QT Queenstown (Queenstown, South Island) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"As resort towns go, it’s hard to beat Queenstown, New Zealand, positioned on the shores of Lake Wakatipu, with easy access to all manner of adventures, from skiing to water sports and beyond. It’s a smallish town, but features its fair share of chic urban style — including QT Queenstown, a boutique hotel that wouldn’t look out of place in many a larger city. The rooms are not just stylish but plush as well, for maximum adventure recovery; the views of the lake and/or the mountains are invigorating, as is the cuisine at the market-style Bazaar." - Tablet Hotels

The QT Queenstown is a pretty incredible property. The views are spectacular. You feel like you are above the town seeing it all but still being able to walk to so much in 5 minutes. And it feels luxe. The design was super cool and modern. The rooms are so comfortable. A perfect stay in this beautiful part of New Zealand.

A very enjoyable stay overall, with a really lovely room, but one that just fell a little short of five stars given the price and the current state of the shared spaces. What stood out: • Room: we stayed in a Lakeview Balcony Room, one of the higher-category rooms, and it was excellent — beautifully decorated, very comfortable and absolutely worth the upgrade. The lake views from the balcony were a real highlight • Peaceful but well located: despite the central location, the room felt calm and quiet, while still being perfectly placed for exploring Queenstown • Breakfast: a strong offering with both à la carte and buffet options. On one day we were provided with a breakfast box, which was exceptional and very well stocked • QT styling: the rooms in particular are very well executed and feel polished and thoughtfully designed Where it fell short: • Common areas: the hotel was in the process of being extended during our stay, and the shared spaces felt a little underwhelming relative to the room quality and price point. They lacked some polish and atmosphere • Overall value: while the stay was very good, it didn’t quite deliver a full five-star experience at the price level Overall, a strong stay with excellent rooms and breakfast, slightly held back by the current state of the communal areas. Once the extension is complete, I expect this hotel will be outstanding. We would certainly recommend it and would happily stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at QT Queenstown. The views were absolutely incredible and the room was very comfortable, which became real highlights of our trip. There were, however, a few things that took away from an otherwise great experience. There was a bit of a communication mix-up at check-in about what was complimentary in the minibar, which led to some confusion during check-out. We also had issues with the hot water. On our second morning, there was no hot water at all and because we had an early start, we had to take cold showers. On the third morning, with another early start, it took at least ten minutes for the hot water to come through. For the price and the fact that it’s a 5-star hotel, these are details you’d expect to be smoother. Interestingly, we stayed at a less fancy hotel afterwards and didn’t have any similar issues. Overall, we still enjoyed our stay and the views are truly hard to beat.

The hotel rooms themselves are nice with Dyson hair dryer which was a nice touch that’s where it ends. 5 star hotel this is not. From only giving decaf pods for our Nespresso maker in the room to never giving us the right equipment for the frother these details were missed at ever turn. the cleaning service to start was making our bed and giving towels at best. The restaurant would have no one dining in it and they would seat us near the wall without a view. Mind you we had two rooms for our family of four and were booked for 4 nights here. The breakfast had some nice options like a juicer to make your own fresh juice but again 5 star service it is not. We could barely order a coffee. Sadly we cannot recommend this hotel.

The QT Queenstown truely offers an experience to remember. In time, this place will only get better. We stayed here for a few days in October while we got to explore the local surroundings. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The beds nice and comfy with a selection of pillows. These are complemented with a modern stylish bathroom. The staff were super friendly and helpful, making recommendations on where to eat, what to see and the best walking tracks. Oh and don’t forget about there free shuttle service into town surrounds and to/from the airport. We had one minor issue where we went to enjoy some wine from the minibar only to find it had been opened, which was odd as we discovered it on our second night. I highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a few nights away in this stunning little town.

Absolutely incredible customer service and great hotel. Ami was super nice and helpful. We were staying here to get married and the room was beautiful for getting ready photos. I emailed them ahead of time to let them know we would be getting married and they setup champagne, chocolate and a bath bomb for us to congratulate us. We were going on the Milford track hike after and they let us leave our luggage with them for a few days. Absolutely incredible customer service and such nice people! Great location and beautiful rooms. They even have a happy hour and coffee hour

This hotel was the best! It is a very short walk into town. There is a steep hill to return to the hotel but it is short and totally doable. The staff were very welcoming (and also patient when they had to repeat how to get into the parking lot). The bedroom was large, and we had a second room that was also ginormous. EVERYTHING was very clean and comfortable. Their products are Kevin Murphy — which is super expensive in the U.S. Our room did not have a view, which was totally fine with us. All you have to do is go to the restaurant or bar and you get to enjoy the view from there. We will definitely stay here again when we are back in Queenstown!

Beautiful hotel with stunning views, modern quiet and spotless rooms, and genuinely wonderful staff. Room service was delicious, one of the best meals I’ve had in Queenstown. A few things could be improved: • Curtains aren’t full blockout, so light comes in from the sides. • Pillows weren’t very comfortable or supportive. • Parking is tight and often overbooked, which made it stressful for guests arriving later. Overall though, an amazing stay and I’d happily return — just hoping the parking and room comfort get a little upgrade!
