Staff is nice and helpful. Tea and coffee free. Breakfast good. Room without window. TV produces expressionistic pictures. Located in a business area, not so nice but close to the RAI halls... requested invoice 2 times, no reply at all Meanwhile rcvd the invoice, thanks

Do *not* stay here. There is construction work in the building after 7pm. We could not hear the TV even at full volume, due to the drilling. The security staff think WTC "House Rules" supersedes Gemeente Amsterdam law (construction noise allowed between 7am and 7pm unless there is an exemption). They refused to show an exemption and only showed the "House Rules". The hotel staff member herself was great but could do nothing. I repeat that you should *not* stay here. The hotel and the security do not care about customers. Responding to the hotel's response: all they did to address the problem was give a refund and I had to rebook a hotel (dragging my 9 year old daughter out of bed to go to a new place). Their manager was able to do nothing about the noise and the security were unapologetic about the noise and thought it was fine for it to continue until 10pm and showed the WTC "house rules" as proof they could continue to make noise. The response from the hotel is clearly just trying to put spin the situation and nothing has or will change. It's not even an apology.

My recent stay at the Qbic Hotel in Amsterdam was mixed, characterized by exceptionally friendly staff but significantly below-par room quality and cleanliness.||The Only Real Positive: The Staff||If there is one area where this hotel truly shines, it is its personnel. Every member of staff I interacted with was very friendly and welcoming, which made the check-in and common area interactions pleasant. They are a real asset to the hotel.||Design and Atmosphere||The physical appearance of the hotel is generally underwhelming. While the lobby is adequate, the rest of the hotel—particularly the corridors—is functional but fails to offer any sense of welcome or warmth.||The Room: Major Issues with Cleanliness and Maintenance||The most important part of any hotel is the room, and unfortunately, this is where the Qbic falls short. While the room size itself was really large, the overall quality and maintenance were below average.||Cleanliness: The room was not clean at all and is in urgent need of refurbishment. I found noticeable dirty spots on the wall in the bathroom, indicating a severe lack of decent deep cleaning. The towels were also extremely worn, thin, and uncomfortable.||Shower Design Flaw: The shower created a significant issue: the bathroom would transform into a swimming pool every time I used it. The hotel did not provide a floor towel, which made this design flaw even more frustrating.||Noise/View: My room faced the highway. While a highway view wasn't a bother, the constant sound of cars rushing by was a major problem. In the end, I required earplugs to sleep comfortably, which is not what you expect from a decent hotel stay.||Note: I did not eat breakfast at the hotel, so I cannot comment on the food service.||Overall Conclusion||The Qbic Hotel Amsterdam has wonderful staff, but the core product—the rooms—is not currently fit for purpose and desperately requires refurbishment and professional deep cleaning. Based on the condition of the room and the noise issues, I cannot recommend this hotel until significant maintenance is performed.

My experience at this hotel was very disappointing from the moment I arrived. The corridor was poorly maintained, giving an immediate bad impression. When I entered my room, I discovered a blood stain visible through the white sheets — absolutely unacceptable. I had to change rooms, which made me seriously question the cleanliness and hygiene standards of the hotel.||||The breakfast service was also below expectations and reflected the overall poor quality of the establishment. We were two guests, both very unsatisfied. I will not return to this hotel and will make sure my colleagues and employees avoid it as well. I cannot recommend this place, even for one night.

This is not the type of place I would normally stay at, but it worked out really well. I was going to spend the weekend in Bruges and it was going to cost more money than I should spend on the hotel so I needed to save some money. This was just the place. It's right on the metro into the Centrum. There are some dining options nearby. The system is simple. It's fully automated. The rooms are prefab setups. I'm not sold on all the colored light system -- especially in the room, but that's a minor nit. The bigger one is the lack of a comfortable chair to relax in. However, the bed is comfortable. If I were needing a budget place to stay Qbic would be on my short list of places to look at. One issue that's very European and not American is the openness of the bathroom. I only mention it because I know people who would consider it a big thing. There are pictures for the hotel that show this.

This budget trendy hotel is in the south of Amsterdam. It's located within an office building and the bed and the bathroom are these creative modular structures. Very smart and efficient, but with the added cool factor of customizable colored lighting. The bathroom has no door so if you're sharing the room with someone, they can see everything! If you're sharing this room, it better be with someone you are intimate with. As a place for a bed, it's a great value. It's a little far from the center of Amsterdam, but it's right by the tram station. It'll take 10 minutes to get to the northern area of Amsterdam. There's really not much around the hotel since it's in the business district so there isn't really much of a night life. Some minor issues I had were that you can't control the air temperature in the room. It's apparently controlled by a centralized system. So my room was especially cold. Also, my room was near a steel staircase, so I could hear employees in the morning walking. It was fairly loud. Lastly, there is no restaurant so you can only get a typical European cold breakfast.

After searching and deliberating over which hotel in Amsterdam to crash at, I came across the Qbic. Picked it cause it was pretty cheap and the web pictures had pretty cool looking rooms. Before you even bother reading the rest of this. Qbic is a hotel to sleep, shower and check ya email at. know this. I'd best describe Qbic as a trendy, no frills, In & Out kina place. There's absolutely nothing to do in the hotel, but it's very Clean and the rooms are very Cool. So Qbic is in a real quiet, low-key area about a 15 minute tram ride to Leidseplein (city center); It's considered Amsterdam South or in World Trade Center area. If you want to be in the middle of the action/parties/tourist central this is not the place to book. Can't stress enough how quiet and low key it is. This might work for you, it may not. But knowing is half the battle. What's good is that the tram is located right down the block from the hotel and the train is right there on the opposite side. A real easy and accessible location by day, but like fellow Yelper FJ v. mentioned, you may have to take a cab after 12am. (15 Euros from the City Center) The different staff persons I came across at the front desk (if you could even really consider it a front desk) were all laid back and helpful. One dude went out his way to help me a find a European adapter that would be compatible for my laptop charger. No luck finding one but the effort was much appreciated. The hotel offers free Wi-Fi, which is really easy to connect to. There's a continental breakfast from 6-11am where fresh pastries, cereal, yogurt and sandwich meats are offered. Descent stuff. Yeah, the cool looking rooms. So you got this space shippy looking room in all white with no windows and funky glowing neon lights that change color. You can adjust the lights to strobe and all these other crazy settings. The bed & bathroom are two attached cubes. Yeah, two attached cubes. The bed is a queen-size comfy mattress located in an open cube. There's a small flat screen television attached to the one of the bedpost and there are like a gazillion outlets (European) available around the room to plug your gadgets into. The headboard to the bed is the wall that separates the bathroom from the bed area. Sounds kina weird and gross but it works. On the other side of the wall is a small but clean, sleek, modern looking bathroom. No door to the bathroom side of the cube and a see thru shower inside. I was solo so it wasn't an issue, but if you're with a friend it should probably be someone your comfortable with. I really have no complaints. Qbic is a cool place to rest ya head at if you wana be close to the action but not on top of it. I'd stay there again for sure.

Cheap. Far far nicer than city-center rooms for the same price. I actually like not having windows, I sleep better. Insanely quick connection from airport. Fantastic connection to south and central Amsterdam in 20 minutes with Tram line 5. Not so good for coming back after midnight, but it's like €15 from the center with a taxi. Stay alone, 2 people per room only works if you are seriously intimate. Check the gym Clibsportiv (http://www.yelp.nl/biz/clubsportive-mahler-zuidas-amsterdam) on the other side of the Amsterdam WTC station for one of the cheapest day-passes to a wonderful gym in the city to wake you up after your night.

One of the most pleasant hotel stays in my life. Easily accessibly by the excellent public transport services in Amsterdam, this hotel has funky rooms which have a massive bed integrated into a workstation with chairs and a bathroom - all open plan. There's also a massive TV built into the bed. The lighting is bright and colourful and there's plenty of room for all your gear. Free WIFI, snacks downstairs with optional breakfast and TV's with a networked computer to look up Google maps etc. Everything we were needing for our trip. Hassle-free from the moment we went to drop our bags off, only to learn they were cool with us checking in early. Recommended.

For what we paid and what we expected we really enjoyed our stay. the major plus points are the location next to the metro and tram lines with a mini supermarket 2 mins walk away. The rooms for nice and different, the color lights were cool and when they became annoying we just switched them off! the toilet is a negative, with no doors etc, but you know this before you arrive, and if you need a number 2 you can always go to the very nice public toilets on each floor. wouldnt go with kids, or anyone you dont mind peeing with! Anyone who writes negatiive things about this place, about the lights and rooms knew it all before they went and shouldnt really have gone! thumbs up.

We got a good price for the hotel as most of the hotels in Amsterdam are either way too creepy or way too expensive. But still there are also a few things to mention: - Unfortunately you can't change the lights yourself like it is said on the website which makes it less nice. - We had a dirty chair standing in the room (obviously spread with human's fluids...) which was taken away after we mentioned it - though we never got a replacement throiughout the whole two days. - There was no way to charge devices with an USB and also nothing to play some music with what I expect from a modern hotel. - The shower (of which the rain shower was only dripping) wet the whole bathroom which we had to clean up with our towels to go to the toilet without wet feet. - There was no door to seperate the bathroom from the rest of the room, so only for very close couples or singles - The old TV with partly very bad channel reception - Very cheap soap which was not only meant for the hands but also for showering (at least it looked, felt and smelt exactly the same) - Bad air conditioning/heating: too hot during the night, didn't feel like any fresh air But there are also a few good things to mention: + very nice service people + near to train, metro, tram and bus + small room rates but most of all... + free WIFI and the free use Macs in the entrance area + THE AMAZING huge BED with an even more amazing matrace (could have slept there the whole weekend without stainding up). The dark atmosphere without any windows is interesting but also very strange I wouldn't recommend to stay more than two nights. Okay for the price but I think, I'll try out Citizen M the next time which was a bit more expensive when I booked...

Multiple Booking is very difficult (charged me extra for phone reservation). Bathrooms with no closed door is shocking. Room only suitable for one person & not for family. Location is very good. Lighting not good (pink, red lights)

Great value for money. My partner and I didn't mind that it was totally open. Or no door on the bathroom. Close to the where it all happens 9 tram stops run up until midnight. Recommend for all those on a budget and don't want to stay at a hostel. Plus there is English speaking tv

(DECEIVING) is the description for this hotel. Everything about it is deceiving e.g. their photos in the internet are attractive but rooms are bad, they do not have (Non-smoking) signs in the room to make you smoke so that they charge you 100 Euros, room service knocks on the door one time very early in the morning in the hope you will say: (Later) and they NEVER come back again claiming that I lost the chance. Even if they clean the room they do not change the bed sheets, the rooms are cold during night and they refuse to adjust the temperature for the guest, their payment is completely NON refundable even after you complain about all these bad services, The rooms appear clean but dirt and filth is accumulating in all the unseen areas, room furniture are very uncomfortable, windows cannot be opened, if a guest did not book a breakfast the previous day, he will not be allowed to eat breakfast, the hotel is away from shops, restaurants. It was a horrible experience.
