5 breathtaking places to view cherry blossoms in Taiwan - SilverKris

"A pastoral highland farm often likened to the Alps for its sheep-dotted meadows and Tudor-style cottages, it becomes particularly romantic by late February when bright-pink cherry blossoms blanket the landscape. Highlights include pastoral scenes with white sheep, homestay cottages, the Small Swiss Garden, and a 500-metre Sakura Trail that leads up to the Equestrian Show Stage for some of the best views." - Dana Ter

Cingjing Farm is absolutely worth the visit! 💚 The entrance ticket is affordable, and it even comes with a NTD 60 discount voucher that you can use to buy souvenirs inside the farm. The scenery is beautiful, the air is fresh, and the place feels very relaxing—almost like a European countryside vibe in the mountains. 🏔️🐑 The facilities are well-maintained and easy to walk around, making it suitable for families, couples, and solo travelers. If you’re looking for a scenic, relaxing, and budget-friendly destination in Taiwan, Cingjing Farm is highly recommended! 🌿✨

Qingjing Farm is a popular touristy destination known for its cool mountain air, wide-open grasslands, and friendly roaming sheep. It’s an easy and relaxing escape from the city, offering great views and plenty of photo spots. While it can get crowded during holiday seasons, the overall experience feels refreshing and scenic—perfect for a laid-back half-day visit.

I don't know about the room but the farm as it describes it has an amazing view. It is located pass 300m above sea level and we were advise to wear jacket because it is cold up there and it was indeed cold. The views are spectaculat. Feed the sheep, they are friendly. The landscape is beautiful. You can buy food from some of the makeshift stores because the travel time from taichung is about 3 to 4 hours i think.

This is simply the most beautiful place we’ve visited in Taiwan. The 3.5 hour drive from Taipei was definitely worth it. This place is giving off that Switzerland vibes. We’re glad we have included this place in our itinerary.

It’s a sheep farm in the mountain with a great view. We drive for around 1.5 hours from Taichung to this place. Definitely you need a car to reach this place.

Came here in winter, so didn’t go to the plant garden. View was great, very picture-worthy. Sheep could free-roam around the entrance. It is worth it to go here.

The sheep are very cute and clever. However some people like to trick the sheep with food and that causes the sheep to be violent. Other than that they are normally very friendly.

Yelp
ADORABLE SHEEP and so gentle! I can feed them all day. It's so much fun and very therapeutic. A very large area so prepare to walk a lot. There are horse and sheep shows I'd the weather allows. There's a skywalk that's extremely long. There are other stairs and trails to walk. Staff are very helpful and friendly. There's lots of vending machines to buy the hay or pellets to feed the sheep. Some machines are out of order at the moment but there are a few that works. There's 2 souvenir shops inside the farm (one by the castle and one by the sheep show deck), and there's another one at the entrance/exit. There are some lights and a few stalls closer to the windmill in the evenings. The sheep are allowed to freely walk anywhere so sometimes you will have to look for them. There's parking right outside but extra parking is across the street, and a staircase in the tunnel to safely get to the farm entrance without crossing the street. There's a few different restrooms around the area too. Definitely going back as soon as I can and highly recommend to check it out!

Yelp
This is one of those places you go once and that's enough. Recently my relatives and I stopped by on a Sunday because of traffic. It was rainy. I went last year with my relatives and a friend, so I didn't care about checking it out again. The place was nicely kept, just walk around and see some sheep. Ticket prices are alright. If you have a student ID, use it to get a discount. The ladies restrooms located by the entrance are REALLY gross. So I suggest going to restrooms before heading to this location. Toilet papers are not provided. Also it's recommended to go on a weekday because weekends are full of tourists. The traffic was INSANE and unbelievably slow. I think you can feed the sheep, there's little coin vending machines where you can put a coin and it gives you some food to feed the animals.

Yelp
Cingjing Farm is located in the mountainous regions of Central Taiwan. There's several sections such as the Swiss Garden and the Green Green Grasslands, but the main part of the farm consists of the sheep shearing showcase area. The whole environment screams European, especially the area around the Alps. The scenery is very mountainous, with lots of fields and paradise for tourists to walk around. From what I was told, a lot of Asian movies and shows have scenes from this exact farm, which is why it's such a major tourist attraction. I personally don't like how the different attractions are spread out thin. The grasslands and the swiss garden, while both part of Cingjing Farm, are several kilometres apart. Considering how mountainous and windy the area is, you're definitely better off joining a tour or taking the bus here. While the sheep shearing show is one of the highlights of this farm, the entire show is in mandarin. As someone who doesn't speak mandarin, it was hard for me to understand what was going on, but eventually I got the gist of it. It's also kid-focused, and personally I didn't feel it was anything exciting at all. If you're into nature, especially the European feel of nature, Cingjing Farm is definitely a place to visit. Otherwise I'd skip this attraction, especially if you're not willing to drive thru mountainous roads to get up here.
