Our group of eleven persons booked the entire Qayaam Gah Resort for four nights in March 2025. Each large villa provided spectacular views of Lake Dal framed by the majestic Himalayan foothills in the background. The comfortable beds, massive bathroom with soaking tubs and a monsoon shower, the well stocked in-room pantry with delicious home-made cookies, a wide selection of teas, and other drinks were there to tempt you at any hour. The chef prepared a wide range of cuisine from Kashmiri to Indian to western choices, even catering to those requesting non-gluten breads.|The entire place was landscaped like a Mughal garden, attracting striking birds such as the yellow billed blue magpie. My friend and I had a truly memorable stay at Qayam Gah. Kashmir has seen a dip in tourism since April 2025. But that has not deterred the hospitality and kindness of those welcoming guests. Qayam Gah offers a wide array of Kashmiri food which was very well cooked and beautifully served. Qayam's team was very warm and ensured our comfort and convenience in the best possible way. We would recommend Qayam to anyone looking to be away from the city bustle. Qayam provides an experience of Kashmir that is curated thoughtfully.

Our stay at Qayaam Gah was nothing short of pure bliss, a sanctuary where the busy world comes to rest in absolute serenity. It truly stands among the finest experiences we’ve had at any hotel or resort across the globe. From the moment we were warmly greeted at the airport by the ever smiling Altaf, to the gracious welcome from Mr. Manzoor and Bashir at reception, every step of our stay reflected genuine hospitality and heartfelt care. As we strolled through the property, the tranquility of Qayaam Gah unfolded beautifully, complemented by the kindness and warmth of the wonderful team Sameena, Mehak, Sohail, Tahir, Bilal, and Asim together with others whos names we didnt catch. Our experience only grew richer during our excursions into town with Altaf, Ijaz, and our guide Mr. Abdul, whose deep knowledge and pride in showcasing the real Srinagar made our trip unforgettable. At a time when tourism in Kashmir faces challenges due to recent events, the entire team at Qayaam Gah ensured we felt completely safe, comfortable, and at home making our holiday for my dads 70th birthday truly magical. A heartfelt thanks also to Rameez and Gulzhar, who went above and beyond to help us pack and ship some delicate wooden carvings, a thoughtful gesture you’d rarely find even at large luxury chains. The live Sufi performance was an unforgettable highlight. A soul stirring experience as the powerful voices echoed through the valley, adding an ethereal touch to our stay. The attention to detail, culinary excellence, and seamless service from the entire team, including the Chef and back of house staff, were impeccable. A special mention to Mr. Altaf Chapri and the entire Chapri Family, the visionary owners, whose commitment to uplifting local communities and preserving the spirit of Kashmiriyat shines through in everything Qayaam Gah and Sukoon represent. His leadership and the team’s passion are what make this place truly extraordinary. For anyone considering a trip to Kashmir, think no further. Qayyam Gah lived upto expectations and how! The standards of hospitality set by the staff here will be a hard act to follow. While the resort itself is splendid, it’s the little details like the Sufi music, the innumerable cups of Kahwa, the beautifully plated food - that made our holiday in Kashmir memorable.

An absolutely magical honeymoon experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and cared for. The special honeymoon arrangements, peaceful surroundings, and beautifully designed rooms created the perfect atmosphere for a romantic getaway. The food was exceptional, blending local flavors with a touch of gourmet elegance. Every detail — from the décor to the service — reflected genuine thoughtfulness. The serene views and quiet charm of the property made it feel like a private paradise. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a luxurious and intimate escape in nature’s lap. Truly unforgettable!

The resort itself is incredibly cozy and spotlessly clean, and the view is absolutely breathtaking. We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights as a family of six — 3 adults, 2 elderly, and 1 child. What stood out the most to us was the exceptional service and hospitality. I would give them countless stars for how well they treated us. My elderly father-in-law has difficulty walking, but the staff went above and beyond, assisting with his wheelchair at all times — day or night — even when it was raining. They also gently guided my mother-in-law by hand whenever needed. Their kindness and dedication were truly heartwarming. It’s worth noting that due to the resort’s elevated location, there were occasional issues with Wi-Fi and electricity, but everything was resolved promptly and professionally. We also had the joy of celebrating our daughter’s 5th birthday during our stay. The staff went all out with the arrangements and provided a lovely birthday cake. We cut the cake at sunset, surrounded by a stunning view — it was an unforgettable moment. There even heated pool overseeing the luxurious view for relaxation. The food here was the best we’ve had in Srinagar. Everything was freshly prepared with aromatic spices, homegrown fruits, and delicious walnuts from their own garden. You simply won’t find this level of personal care and hospitality in any other hotel. Even the car arranged for our tour was extremely comfortable, and the driver was both friendly and knowledgeable. We will definitely return — not just for the beauty of the resort itself, but for the warmth and genuine care we received. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for peace, comfort, and a spectacular mountain view. Just imagine sipping a warm cup of tea with the misty hills in front of you — it’s pure Truly, this is a six star experience in Srinagar. Nestled in the mountains of Srinagar, this getaway is simply bliss! A heated outdoor pool, live Sufi music at every sunset with high-tea, Kashmiri food (and almost every other cuisine) at its best; this little escape is exactly what everyone in this world needs to reset. ||The service was incredible, with servers magically appearing at just the right moment and otherwise, giving us our space. This luxury resort with just 7 rooms, is truly one of a kind. I highly recommend it!
