⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional stay at QT Hotel Auckland From start to finish, QT Hotel delivered an outstanding experience. The staff were incredibly welcoming and professional and always happy to help and made us feel right at home. Our room was fantastic: stylish, comfortable, and spotless with great attention to detail. The location is ideal and right in the heart of Auckland’s vibrant waterfront. A real highlight was dining at Esther Restaurant downstairs with phenomenal food in a beautiful setting, making our stay even more memorable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a boutique luxury experience with personality and flair. 😎👌🏻

We celebrated a family event and stayed here. Very nice rooms, very comfy beds and very quiet! Very reasonably priced overnight valet parking and excellent service from all the staff we dealt with. Despite the inclement weather rooftop bar was memorable!

Location was great, and the staff at the reception were very nice when we checked in. The room clearers are amazing, super fast and detailed. We were very very disappointed when we went to the rooftop bar. Me and my partner were ignored when we got there, made to feel very uncomfortable and that we shouldn’t be there. Then a group of young teenagers came out of the lift and was given a very warm welcome. After that experience we just wanted to go home and did not feel welcomed at all. Seeing we spend quite a lot to stay here it was disappointing.

UPDATE: QT Auckland’s “playing the field” reply (below) was cutesy yet addressed precisely none of the housekeeping, noise, or nickel-and-diming issues I raised. Evidently my positive nod to customer service was premature; dismissing guest feedback with marketing banter is not the flex they think it is. From 3 to 2-stars you go. --- Location-wise, QT Auckland is a winner: strolling distance to Viaduct’s bars and restaurants, Britomart and the CBD, and only a brisk walk (or short Uber ride) to Ponsonby Road. Inside, the rooms feel thoughtfully appointed, but a tall guest’s vantage point exposes less curated realities: a thick film of dust blanketing every light fixture and shelf, plus grimy floors in need of a deep clean. We’d booked two rooms (421 and 427) in the same category; the square-metre gulf between them suggested otherwise. No complimentary bottled water, either - a curious omission at this price point. As others have suggested, sound-proofing is all but nonexistent: corridor chatter, neighbouring phone calls, bedroom noises next door made cameo appearances each night. On the upside, both front-desk and housekeeping teams were unfailingly polite and professional. Breakfast was solid, if steep. With two guests technically included per room - and there only being one in each - being stung for an extra coffee each morning at breakfast felt penny-pinching. As for the much-lauded rooftop bar, the terrace is petite, the view mostly hemmed in by new builds, cocktails average, and service leisurely enough to test one’s patience. Overall, an adequate stay in a stellar spot, but I'll head for The Hotel Britomart the next time I’m in Auckland.

I had the best hotel experience at QT Auckland, and it all started with the incredible service from Alex at the front desk. I arrived earlier than expected, and Alex went above and beyond to have my room ready ahead of check-in. After a long trip, this small act of kindness made a huge difference. Not only was the service top-notch, but my room is absolutely stunning—stylish, comfortable, and full of thoughtful details. The overall experience has been seamless and memorable from the moment I walked in. Huge thanks to Alex for the warm welcome and exceptional hospitality. QT Auckland truly knows how to make guests feel special!

My wife and I booked the Namaste package for our anniversary. The service from start to finish, including curation of the stay prior to check-in via email to the in-room massages and food, was exceptional. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to going back to QT again. A shout out to Arvin for help pulling everything together.

The QT at Auckland has become my home away from home with multiple stays over the last month. I have to say the customer service and welcoming that I receive everytime I come is phenomenal. Arvin is an absolute asset to your establishment and always greets with a massive smile which makes being away from home a lot better. He remembers the smallest of details about you and always loves to chat especially if you’re staying alone and just want a friendly conversation or a good laugh. It’s the small details that are worth it at every stay 😊| |All staff I have come across in my stay are lovely & amazing but I really wanted give a shout out to Arvin.

Worst hotel stay ever in my life. I’ve stayed at multiple QT properties across Australia and always trusted the brand for its creativity and comfort, but my recent stay at QT Auckland on a work trip was a serious letdown and far from 5-star. Over three nights, I was moved between three rooms due to ongoing issues: the first had loud cracking noises from a timber bulkhead; the second had paper-thin walls and loud TV noise from next door; the third: a so-called “upgrade” room had a broken phone, missing amenities, and jammed blinds. I had to go downstairs in my PJs at 10:30pm to report it, and the duty manager returned with a ladder to manually close them at nearly 11pm. I spent more time packing and chasing fixes than relaxing. The worst moment? Stepping out of the shower the next morning to find a yellow stain and long "body" hair on what should’ve been a clean towel (won't post any image here as it's too gross) flagged it immediately with housekeeping already working in the hallway in the morning since the manager on duty took away the broken phone hand-set. Honestly, I’m just glad I have a habit of checking towels first, but this level of hygiene failure is completely unacceptable at any hotel, let alone one marketed as 5-star. To make matters worse, I was told on my last morning that my room “didn’t include breakfast" and now they have made it "complimentary" even though I booked a package that did and had already dined there two mornings prior. The restaurant staff walked away mid-conversation, and reception told me, “The outcome is positive, just go enjoy your breakfast.” as if that was supposed to smooth things over.I walked out without eating, felt sick after all the rude delivery. While the Front Office Manager Kim has been apologetic and did offer one night complimentary, the stay felt disorganised, exhausting, and careless. Staff lacked empathy and ownership throughout. QT Auckland has, sadly, been my worst hotel experience to date. I genuinely hope this prompts change, because the current standard is nowhere near what QT stands for.
