Excellent friendly service by Alex, received an upgrade which was awesome. Service by other staff were just as friendly and helpful. Room was spacious but a few things dropped it down a star - the lighting isn't good, very dim lighting - in the main room and bathroom. The roof top bar is awesome, great cocktails. We ate at Esther's got dinner which was so flavoursome and then again for a lovely breakfast.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Exceptional stay at QT Hotel Auckland From start to finish, QT Hotel delivered an outstanding experience. The staff were incredibly welcoming and professional and always happy to help and made us feel right at home. Our room was fantastic: stylish, comfortable, and spotless with great attention to detail. The location is ideal and right in the heart of Auckland’s vibrant waterfront. A real highlight was dining at Esther Restaurant downstairs with phenomenal food in a beautiful setting, making our stay even more memorable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a boutique luxury experience with personality and flair. 😎👌🏻

We celebrated a family event and stayed here. Very nice rooms, very comfy beds and very quiet! Very reasonably priced overnight valet parking and excellent service from all the staff we dealt with. Despite the inclement weather rooftop bar was memorable!

Location was great, and the staff at the reception were very nice when we checked in. The room clearers are amazing, super fast and detailed. We were very very disappointed when we went to the rooftop bar. Me and my partner were ignored when we got there, made to feel very uncomfortable and that we shouldn’t be there. Then a group of young teenagers came out of the lift and was given a very warm welcome. After that experience we just wanted to go home and did not feel welcomed at all. Seeing we spend quite a lot to stay here it was disappointing.

July 2025|A great weekend away the food and service were fantastic. The staff all smiled and were willing to help us and Arvyn in front desk always helped us nothing was a problem. Special mention to Katherine the restaurant supervisor for breakfast, was amazing her service and attitude to work was brilliant which made our start to the day a super one.

UPDATE: QT Auckland’s “playing the field” reply (below) was cutesy yet addressed precisely none of the housekeeping, noise, or nickel-and-diming issues I raised. Evidently my positive nod to customer service was premature; dismissing guest feedback with marketing banter is not the flex they think it is. From 3 to 2-stars you go. --- Location-wise, QT Auckland is a winner: strolling distance to Viaduct’s bars and restaurants, Britomart and the CBD, and only a brisk walk (or short Uber ride) to Ponsonby Road. Inside, the rooms feel thoughtfully appointed, but a tall guest’s vantage point exposes less curated realities: a thick film of dust blanketing every light fixture and shelf, plus grimy floors in need of a deep clean. We’d booked two rooms (421 and 427) in the same category; the square-metre gulf between them suggested otherwise. No complimentary bottled water, either - a curious omission at this price point. As others have suggested, sound-proofing is all but nonexistent: corridor chatter, neighbouring phone calls, bedroom noises next door made cameo appearances each night. On the upside, both front-desk and housekeeping teams were unfailingly polite and professional. Breakfast was solid, if steep. With two guests technically included per room - and there only being one in each - being stung for an extra coffee each morning at breakfast felt penny-pinching. As for the much-lauded rooftop bar, the terrace is petite, the view mostly hemmed in by new builds, cocktails average, and service leisurely enough to test one’s patience. Overall, an adequate stay in a stellar spot, but I'll head for The Hotel Britomart the next time I’m in Auckland.

We booked to stay at QT Auckland through a Luxury Escapes package for 3 nights with our family and parents. The check in and staff were very helpful, professional and friendly. After the second night we had encountered an issue with my children’s room with a sprinkler leaking onto their bed. They were most apologetic and changed all of our rooms swiftly. With young teenage children, our booking had indicated that were needed adjoining family’s rooms and unfortunately had not received in the first instance. However, given the issue we had with my children’s room and explaining this to the staff, they took this on board and I felt they went over and above ensuring the remainder of our stay was wonderful. We ended up with an connecting rooms in slightly larger rooms which was an upgrade, and different to what we had purchased through Luxury Escapes base room offer. The new upgraded room had a beautiful little card and some accompanying chocolates to apologise for the inconvenience signed with their names on it. Such a little personalised gesture, but so powerful.||There were three main ladies who were instrumental at the front desk, Zoie, Matilda and another tall lady who was working with these ladies today. Matilda was very professional and after hearing we were QT members, ensured that we got looked after with the additional food/drinks member discounts too. At breakfast, Cynthia, was such a lovely, pleasant lady too who really made our breakfasts even more enjoyable on the first two mornings. She was very attentive, friendly and interesting to talk to. The ladies in the ground level bar made amazing cocktails for us and were most helpful with recommending great places to eat out too. Just lovely dispositions and so welcoming in every sense.||Overall, this hotel is absolutely outstanding in so many ways. The staff, the ambience, the interiors, the cleanliness, modern appeal, rooftop bar and quality of food. The rooms are so very spacious, comfortable and had lovely bathroom quality branded products. As a general observation, the staff seem very warm, happy, they smile and work very well as a team of hospitality professionals. The kitchen staff seemed very happy and looked like prided themselves on their cuisines. As a large family group of 11, we agreed this was a wonderful hotel choice. We had once stayed at QT Gold Coast too, so chose QT again from a previous holiday, however QT Auckland.||The desserts here are 10/10 too.

Beautiful modern hotel. Spacious well appointed rooms. Great central location. The service was incredible from Greer who was looking after the front desk and went above and beyond to assist with all our needs. We felt we had excellent value for money and a great overall experience and will definitely stay again!
