800s. During my stay, I chose to do the history tour at the Visitor & Tourism Centre, which I highly recommend. It gave me a deeper connection to the generations who lived here before, sharing both the challenging and the beautiful parts of their stories. Museums around the area showcase original pieces, and walking through the site feels like exploring a preserved island village from another era. I would happily recommend this experience to anyone visiting Sydney — especially in summer. One suggestion: it would be wonderful to see more thought put into the Accor Plus Explorer benefits for this property. Something unique to Q Station would elevate the stay even more — perhaps a complimentary kayaking session, a history tour pass for guests who don’t drink wine, or a small memorable touch that highlights the character of the site. Overall, it’s a beautiful and meaningful trip that offers something very different from a standard hotel stay.

Excellent set up for booking in at reception and quick shuttle to our room in the Isolation area. Lovely room with nice seperate living room, very comfortable and so quite!. Cloudy day so no sunset but later that night after the "extreme ghost tour" we enjoyed the beautiful lights of Manly and the City from the deck of the Isolation Rooms Guest Lounge. Shuttle on demand service meant we could meander down through the whole station and then get the regular shuttle back to our room. Food at Boilerhouse was sumptuous and breakfast by the beach at the cafe was yummy. Overall great experience and lovely staff from all over the world especially Lisbon!

This place is clearly stands out as a unique and natural setting very close to one of the worlds most bustling cities. The staff were great and should be awarded for their dedication. However you should ask what events and the location of events during your stay so that you can better plan your activities. We had a wedding held just metres from our door on our last night. It wasn't a problem for us however staff purposely chose not to let us know. Had they informed us we could have better planned our stay, not to be around the happy revellers on that evening.

Nice free museum with information about Q Station. Nice little public beach - small, but quiet. Pretty views.

Ordinary looking wharf with fantastic views. (Seems like you can even hold a wedding ceremony by the wharf !) There is a "Luggage Store" Cafe and Museum by the wharf. The museum is very small but worth having a look. There is also a restaurant 150m away from the wharf - Boilerhouse restaurant.

Q Station Retreat is the Accor hotel refurbishment of the former North Head Quarantine Station in Manly. I hear they run ghost tours of the place, which I put out of my mind when we came to stay with the whole family for a wedding. There were a lot of us - so we booked up several of the 3 bedroom cottages. It's worth noting that although you can sleep 6 adults in the place, they will only allow 1 car per cottage, which is a massive pain when trying to organise everyone and their small children. They do have a shuttle bus to help with transferring around your luggage, but it's not ideal when you have a house full of toddlers and babies. After the wedding we had one driver ferrying people back and forth and they got cranky with us about the number of cars reporting to the one cottage, although it was the same car doing repeat trips. The cottages themselves are heritage style (read: old) but they do the job. We weren't here for luxury accommodation. The pillows and mattresses are atrocious and probably haven't ever been replaced since the fit out. I couldn't imagine sleeping here for more than one night. The views are lovely and we did enjoy being able to walk to each other's verandahs to catch up. Not somewhere I'd ever stay again by choice or as a couple, but if you're in town for a wedding at this or nearby venues like Milestones, it's a good option.

Would like to give no star at all if possible. Bathroom/toilet is far away from the room. In the middle of winter, this is really inconvenient. Not expected at all for the prize that I paid. Booked through Webjet and no warning about this. The communal bathroom is poorly kept, pools of water on the floor and in a dungeon like place. When asked to be moved to a deluxe room (with bathroom attached), they charged me extra 30$ a night, when I made the booking, I remembered that suite and deluxe rooms were same price (I chose suite thinking it will be better). Total rip off for very poor condition rooms and poor customer service. If you want to see the view (which is really beautiful), just walk through the compound but DO NOT STAY in this hotel. Stay at one of the other hotels in Manly. Very disappointed. I will not be coming back to stay nor recommending to anyone. Wish I had looked at the reviews before booking and coming here. Such a waste of beautiful location, spoilt by bad service and bad management.

Quarantine Station is a tourist attraction with great history and operated all the way back from 1832. I actually took a ghost tour which was quiet an experience! Had a great tour guide and some great scares. Q Station is reputed to be one of Australia's most haunted sites. Q Station is located at North Head on the shores of Sydney Harbor in Manly, Australia. It has amazing views overlooking the Sydney Harbor and the skyline of Sydney which looks really cool especially looking at the night lights when it's dark. You can jump on a ferry and get away from the busy city from Circular Quay to the Manly Wharf which is only a 30 minute ferry ride with great scenic views! Head down the main Corso, check out Manly Beach and walk the North Head Walk to Q Station and check it out for yourself!

Highly recommend this venue for any event and conference. We were treated to a tour, beautiful dinner and a lovely room for the night. The views from the property are amazing. Will definitely recommend Q Station to my family, friends and colleagues.

Beyond frustrated with the horrible service and the clueless people who work here. We waited an hour for our ferry. Five minutes before we were set to catch our boat, we saw the Manly Ferry leaving the dock. Evidently, one must wait at the end of the long dock waving and screaming for the ferry to actually stop. I'd sort of understand if we arrived even a minute late, but that was not the case. The idiot who works in the cafe said "this happens everyday." Really genius? Hmm, you might want to consider putting a sign in the cafe where everybody waits informing them of this asinine policy. Avoid this place. Life is too short.

So much history! The amount of information here... wow! So interesting. Even showed you the showers they showered In. I walked up there from the Manly Wharf & I.T took about 2.5 hours. So worth I.T!

Food was pretty good, I had to wait 10 mins for my alcoholic ginger beer. Waitress spilt champagne on my nephews head. The other waiter Filipe is shit at pouring beers.

Definitely 2 star facilities. We have found ourselves staying here for 5 days and it is not as advertised. The staff are pleasant but the retreat is understaffed. We attempted to rent canoes and snorkeling equipment as advertised however no one was at the desk. After eventually finding a staff member I was informed that no one could help me for a further 2 hours because the only qualified staff member was giving tours, Incredibly frustrating. The breakfast buffet was expensive and not maintained. More like a campsite. I resorted to eating my cereal with a fork because they had no clean spoons and I waited for 15 mins for clean spoons before resorting to the fork. Non of the units have AC so be prepared to sweat all night and day. Overall the Q station is overpriced and I will definitely not stay here again or recommend any one stay here. We are resorting to losing our money due to a no refund policy and paying for a different place to stay. NOT A RELAXING PLACE
