QC Coffee and Pancake House

QC must also mean Quality Control cause the food here was delectable. Waking up in the Quad Cities with no game plan and an empty stomach is what lead us to this fine destination. I was tasked with finding a place close to our hotel and this one sounded like what both Emily and I were craving. We got there a bit before 9am and were greeted with a 30-40 minute wait time. Since there probably would’ve been a wait time anywhere else, we gave them our name, number and headed back to the car to chill. Not even 15 minutes later, we got the call to come in and have some breakfast. Since we had time to kill in the car, we planned out our orders before we went back in so we were able to order right away. Emily got the Western Skillet and I got the Western Omelet. For how busy it was, the food took no more than 10 minutes to come out and it was a lot more than I was expecting. For an omelet, this thing must’ve had like 12 eggs in it. Same for Emily’s skillet, it was served in a bit pan and it was filled with so much food. One of the reasons we picked this place is because they are known for their cinnamon roll pancakes. Emily got some for her side and I cautioned her that since its a side pancake, it might be normal ones. Turns out, it was the normal ones but good god, the one bit I had of them was heavenly. Turns out, the whole meal was mostly divine. The omelet could’ve had a bit more flavor to it but a little bit of salt and pepper helped bring it to life. Emily really liked her food but found the ham in her skillet to be a bit too bland for her taste. The food here was super good and a great value for what you paid. On top of that, the entire staff was super friendly and professional and handled the breakfast crowd like veterans in spite of the young ages of the staff. As we drove around the Quad Cities the day before, I pointed out the million different pancake houses to Emily, so, its funny and fitting that we ended up going to one for breakfast the next day… and what a good one we selected. They must really like their pancakes up there. I might have to add a few of them to my list of places to check out next time we are up here.

My wife and I love having breakfast/lunch here. I have not had one meal here that was bad. I took a picture of our meal a little late. To say we enjoyed the Belgium waffle and pancakes with omelets is an understatement! The waitresses are so nice and food is very quick no matter how many people are there. My wife can't do sugar and we asked if they had sugar free syrup. Yes they do and it was very good. We had to ask what it was and they brought out the bottle for us to know what it is. I have included that picture. Next time I will think of getting a picture of our food before we devour it, but it is so good. Update Saturday, October 11th, 2025 Ok back for the 3rd time. We ate here last week with our son and once again at the midpoint of eating, we said pictures. So, we thought this weekend we would go again, because we needed to take pictures. They were closing at 1 p.m., but we waited 15 minutes and we got a booth. We have started to name our booth it is so good. Anyway, I had the chicken sandwich with fries and my wife once again had the Denver Omelet with hashbrown and 2 pancakes. With out our son the inhaler, she had to take half home for breakfast the next day. My chicken sandwich had bacon, cheese and a special sauce with just a little kick. I will say it was the best chicken sandwich I have ever had. I have eaten a fried chicken sandwich for as long as I can remember and this by far was the perfect one. Great pickles and all. The wife needs to branch out, but she is an omelet and pancake lover. The service was great again and we just love all the noise of people being happy and having a great meal with wonderful food.

Legitimately some of the best food I have ever had in my life, and I have had my fair share. Every bite was an experience of it's own, I found myself getting absolutely lost in the sauce - that is to say, the raspberry compote that came with my waffle was heavenly. I live over 5 hours away and will absolutely be driving back just to eat here. It's a great place for a date, a casual meal, a life-changing culinary experience, and a meal-long ascension to Nirvana. My only complaint is that I didn't have room for more.

Koffee Break Skillet is our go to order. Their food is always delicious, staff is always friendly, and the drinks are refreshing. My favorite breakfast and brunch place!

It's probably the best sausage gravy I've ever had. Their cinnamon pancakes are also a highlight. The servings are generous and reasonably priced. The staff was attentive and my coffee cup was never empty.

Had a great breakfast with a friend there this morning. Great food and customer service with a lovely welcoming decor. The place is super clean and organized. Lots of smiles.

Today, I tried QC Coffee and Pancake House. The Denver omelette was delicious and they make one mean cup of coffee. Thank you for a wonderful experience and thank you Sophie for great service! I will certainly be back!

Went with family and friends and food was good, but I don’t understand why the cinnamon pancakes aren’t on the menu. The outside says “home of the cinnamon pancakes” and there are images of them on every window.. but not a single mention of the pancakes on the menu at all. Not even under the pancake flavors. Would have liked a little more cinnamon sugar flavor on the pancakes but I did appreciate how they were not over powering sweet with the frosting! For being called a coffee house as well, would have liked more options besides hot and black coffee. Bacon was nice and crisp and eggs were cooked well. Very generous portions.

This place looks old fashion but it looks updated inside. The staff is super nice and very helpful. This place gets busy during the weekends so I try to go during the weekdays. The service was fast and the food was good. My husband loved the pancakes. The cinnamon roll was fresh and warm. I would totally go back. Also.. they make sure your drinks are filled so that was really nice.

Welp, this is to shout out the QC Pancake House even though we ordered and had great crispy Belgian Waffles. The Greek omelet was on point and filling also. Helena was a great attendance person and representative for a first time intro and warm welcome. Check them out if ever in the area. I'm sure it'll become a spot to repeatedly hit up.

For a diner in the middle of Rock Island, I'll give them their stars. Upon walking in you can tell people love the food. The portions are large from walking past other plates and the prices match that of the food items. Our server was quick with our orders and did a decent job attending to us. I ordered the panini from the Tasty Egg Portion of the menu. I really liked that they used rye bread. You can taste it as the bread wasn't burnt. I requested a chicken Patti instead of the pork options and I felt that added to the flavor of the sandwich. My one small critique would be to add a syrup or jelly (like an onion jam) to really elevate the sandwich. Otherwise, it was good!

How have I not been here before? This place is amazing! Great service, amazing choices on the menu, and tasty dishes. I am sort of a connoisseur of biscuits and gravy. So, if I see them on the menu, I have to order them. Take my word, these are probably some of the best that I have ever enjoyed. So tasty! Each bite was spectacular!

Whenever I go to a diner, my go-to meal for breakfast is steak, eggs, and hash browns. Unfortunately, that was not sold here, so I opted for the next best thing a Philly cheesesteak omelet. Our waitress was delightful and pleasant. She was honest with us about certain items on the menu, along with getting our order correct. The food was decent. It lacked seasoning, leaving it bland. Nothing a little S&P couldn't help, but personally, I would only return for the blueberry muffin. They're huge, soft, moist, and packed with fresh blueberries. It was so delicious I returned the next day for two more to take back to Texas with me. Shay's pick

This place is what breakfast should be. Great food, everything super well executed. Reasonable prices and good portions. Panini sammich had rye bread with no substitutions which initially i thought was strange, (normally more of a sourdough sort of person) but the rye delivered. Really great sandwich. Also had cinnamon roll pancakes, woah baby those were good. If you're in the quad cities this is a great place to check out.

First of all: service was amazing! I came with my family, and we felt very taken care of! My blueberry pancakes were so good, and my sister got biscuits and gravy she loved! The perfect brunch environment, and every server was so cheerful!

Came in this morning for my mom birthday! Had very good service! Our server Lisa was very good and polite, also talked about two of there specials off of their special board! If you haven't yet, go try their Carmel Apple French toast or Barbaco Skillet! Or anything on their menu is good!

This place doesn't look like much from the outside but you can never judge a book by the cover. This place has amazing service and super good food. Came here this morning around 9am and ordered the Tennessee breakfast which consisted of 1/2 pound patty with eggs and hash browns. Also a side of cinnamon roll pancakes. The pancakes were the highlight of that dish because I've never had something sooo delish. Trust me you have to try those pancakes! I also tried the farmers breakfast which was an omelette with country friend streak inside and back with cheese and gravy. It was delish as well. Trust me I'll be back here! The parking was easy and had tons of it. Be sure to give this place a try if you're around the area. You won't be disappointed, trust me.

Everything was great including the service. Much of the food from scratch. Took home desserts to the hotel. Very nice staff.

The food is consistently delicious! Delivered with flair and a warm smile. I always have a new favorite because his specials are so special, my favorite is the Mediterranean Quiche but love so many of the dishes. The owners have done a fantastic job of making everyone feel special and you will usually see someone you know. What a great place in our community!

Cost-friendly 'diner' like breakfast comfort food. The staff is sweet, the restaurant is full of old-timers and town-folk. QC Coffee and Pancake House feels homey and familiar. As a vegetarian, they have plenty of options for me!

Food is so good. Comfort food for sure. Fast service and friendly omelets were our favorite by far. Could've been cleaner than it was but they were busy and short staffed. Will be back

We decided to come back to finally try the famous cinnamon roll pancakes. Night and day difference in overall quality of food from the presentation to the taste. Maybe it just comes down to different chefs working different days. The previous time we came (on a weekend) the food was not great. Today we came on a Wednesday during the weekday and the food (presentation and taste) was delicious. We ordered the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes, Country Eggs Benedict, and Mexican omelette with side of fruit. Everything was delicious. We will continue to come back only during the weekday.

Wow!!! Wow!!! Wow!! The food is in abundand but better yet it was delicious! I've eaten there several times now and every time has been incredible! This time I went out of my comfort zone and had a Salmon bagel... wasn't expecting much actually.. I was shocked! I thought, dang, I didn't ask for Capers... or a little green... Figured I would get what I get... UNREAL salad came with it! All the works!! And a side of hash browns that came with it... BEYOND expectations!! ALSO, look at the side of "cinnamon" pancakes in my pictures... CINNAMON pancakes are HUGE there!!! NOT ON THE MENU as it's on the ENTRYWAY... so if you Miss the SECRET... u can't read their specialty on the entrance!!

There was a wait but nothing unexpected on a Sunday. We had a large group so we were able to sample quite a bit of the menu: skillets, wraps, plain pancakes and the cinnamon roll pancakes. What I really liked about the pancakes is that they are not super sweet like many breakfast places. Even the cinnamon roll icing is not too sweet. And the home made corned beef hash is STELLAR!!! A few nits: Some of the items are a bit pricey (one of the flatbreads was $22. And the coffee is just like warm, no matter how many refills. But all-in-all a great breakfast spot!

Pancakes are delightful and delicious. Ask for Olivia to guide you through the extensive menu and take her guidance. MORE than ample portions. Worth a trip to Rock Island just to visit this establishment!.

First time here with my family. There was a wait to be seated but we were a party of 8 so that was to be expected. It's a very down home type feeling and everyone was friendly. They had some specials listed on the chalk board and pies you could see in the front check in area. Portions are huge and prices are extremely fair for the amount of food you get. A lot of my family got Denver omelets (which looked amazing) the pancakes were fluffy, bacon was crispy and the sausage links were plump! The waffle looked crispy and I plan to try that if we go back before I leave to go back home to Florida

Expensive!!!! No one wants to work! But the staff they do have do a nice job! Syrup containers leak so be careful!

Large pancakes. The cinnamon roll pancakes are delicious, but I request light frosting. French toast is also good. Service is good. Restaurant is always very busy, and you may need to wait a bit for a table.

Unbelievably delicious and an amazing value. Ou waitress Maddie gave awesome service. We are in town for 6 days and may eat here every day.

Had the carnitas breakfast Wow so good. This is a special at the moment. Coffee was just ok. Service and staff were very nice a helpful.

Stopped in on Wednesday Sept. 27th ,2023 at about 9:45am after reading the reviews. I was told it would be a 5-10 minute wait and they called my cell after about waiting 5 minutes outside. When I got called I was seated at a booth and was sitting there for another 8-10 minutes watching a fly that kept landing on my table but nobody came by to bring a coffee or water so I left . I know it was busy but all it takes is to say I'll be with you in a minute ! I ended up going somewhere else north along the river ‍

Best breakfast i ever had. I had the Belgian Waffle and math breakfast and my husband had the Greek omelette with hash browns. I also had orange juice and it wasn't pulpy. It was all delicious and the servers were AMAZING.

Worth a wait! Legit egg options, great fresh fruit, flavorful bacon, and the nicest servers. We rushed over from Davenport and it was a great call.

First let's start off by saying that Rock Island, Illinois is a very nice town. We didn't explore as we were just passing through from Nebraska on our way back to Massachusetts and we're in desperate need of a gr8 breakfast. Enter QC Coffee and Pancake House! They didn't have a line out of the door but you could tell that they had a huge rush and they not only serve breakfast all day but also lunch if I read the menu correctly... points for that! Now they don't have online ordering abs my wife wasn't feeling well so I walked across to the store, got 3 takeout menus (wife, daughter and me) and we all looked over the selections and made ours. Once we made our choice, my wife called it in and they told her they'd call back when the order was ready, and they did! I went in to pick our order up and a very nice young lady went to get it for me. (Side Note - as she was handing me my order I noticed the healed cuts on her wrist. I wanted to say to you (Server) you are strong, beautiful and resilient and the world is a brighter and more beautiful place with you in it. So, please KEEP SHINING YOUR LIGHT!!) Now, my daughter had French toast and bacon which she loved, doesn't take much to please her. Amanda is Plant based so she had potatoes and fruit... smh ‍! While I had their signature Cinnamon bun pancakes, potatoes and ham... I made the mistake of getting the full order instead of a 1/2 order.... The FULL order is HUGE and as much as it pained me not to, I couldn't eat it all. If we're ever in Rock Island again, we'll stay for more than a day and experience all the town has to offer and QC Coffee and Pancakes will definitely be our daily breakfast spot!!

When we first stopped by there was a long line. I felt like I was at the New Jersey shore. We went back to our hotel to pack. We thought we would find another place once we got on the road but decided we would try again. The line was shorter. It was a good choice. Excellent food and our server was outstanding.

I'm glad that I'd tried this restaurant, it's become a favorite of my family's places to dine while in town. Don't forget to try their cinnamon roll pancakes!

good food, but I have known several of the waitstaff in my time living in the QC and many of them quit from harassment. If they are lucky enough to avoid such a thing, they usually don't mind the work space. Very disappointed in the lack of management and employee (or owner?!) oversight.

I don't think I've ever had a better breakfast in my life. Even though they were very busy ( and I mean BUSY, there were even groups of people waiting outside waiting ), my food was made and ready for me to pick up in a timely manner. 10/10 would recommend!

This place was great. Huge portions, amazing plating and delicious food. I had the eggs and chorizo that came with tortillas and hash browns. It had great flavor. My friend had the cinnamon roll French toast which was delicious beyond explanation. Dusted with cinnamon and with plenty of gooey cinnamon flavor in it and cream cheese. My other friend had a Greek frittata that also was amazing. While we were there we saw someone get the daily special which was salmon on an everything bagel surrounded by other stuff. It was amazing to behold. Update: I came back for the country fried steak. Also amazing.

Great food and diverse menu. Quick and polite service. Small items may be forgotten and new silverware out of the package was not washed prior to being wrapped. Overall, fantastic food and great service.

This restaurant is a gem. We went for breakfast and they have the best biscuits and gravy I have ever had. The cinnamon roll pancakes are unbelievable. Not sure why they aren't on the menu, the locals just know! The skillets are amazing. There will be leftovers the portions are generous !!

Delicious. Giant portions, so be prepared to roll out of there, and lots of "bressert" dishes in addition to traditional breakfast foods. Mimosas and beer available for breakfast. Gets crowded, so be prepared to wait on a weekend.

Best place to get an excellent breakfast. I never been there and been unhappy. Meals are incredible with beautiful presentation. Atmosphere great, decor interesting and Waitresses and Owners are always pleasant. I give a thumbs up. My hubby always asked for the Farmers Almanac ( joke between waitress, Sarah and Jose), he said it was the best.

Wonderful experience. After driving 12 hours from denver we were starving. Came here because of reviews. Tons of good food for such a low price. Cinnamon pancakes were wonderful. Leftovers made two additional meals. Great service.
