5 breathtaking places to view cherry blossoms in Taiwan - SilverKris

"A pastoral highland farm often likened to the Alps for its sheep-dotted meadows and Tudor-style cottages, it becomes particularly romantic by late February when bright-pink cherry blossoms blanket the landscape. Highlights include pastoral scenes with white sheep, homestay cottages, the Small Swiss Garden, and a 500-metre Sakura Trail that leads up to the Equestrian Show Stage for some of the best views." - Dana Ter

Qingjing Farm is a popular touristy destination known for its cool mountain air, wide-open grasslands, and friendly roaming sheep. It’s an easy and relaxing escape from the city, offering great views and plenty of photo spots. While it can get crowded during holiday seasons, the overall experience feels refreshing and scenic—perfect for a laid-back half-day visit.

I don't know about the room but the farm as it describes it has an amazing view. It is located pass 300m above sea level and we were advise to wear jacket because it is cold up there and it was indeed cold. The views are spectaculat. Feed the sheep, they are friendly. The landscape is beautiful. You can buy food from some of the makeshift stores because the travel time from taichung is about 3 to 4 hours i think.

Beautiful park if it was not for the cloudy and rainy day along with cold weather, there are sheep and horse shows every day. I recommend going to see the beautiful views of the hills of Taiwan.

I’m glad I came here in mid-February, I got to see the cherry blossoms. It was breezy, cool, and sunny, a perfect day on the hillside. You can feed the sheep with dry grass, which you can buy from a vending machine! (Be mindful though, they might headbutt you for food and get a bit pushy if you’re holding that tempting treat so you need to hide it). There’s also a simple yet charming horse show to watch. I truly enjoyed my visit.

As someone who’s 100% a city girl, I have to admit this wasn’t quite my scene. If you’re not used to farm smells or the possibility of stepping in fresh goat poop, I’d suggest just enjoying a stroll around the Skyline instead! The goats themselves were surprisingly calm—but I personally couldn’t handle them walking and… doing their business at the same time. Let’s just say, it was a bit too authentic for me. One highlight for me was the friendly ticket counter staff—she spoke fluent American English, which made communication really easy and pleasant. That was a small but much appreciated touch! There’s also a cute little store inside, though I do wish someone had told us earlier that our tickets could be used to redeem drinks. We only found out after leaving the farm—what a miss! The cool mountain air was lovely, and my boyfriend clearly had a great time. As for me… I wore my best “I’m enjoying this” face while silently wishing for fresher air.

Despite the rain throughout the day, our trip to Sun Moon Lake and Cingjing Farm in Taiwan was truly memorable. The scenery was still breathtaking, and the cool mist added a unique charm to the experience. A special thank you to our driver, whose attentiveness and dedication made all the difference. He navigated safely, kept us comfortable, and remained cheerful and professional the entire time. His care and commitment really stood out and made us feel well looked after. It was a great day overall, and I'm grateful for such a smooth and enjoyable journey

Google
Amusing. It's nice that it's very free roam, no staff around, just you do whatever you want, walk around randomly, buy from vending machines etc. Kinda rustic. But also a pretty mountainside. But also a very steep place and tiring place to walk around. You cannot bring a stroller. So I was carrying my toddler, oof. The food at the food court area is actually pretty decent. I recommend it. Don't have to eat burgers or 7-11 really.

The farm itself is quite boring, only goats. Not big. Horses riding show is much more interesting

Yelp
ADORABLE SHEEP and so gentle! I can feed them all day. It's so much fun and very therapeutic. A very large area so prepare to walk a lot. There are horse and sheep shows I'd the weather allows. There's a skywalk that's extremely long. There are other stairs and trails to walk. Staff are very helpful and friendly. There's lots of vending machines to buy the hay or pellets to feed the sheep. Some machines are out of order at the moment but there are a few that works. There's 2 souvenir shops inside the farm (one by the castle and one by the sheep show deck), and there's another one at the entrance/exit. There are some lights and a few stalls closer to the windmill in the evenings. The sheep are allowed to freely walk anywhere so sometimes you will have to look for them. There's parking right outside but extra parking is across the street, and a staircase in the tunnel to safely get to the farm entrance without crossing the street. There's a few different restrooms around the area too. Definitely going back as soon as I can and highly recommend to check it out!

Yelp
This is one of those places you go once and that's enough. Recently my relatives and I stopped by on a Sunday because of traffic. It was rainy. I went last year with my relatives and a friend, so I didn't care about checking it out again. The place was nicely kept, just walk around and see some sheep. Ticket prices are alright. If you have a student ID, use it to get a discount. The ladies restrooms located by the entrance are REALLY gross. So I suggest going to restrooms before heading to this location. Toilet papers are not provided. Also it's recommended to go on a weekday because weekends are full of tourists. The traffic was INSANE and unbelievably slow. I think you can feed the sheep, there's little coin vending machines where you can put a coin and it gives you some food to feed the animals.

Yelp
Cingjing Farm is located in the mountainous regions of Central Taiwan. There's several sections such as the Swiss Garden and the Green Green Grasslands, but the main part of the farm consists of the sheep shearing showcase area. The whole environment screams European, especially the area around the Alps. The scenery is very mountainous, with lots of fields and paradise for tourists to walk around. From what I was told, a lot of Asian movies and shows have scenes from this exact farm, which is why it's such a major tourist attraction. I personally don't like how the different attractions are spread out thin. The grasslands and the swiss garden, while both part of Cingjing Farm, are several kilometres apart. Considering how mountainous and windy the area is, you're definitely better off joining a tour or taking the bus here. While the sheep shearing show is one of the highlights of this farm, the entire show is in mandarin. As someone who doesn't speak mandarin, it was hard for me to understand what was going on, but eventually I got the gist of it. It's also kid-focused, and personally I didn't feel it was anything exciting at all. If you're into nature, especially the European feel of nature, Cingjing Farm is definitely a place to visit. Otherwise I'd skip this attraction, especially if you're not willing to drive thru mountainous roads to get up here.
