I am writing to express my profound dissatisfaction and file a formal complaint regarding the unprofessional and frankly appalling service provided by one of your check-in personnel, Damian, during our recent travel experience. As loyal members who travel frequently with Qatar Airways, we were deeply disappointed by the treatment we received. Damian's conduct was not only unhelpful but was also characterized by an absurd level of rudeness and an overall demeanor that suggested a complete lack of care or concern for our situation. When attempting to check in, we were informed by Damian that we would have to pay a flat fee of $250 for extra luggage. His communication was minimal, delivered with a flat, unsympathetic expression, and devoid of any helpful context or explanation. Most critically, he offered no alternative solutions or options, seemingly indifferent to our frustration and the significant charge. It was only later, when observing the interaction with other check-in clerks, that we became aware of more reasonable and beneficial options. Specifically, other staff members professionally provided and explained an alternative policy that would have resulted in a charge of only $75 for the extra weight. This discrepancy highlights a serious failure in service by Damian. Not only did he fail to uphold the company's commitment to customer service, but he actively neglected to inform us of our right to choose the most advantageous option available. Carelessness in explaining company policy to allow customers to understand their rights and obligations is simply unacceptable, especially from a representative of a premium airline. This kind of indifferent and dismissive treatment is a direct contradiction to the high standards and excellent reputation that Qatar Airways strives to maintain. Damian's behavior only served to cause unnecessary frustration and created a significantly negative impression. We urge you to take immediate action to address this issue and ensure that all your personnel are properly trained, not only in policy but in basic customer service etiquette, empathy, and providing all available options to your passengers.

Qatar Airways has admitted that they have lost one of my bags but have done nothing to find and return it. They have not provided me with a way of contacting them so I can follow-up. I would give this airline a -10 if it were possible.

It’s not me but my boyfriend wanted to thank Sir Mathias and Sir Jawsown Lawrence for helping him with his baggage/suitcase that he left. He also wanted to thank the other man but doesn’t know his name. They are from Qatar Airways Miami and they are a big help to my boyfriend whose flight is just few hours from that time. This is from Quinones.

Last week I had the pleasure of experiencing Qatar Airways' Q Suites for the first time on my flights from Washington D.C. to Doha and back. I must say, it was a remarkable journey on both legs of the trip. The cabin crew were exceptionally attentive, although I found them to be even more engaging and friendly on the flight from Doha to Washington D.C. The food served onboard was simply fantastic. I particularly enjoyed the tender and well-cooked lamb, as well as the flavorful Qatari chicken machboos. Having previously flown Emirates business class on their A380, I found the Q Suite experience to be a cut above, especially with the enclosed suite featuring a door that provided a sense of privacy unparalleled by other airlines. The option for dine-on-demand further enhanced the overall experience, a feature that Emirates did not offer. Without a doubt, I look forward to flying with Qatar Airways and experiencing the Q Suites again in the future. Highly recommended!

Broke my luggage! I've sent the refund request and provided the docs, more than 6 weeks no reply! Call center is outsourced by Indians, hard to listen and explain literally anything!

Miami Airport Ticketing Staff on November 10, 2025 - 5 PM EST My husband had to urgently fly home due to a medical emergency and I was trying not to book the flight until he gets to the aiport before the checkin time. The flight was scheduled for departure at 7:30 PM and I was standing at the ticketing counter at the Miami airport since 5 PM and repeatedly asked the person what is the latest time I can book the flight and he said you can book until check-in closes which is 6:30 pm. At 5:55 PM, the online website booking was not working and it said to go to a ticketing counter at the airport and they can issue you a ticket. I went back to him to issue me a ticket as my husband will be here by 6:15 and he kept denying me saying that the system is saying it’s too close, go try other airlines. I kept pleading and asking him to issue me a ticket until 6:20 PM as it was a medical emergency and he had to reach the destination by a certain time but the guy kept misbehaving, being absolutely ignorant and unhelpful in every possible way which is the least thing you expect out of an International Airline at the caliber of what I assume Qatar Airways would be. He kept mocking me that you want to board the flight but you don’t have a ticket issued and I kept repeating that’s what I am asking, issue me a ticket. This behavior was just out of spite and extremely racist, there were a number of seats available on the flight and I was well within the time frame of when the ticket issuing systems close, also willing to pay whatever the price was. The check-in staff kept looking at us helplessly and said they can’t do anything about this guy, who was tall, dark and bald. After I raised my voice and told him to give me his name to formally lodge a complaint, he kept denying and asking me to go away from here, hiding behind the check-in staff in the image taken below and then sneaked out the back door.

Took a flight on Oct31 from the Miami airport. My child is a special need and I requested DPNA code for weeks and Qatar customer service never told me what to do or how the process works until the a day before!! This was our first time flying with a special need child. I wanted to purchase an extra seat so that My child could sleep a bit better on a 16 hours flight to Doha. Qatar never gave us the seat and When I was told to mention this at the Miami airport, Qatar staff didn’t even heard or acted like they had no idea what I was talking about and spoke very heavy broken English. Seats were not comfortable Flight felt overly crowded Food was horrible. It was so little that a cat couldn’t eat. They offered 3 types of chips and KitKat for snacks. They had those chicken wrap and My child refused to eat it cause it tasted bad. Cabin crew were super nice considering so little they had to work with. We transited at the Doha airport. Took a bus and the ride took forever to our plane. Had to walk upstairs to our plane with no boarding bride. I am an American citizen and I felt like I was treated like a servant. It was 787 and I felt the plane was not maintained well or dirty. Our return flight was the same and I had to try almost 3 hours to find an extra seat for my special need child. Doha airport lounges were simply super horrible.. only 2 items to choose from and yes I tried 2 lounges and I walked out. At Dhaka airport.. I waited almost an hour and half to get our boarding pass. The excuse was no internet. I repeatedly asked them I have a special need child that needs help and they did not help us at all. This is the last time I will fly with them and I will encourage parents with special need to avoid spending huge amount of money to fly with Qatar Airways. They treat flights from Europe like royalty but set a completely different standard flights from USA or from South Asia. Not all of us are labor class people. I would give ——0000000000 but review star starts with one …

Yelp
*Need travel assistance?** Connect *at* +1 (838) 221-8331** to reach the **Qatar Airways customer care line** for **round-the-clock professional support**. Get in touch with **trained representatives** to handle **ticket reservations**, **flight alterations**, **schedule adjustments**, **refund requests**, **baggage-related issues**, or **exclusive service inquiries**. Traveling with an airline these days often brings a mix of promise and compromise. On the plus side, many carriers now offer beautifully smooth booking and check‑in experiences. Their apps and websites make seat assignments, itinerary changes, and flight status updates easy. Cabin crews often receive praise for being friendly, helpful, and proactive--especially when it comes to special meal requests or children. For frequent flyers, loyalty programs and perks such as priority boarding or free checked bags make a noticeable difference. Premium cabins typically deliver comfort, with cleaner cabins, upgraded entertainment systems, modern amenities, and attentive service that actually feels luxurious. However, that rosy picture has its coming downsides. Delays and cancellations still dominate many complaints. Passengers often say disruption notices are vague or too late. Hidden fees continue to surprise: baggage, seat selection, priority services, even water or basic snacks are sometimes extra. Customer support remains inconsistent--chatbots, long phone waits, generic email responses, or sometimes no response at all when things go wrong. Luggage mishandling (late, lost, damaged) is another persistent frustration, and refund or rebooking processes are frequently slow and confusing.

Yelp
Before the turn of the century, many people seeking to visit India had to go through European airlines like Lufthansa, KLM, British Air etc to get to India from the US. Within the last 15 plus years, many new airlines that are based in the Gulf/Middle East have arisen allowing for cheaper and more efficient flights. Qatar Airways was the second of such airlines I have flown on. (I flew on Gulf Air in the mid 2000's. Emirates and Etihad are also well known) My flight path went from Tampa to Miami, then to Doha,Qatar and ending in Bangalore, India. I flew with my mom in Economy class (coach). The second and third of my flight segments were 15.5 hours and 4.5 hours! The initial segments were handled by American Airlines then Qatar. All the Qatar planes had a large passenger capacity- Each row had between 9-10 passengers in a row! Unfortunately, there are no light/AC controls per person since the roof is quite out of reach. The planes often dim the lights for long stretches of the flight. The seats were just ok. IMO, they are not comfortable enough considering the long flight times. While I had enough leg room, the seat cushion wasnt great. Each seat has a 8-9 inch LCD touchscreen monitor in the back of each seat. These are equipped with many movies, TV shows, and simple games to keep you occupied. There are headphones with two prongs in each seat "pouch" that plug into these lcd monitors. They have many recent mainstream Hollywood movies, some Arabic ones, and some Indian ones which is nice. I watched "The Lost city", "Uncharted" and "Death on the Nile" which I believe are all less than six months old. This is a big plus since you cant read due to the low light conditions. Since these flights are greater than 2.5k miles, you are served 1-2 meals and 1-2 snacks. The meals are western or Indian and are above average compared to the ones on US flights. To be honest, I haven't had full meals on a US airline in more than 20 years. Each meal was usually an entree, a side dish, a dessert, a small water bottle, and your custom drink. You are allowed some alcoholic drinks like wine, whiskey/vodka, without surcharge. Another nice plus. I have to also praise the flight attendants. Most are very nice and efficient. Some other customers had concerns and they addressed them quickly. Many are Filipina or Middle Eastern or neighboring countries. NOTE: YOU HAVE TO WEAR A MASK THE WHOLE FLIGHT REGARDLESS OF VACCINATION STATUS! You can only take it off when eating food/drink or in the bathroom. They are sticklers about this and will not tolerate subordination lol. this includes the boarding/disembarking process. You are allowed 1 carry on, personal item (purse), and 1 50 lb / 23 kg checked bag. From what others have told me, many of these Middle Eastern airlines have very similar experiences. Go with what is cheaper for you. The only other negative is that the flight number they put is different from the American Airlines staff print out. We were looking for our flight in Miami and bewildered that it wasnt what was printed. Look on the QA boarding pass to be sure. The E23 gate is for Qatar in Miami. I recommend it overall.

Yelp
DO NOT FLY THIS AIRLINE!! THEY ARE THEIVES. I flew this airline from San Francisco to Cairo and somewhere along the way I had items stolen from my luggage. I filed a report with Qatar Airways and followed up for months and they would do nothing about it. They just don't answer. They are so unprofessional, its unbelievable. I can only imagine how they handle their aircraft maintenance!!! I believe that anyone on Yelp who gave them a 5 star rating must be a paid reviewer. There is no way that this organization could ever get 5 stars. They are unprofessional in every interaction. NEVER AGAIN.

Yelp
I finally received it. So grateful. Was a tad disappointed that luggage is not same as AA

Yelp
customer service at Miami Airport is very unprofessional, i had to carry my one year old on my hand for 5 hours in Doha airport because they book my baby stroller which was small enought to put it on overhead compartment in the plane. i beg them many times to consider this request, but they ignore my request. i been royal custer to qatar airways for 7+ years ,but now i might consider alternative to fly thought this area.

Yelp
I missed my plane connection in Doha because they landed the plane in the middle of the airfield. By the time I finally got transported to the terminal , I missed my connecting flight. I missed out on a safari and lost thousands of dollars on my flight, hotel and safari. Because the plane technically landed on time, the airline has made no attempt to help me or reimburse me For supposedly being the number one airline in the world, their behavior, their attitude and their unwillingness to reimburse my losses is unconscionable! I have talked to many of their agents and they have not been willing to help! Extremely poor customer service!!!

Yelp
Yikes! Be aware that though they allow you to pick your seats, per their policy there is zero guarantee. I bought my ticket a month to two prior to my trip, and reserved all my seats then. It was a 24 hour 2 part flight and their WiFi didn't work. You had access to free WiFi for about 20 minutes but if you lost connection (which I did in the first few minutes on all four flights) oh well that's that. My only option was to purchase WiFi. For my return flight, I reconfirmed my seat and meals the night before. I've already been flying half a day, and boarded to discover my seat was changed on me!!! I was stuck between two people on the wing!! I even showed the flight attended my confirmed seat! But somehow when they printed out my ticket THEY SWAPPED MY SEAT WITHOUT INFORMING ME AND WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!! Flight attended informed me the flight was full and there was nothing they can do. To make matters worse I was stuck next to a guy who was so ill he was passing out in his seat. They gave ME a surgical mask to wear. This was precovid and I wasn't the sick one, yet I was stuck wearing the mask. I went to take a look at my seat and found an older couple sitting in my isle seat!! I realized the couple must've gotten the seats last minute, paying a lot more for them last minute, and that is why I lost my seat. Once home, I contacted Qatar. The email I received back was basically FU even if you reserve seats there is no guarantee. See below for screen shot of a portion of what they emailed me. No compensation or even an apology was offered. Personally, I would stick to American and European flights in general. Never flying Qatar again.
