This review is written by someone who was involved in opening a Boutique Hotel in London 12 years ago.|The QT is definitely a Boutique Hotel, so it’s a mistake to compare it with 5 star hotels in Perth or anywhere else in the world for that matter. Boutique Hotels are Boutique Hotels.|So how does this one fare? The internal design is outstanding. The darkness inside is in perfect contrast with the brightness outside. Rooms are well appointed, beds extremely comfortable and showers amazing. Of course, there’s not enough cupboard space, but this is a Boutique Hotel! Housekeeping is spot on.|Food & Beverage is excellent. Roof Top Bar – noisy and loud. Santini Bar - stunningly designed and peaceful. Breakfast is an unconventional joy. The Eggs Benedict is one of the best I’ve tasted for many years. Dinner in the Santini Restaurant has a varied menu with a fine wine list – check out the Tuna Tartare, it’s absolutely delicious.|We stayed just before Christmas and were disappointed that some of the public/residential areas were closed for private parties during our visit. Management must be aware that your residents must be catered for… they are your bread and butter. However, this would not prevent us from booking this hotel again on our next visit to Perth.|Finally, the “star” of this hotel is without doubt the assistant restaurant manager, Michelle. What a fine credit she is to this establishment. Providing a wonderful friendly and caring service throughout our 12 night stay. Nothing was too much trouble. |Well done everybody at QT. We’ll be back.
