Qafqaz Karvansaray Hotel

An architectural masterpiece, and a more than wonderful hotel in terms of reception, cleanliness, and cooperative staff.

Writing a review after 4 years of my trip... Amazing hotel stay yet in my short travelling career...rooms are spacious, hotel is clean and well maintained and the amenities are first class. Loved the restaurant food and the morning buffet breakfast which had lots of choices along with live kitchen counter as well. The proximity to Tufandag resort in winter helps so you can take the rope line to the highest peak of AZ.

hotel is located in a quiet part of town, it is about 1 km from city center, there is a small market across the street. ||the hotel is very nice from inside with decorated wooden doors. the rooms are average size, we had junior suite that included a small sitting area at the entrance. the rooms were clean, the furniture a little dated. ||one interesting thing was heated floor in the bathroom. there was good supply and pressure in the shower ( there is no tub)||the wifi speed was ok however the signal is very weak.||although a map program will show that there are restaurants with in walking distance, in the winter it is not practical. if you have arranged a car and driver then it is feasible other wise the hotel restaurant and room service are adequate and of good value. as other guests have stated buffet breakfast can have more variety ( there is live egg section)

I stayed there for two days in the last week of November. The rooms are good and well maintained; you get a seat out in front of every room on the common corridor that encircles the interior courtyards of the hotel. Staff were helping. Food served were good. For those who are interested in architecture and construction, I feel the elevation quite unique. It has a huge backyard too with swimming pool and other amenities. You can have your morning walk there. The locality where the hotel is situated is very quiet and peaceful. There is a small super market and two bars nearby where one can frequent to.

This is an amazing property. Very beautiful from inside, and big. The checkin was swift and room size are decent. Its clean and tidy. People around are very polite. In twrms of food, we only had breakfast, so will be able to say only about that. The spread was big, and pretty good.|There are two flaws. The air conditioning is a little wierd where to cool the room I was asked to turn on the heater setting whereas on the instruction sticker and in general its suppose to be the air condition mode. WEIRD!!|Second, the wifi speed is terrible. Would suggest to rather have a better data pack.||Ovwrall a very nice hotel, will definitely stay again if visiting Gabala.

The room carpet is dirty. The phone in the room is not working and you can not call reception, no room to room or outside calls. It is only for a decor. Moreover, the bathroom exhaust fan-are not working and all smiles stay in the room. ||The bed sheets and cover are small and do not cover both of us. However, they have good heater in the cold weather. The corridor in the room between outside and bed only allow one person due to small size rooms. ||The room is not worth the cost requested. ||The reception is friendly and hopeful and breakfast is good. Also, the location is great. ||If you will chose the hotel please check the room before you check in.

At start it was fine and then we realised our room phone was broken and the hotel was informed since the very next day from our arrival and until check out day it was not fixed. This translates into the need to go down every time for a room service or housekeeping matter. Moreover, the staff of room service wasn't friendly when we approached them for an order!!!

I liked this hotel very much. Friendly and helpful staff and the room was very clean and nicely decorated. It reminded me of an Arabian fairytale. Most guest are from the Arabian region as well. Hardly any women use the spa facilities in the basement but I did and it was very nice. The breakfast buffet offers many options so there is always something that you will like. We went straight to the desk without online booking before and paid 80 euros per night. With is not a lot for a five star hotel.
