QT Sydney, Sydney, NSW, Australia - Hotel Review | Condé Nast Traveler

"How did it strike you on arrival? Seductively costumed Directors of Chaos greet you outside this dramatic boutique hotel, handy for CBD (Central Business District) shopping. A quirky heritage-modern conversion, QT Sydney is housed in the historic State Theatre and former Gowings department store buildings, flaunting Gothic, Art Deco and Italianate architecture. Artwork-lined lifts whisk guests up to lobby level. Nice. What’s the crowd like? Design hunters, culture vultures and party people love the stylish QT, which has a sexy, hedonistic, arty vibe. Think urban sophisticates who like to play. The good stuff: Tell us about your room. The 200 contemporary rooms and suites retain original details, funked up with oversized, asymmetric headboards, illuminated sideboards, furry throws and kooky accessories, from bowler hat-shaped lights to rabbit figurines. Moodily lit rooms come in racy reds or glam golds. We’re craving some deep, restorative sleep. They got us? The QT King size beds have gel mattress guaranteed for sleeping like royalty. Travelling in a trio? You can pay extra for a rollaway bed in most rooms. The QT Twin Double sleeps four. How about the little things, like mini bar, or shower goodies. Any of that find its way into your suitcase? Legendary QT minibars include local spirits and snacks, vintage games and witty gifts, from an emergency bow tie to an intimacy kit. Pick up hip souvenirs from the Qtique shop. Please tell us the bathroom won’t let us down. Slick modern bathrooms in entry-level QT King rooms feature walk-in rain showers, double vanities and New York-sourced Malin+Goetz products you’ll want to take home. All other room tiers offer indulgent baths. Maybe the most important topic of all: Wi-Fi. What’s the word? Free high-speed Wi-Fi won’t let you down. Room service: Worth it? 24-hour room service. Complimentary coffee pods and local T2 teas will pick you up after a big night out. Staff: If you could award one a trophy, who gets it, and why? A virtual concierge, QT Life blog and social media shares the best city happenings. The actual concierge is on the money too. Anything stand out about other services and features? Whether it’s childcare, gyms, spas, even parking—whatever stuck with you. Laboratory-chic spaQ provides massages, facials, a hammam and retro barber shop for gents’ grooming. Ground-floor Parlour Lane Roasters cafe serves coffee and pastries backdropped by vitrines of dandy fashion, Gilt Lounge bar off the lobby pours innovative cocktails, and surreally styled Gowings Bar & Grill whips up delicious all-day dining. What was most memorable—or heartbreaking—about your stay? QT Sydney’s intriguing interiors and cutting-edge video art lead you down the rabbit hole. Discover a wonderland of creative touches, including a luggage wall installation in the lobby. Bottom line: worth it, and why? Buzzy city-center location plus boutique design equals a fun getaway." - Sophie Davies

15 Best Breakfasts in Sydney | Condé Nast Traveler

"Some hotel restaurants are surprisingly good at breakfast, and Gowings Bar & Grill at the QT Sydney delivers. The breakfast menu features a variety of egg dishes like huevos rancheros, truffle scrambled eggs, and the Growings Breakfast plate packed with sausage, bacon, eggs, mushrooms, and more. For something lighter, order the watermelon salad with pomegranate, mint, and ricotta." - Sophie Davies

We stayed here for my son's 10th birthday - it was incredible. Weirdly, they called us before we got there to ask what my son would like for his birthday for a gift, I was so appreciative and grateful for the call and the thought. I told them something small - like Pokemon or something - again - so grateful. When we got there, there was a card, which was lovely, but no gift. I'm glad I didn't mention anything to him. Everything else was amazing. Seriously - brilliant, and very comfortable and special.

Stayed here for the first time in July 2025 for three nights. Familiar with the brand and wasn’t disappointed by QT Sydney. The staff were amazing, the hotel beautifully designed with a quirky playful element. The bar is great. The breakfasts included in the room rate were fantastic. A top location for anyone who wants to be central to CBD shopping and a short walk to Sydney Harbour area.

The room was closer to a 4.5, but the service made it a 5.0.||The QT Sydney is in the heart of the central business district, within walking distance (30 minutes or less) to most major attractions, including the Sydney Opera House.||The price point for the room was a little high, even with the exchange rate, but worth the expense.||We stayed in a QT Executive King room for five nights. The room was nice with a comfortable bed. We were on an upper floor so the room was quiet.||The room was a little dark, even on the upper floor, and the half-open shower can make the bathroom floor wet, which can be slippery.||The hotel houses two restaurants, The Parlour, where breakfast is served, and Gowings. What stood out was the excellent service, and concern over any dietary needs or allergies.||The hotel staff was very accommodating. Josh, Josh the aspiring writer, Andrew, and Miel were all very pleasant and helpful.

We recently stayed at the QT Sydney and had a great experience. From the big, bold and beautifully designed rooms to the disco lifts me and the kids had a great time. The beds were very comfortable, bathtubs large and ready for lots of bubbles. The staff from the fun door staff to the pleasant reception staff to the very attentive breakfast cafe staff were amazing. The rooms had a great mini bar, big windows and best of all were very quiet. A great place to stay.

Google
Nice hotel, great location. Modern and artistic. My room 1012 was on the tenth floor and had a cute view of the QVB building next door. The bed was so comfy, I had a great night sleep. The shower was a little wild - pressure was so high it wouldn’t stay down. Reported to reception on check out. I’d stay here again for sure :-)

Google
Great , quirky decor. Was excited to stay there. Booked a Deluxe King room only to find loud building work next to us, within the hotel. Got moved to another part of the building and upgraded. Again lovely decor, but the bed was horrendous. The worst partner disturbance and banging noise every time you turned. Hardly slept, and felt so unrested in the morning. Not ideal for going to work. If you like a dark room it failed on that too. Light pouring in at the top of curtains. Be aware if you use the light in the bathroom during the night, the whole room lights up too. Tried to address these things at reception and with management and was basically just dismissed. None of this I would expect from a brand describing itself as Luxury or 5 star. If you’re looking for a good nights sleep, it’s not here.

This hotel lives up to the hype! Everyone there was very nice and helpful. We were upgraded to an executive king room, which was fantastic. It was a large room with a huge bathroom with a separate egg shaped tub.|The room had a small fridge and many snack and drink options in the room is you were interested.|The bed was very comfortable and the pillows were amazing.|The lobby, on the 1st floor, had a large open and inviting sitting area with several different seating groupings.|The was a restaurant on the street level that was open from early to late and was a nice place to have a cup of coffee or tea.|The entire hotel was decorated in a manner that offered many quirky surprises as you walked around the hotel.|It was centrally located in Darling Harbor and was near many stores, restaurants and coffee shops.|It was about a mile walk to Sydney Harbor, Circular Quay and the Opera House, Harbor Bridge and the Cruise Port.|If you're coming in to take a cruise, you would need to get a taxi with luggage.

QT Executive King Room is an undeniably stylish room with a strong sense of character and comfort. The standout feature of my stay was the slipper bathtub. Deep, spacious, and incredibly comfortable, it’s one of the best tubs I’ve used in any hotel.||The rain shower was great with strong pressure and a stylish design, but it was slightly awkward to use because you had to pull a small pin to activate the main showerhead; if not, it defaulted to the handheld hose, which was annoying.||My room was on the 11th floor. While the view wasn’t anything special, the hotel’s location makes up for it. You’re literally right in the dead centre of Sydney, walking distance to just about everything.||Check-in, however, left a bit to be desired. I was told I’d get a call when my room was ready, but after waiting a few hours in the lobby, I had to follow up myself. Turns out the room had been ready for a while. I also overheard other guests wondering about the same issue. A little more warmth at reception wouldn’t hurt either. The greeting felt flat and transactional.||The bed was very soft. Softer than most hotel beds, but still super comfortable. The air conditioning was another story. It was oddly loud, like a freezer running on full blast, and it definitely disrupted the otherwise calm atmosphere.||One of the best surprises was the mini bar. It was impressively stocked, more like having a mini convenience store in the room than a standard selection of overpriced snacks and drinks. Definitely a win. HOWEVER, there wasn’t any sugars in the room for my coffee! Tea options were perfect. ||QT Sydney isn’t perfect, but it has charm. If you care about location, comfort, and cool design and can overlook a few service hiccups, it’s a great option.

Yelp
QT is so luxurious, I love staying here! the rooms are incredibly furnished and feel so special. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and the food was also amazing!

Yelp
Great location, very unique hotel close to shopping centers, cafes, restaurants, and public transportation.

Yelp
Seriously, QT Sydney, I love my weekend visits for amazing coffee and today I wanted a special treat peanut butter on sourdough. Well, I am not at my old primary school cafeteria, to serve up one small butter portion and two small Kraft peanut butter sachets ruined my whole experience. You do not expect such food service from a leading hotel. Time to lift your game, toss the cafeteria sachets and offer real peanut butter in generous servings..

Yelp
It isn't your traditional hotel as the lobby is one floor up. You should be greeted by one of the staff who will offer to hold your bags and bring them up once you are done checking in which is nice and convenient. As soon as you walk into the elevator you know you are stepping into a cool hotel. It kind of reminded me of The Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas with the lights and music playing. The cool thing is the music sometimes plays different songs depending on how many to who is in it. So the question is... is one really the loneliest number? When we got to the front desk, we were warmly greeted with smiles. My better half is a member but unfortunately they said that the hotel was kind of full so we couldn't get upgraded to a suite. They put us in room 709 which like other rooms are kind of on the dark side meaning that the room is low lighting. But wow what a room it was. It had a mini-fridge with a loaded bar and snacks that you have to pay for but how convenient it is. However we wanted to use the mini-fridge to put some things in and we called the front desk and they sent someone up to take the things in there away so we could use it. Yes we bought our own drinks and food right down the street at Woolworths which is probably the place you would want to buy everything at as they have the best prices that we've seen. QT Hotel is smack in the middle of two train lines that you can walk to, to explore the rest of Sydney. There is a major major mall within 5 minutes to get all your shopping out of the way. Chinatown is like a 15 minute walk where you can also find Paddy's Market which is like an indoor swap-meet that has the best prices on things like phone accessories, shirts, kangaroo hats and furs, wigs, souvenir things. Back to the room. They had bathrobes, blowdryer, ironing board, iron, coffee espresso machine, hot water kettle as well as free Wifi and free movies. There was a nice big tub and shower. On the bottom floor has a restaurant and bar which is nice and convenient. We didn't get to experience it first hand as we had other places we wanted to eat at. Overall it is a very nice and swanky hotel something you would expect of a boutique hotel.

Yelp
The hotel is a moment. Right place, right time, a twinkle in the Emerald City. Part art deco masterpiece, part heritage theatre. Rustic Italian dines with New York socialite, and in-house pampering awaits spa-crossed lovers. One night only, every night.

Yelp
What a fascinating place. Even the elevator music changes depending on the number of people in the elevator. Is one really the loneliest nunber?

Yelp
We've stayed here a couple of times now and always love it, the rooms are incredibly stylish and well appointed. Staff are always incredibly welcoming and friendly, happy to answer questions and give directions. This time We were treated to a free upgrade to a suite on the 11th floor and the room was incredible, we almost didn't want to leave it. Gowings bar and grill is a great restaurant, we really enjoyed the atmosphere there while we had some drinks in the evening and the breakfast the next morning was very tasty. We would definitely recommend the QT to anyone that wants to stay in the heart of the CBD, everything is so easy to get to; the shops, darling harbour, Hyde park - all are right on your doorstep.

Yelp
QT Sydney is a modern 5 star hotel with quirky artistic touches. Crystal vases and dark furnishings, headless manikins (all tasteful of course) and extended statuesque hands that present your room number. It all flows together very well and makes for a comfortable and interesting stay. The Gowings Bar (upstairs from the lobby) is chic and large. Perfectly prepared cocktails and great customer service are the order of the day here. Gowings is open late too, perfect for that late night, night cap. Our room was upgraded which, wonderful! Although, the comfortable bed dipped slightly in the middle. Early checkin wasn't a problem for our stay either. Overall, a wonderful option for a central stay in Sydney.

Yelp
Oh my gosh what a fun and quirky hotel. I really enjoyed my stay here. This hotel is off the beaten patj so if you blink you'll miss it, however, it is very close to all the major Sydney hot spots. Darling harbor, the Sydney Opera House, the Observation deck, Queen Victoria building, And the bus station are all within a 2-mile walking radius which is a good thing. The streets are a mess w/ the never ending light rail construction The staff are very friendly here. The rooms are spacious, the bathroom is AMAZING! I absolutely loved my stay here. 5 stars for sure

Yelp
Just got into Australia to spend the holidays here in Sydney and this hotel I'm staying at is more impressive the longer I'm here. The hotel has a very chic, unique, trendy, style which I'd say resembles closest to the SLS Hotel back in Los Angeles. Although, it is not in as grand of a scale and size for a boutique hotel it caries very similar mod characteristics. Very excited that I'll stay here long enough to kick off the New Year in Sydney. The Gilt Lounge was very accommodating to our needs and for my little nephew. So far my favorite thing is that they have a partnership with Virgin Active so that all QT guests can go use their gym just minutes in walking distance from the hotel. Bonus - there is a secret door to access the secret elevator to get to our room in the upper level floor...fun, fun, fun! Wahooooo, I heart you QT Sydney Hotel!

Yelp
This was a surprise anniversary stay and it was a great experience. The hotel has such a great vibe, so much thought has been put into the venue and you can see touches everywhere. Based in the old Gowings building in George St next to the State Theatre. I wish we could have stayed for longer. There is a member lounge for people who are staying which has an espresso machine and sparkling and non sparkling bottled water, lovely lounges and a good vibe. The lifts to get up change music depending on how many people are in the lift. The staff are impeccably dressed with a strong early 20th Century feel with the odd head of bright orange hair. They are both friendly and helpful. We had one of the second up entry level rooms and it was again, appointed really well with tonnes of touches that just make it such a memorable experience. They have movies on demand which is nice, though our remote was a bit twitchy. The idyllic thing about this is that its so different from standard hotels. Most are cookie-cuttered hotels which are the same everywhere in the world, a bit of a McDonald's experience. It's good maybe for the person who likes consistency in their design. I heard that this hotel was designed by a woman, and it makes me think there ought to be many more women designers if this is the case. So close to the centre of the city, its ideal for visiting many of the great restaurants nearby. Will be recommending it to friends, and hopefully get the opportunity to stay here again!

Yelp
After 20 hours on a plane I found myself lounging on the most comfortable bed I've ever laid upon. The ambiance in this hotel is incredible, the room service is top notch, there isn't anything I dislike about this hotel. Quality Quality Quality. I could live here! The QT has got it right! Outstanding!

Yelp
Went in for a trim while visiting our local Sydney office and while everyone was polite and it seems like a nice establishment, I seem to have been a customer that was forgotten about. I stopped by at 10am to see if they had any openings and the lady behind the counter said 12:15 was their next opening so I took it. After a tour of the aquarium in Darling Harbor, I stopped back in at about 12:00 - the lady said it would be 12:15 or closer to 12:30 at the latest. Cool, no worries. She took me to the lounge and offered me a drink, I had some water and waited almost a solid hour without anyone saying a word to me before I walked out. Seems they were running behind, however good customer service would dictate that notifying your customers of this would be proper rather than just leaving them be. Looked like a sharp place but I couldn't get them to take my money.

Yelp
We, from Seoul South Korea as a big holiday, stayed 4 nights and couldn't find any beauty of Sydney sadly while we were here. You consider this as your stay? I would say No. I don't believe 'Boutique' anything since we stayed here.

Yelp
Where to start? Arrival ... greeted warmly ... the door staff are very attentive and helpful ... Porter service ... excellent, prompt and, again, friendly and warm ... Check-in ... very courteous, prompt, and warm and very responsive throughout our stay - checkout was a breeze ... Room ... very clean and comfortable, bathroom is roomy with double sinks, very funky decor; room rate included Nespresso coffees and on-demand movies ... well-stocked mini-bar .... overall a great room! Room Service ... very well done and nice selection of meals available at all times ... Gowings bar and restaurant are both excellent ... recommend reserving at the restaurant, as it is a "hot spot" .... great food, great drinks, great service .... SpaQ .... also excellent, great service and amenities .... Parlour Lane cafe (at ground floor entrance) also excellent ... amazing coffees, the freshest French pastries and an absolutely fabulous breakfast bun (bacon, egg, etc on a light and fluffy brioche bun) that is to die for! Also fabulous service provided! Overall our stay was excellent ... in addition to all of the comfort and great service (and high quality food and drinks!) the property has a cool vibe and theme ... very avant garde and not at all gratuitous ... the staff carry it well and it just fits! Would definitely stay again!!

Yelp
This hotel is a great! Everything is within walking distance. The staff are amazing. We ran into the doorman on the elevator and he asked how our stay was going. My husband jokingly said the only way it could be better is to have cold beer waiting in the room when we get back. 6 hours later we walk in the room to see 3 beers in an ice bucket and a note. Thanks Andrew! What a nice touch! Totally unbelievable! We will recommend this place to everyone!

Yelp
Not much to say considering everyone else has said it so well. A bit left of centre and just really cool. This place is awesome. My job requires me to travel a lot so the word 'hotel' just makes me sigh and think "Here we go again". This place couldn't be more different. Had a fantastic time there starting off with an hour and a half massage at SpaQ (incredibly good and certainly not exorbitant on pricing), and then had room service and vegetated for the rest of the afternoon before heading out for dinner. Room service was awesome - triple decker turkey club and a hot dog with smoked pork and veal. On top of that, there's a cocktail shaker waiting in your room with directions on how to make an espresso martini. Splash out on it - the recipe was damn good. We also went berserk and smashed the salted caramel rocky road in the room which was also very tasty. Two other big pros. The movies are free, and the rooms are half price on a Sunday night (what we got for our money was excellent). Definitely staying there again!

Yelp
I love this hotel. QT is kitted out with the kind of OTT luxury you just don't find in other hotels. One night was not enough for me (though definitely enough for my credit card). I could have stayed in that comfy bed, wearing that comfy robe for the rest of my days. Anyway. Visiting from Brisbane for a concert, we caught the train from the airport to St. James station, conveniently located a couple of blocks away from the hotel. Bags taken at the front door by some impeccably-dressed porters who showed us upstairs to reception. Check-in was quick and easy, though our room wasn't ready so we popped downstairs to Parlour cafe and had a bite while we waited. Poached eggs and coffee were both delicious! Upon entering the room we were thrilled to find a sexy, chic oasis completely unbecoming of your average hotel room. The mini bar (which we didn't touch, who do you think I am, the Queen?) was full of great quality booze and snacks. Most of the carefully chosen decorative items are also for sale, so if you're impulsive I can imagine you'd run up a hefty bill. The shower (more like a room, really) had one of those big square heads attached to the roof, great water pressure and was the kind of shower you could (did) stand in for way too long just letting your cares trickle away. Fluffy towels and giant navy robes -which you can also buy, if you happen to be Ms. Moneybags- were a step up from what you'd find at your average hotel. QT tricks you into thinking you are a fabulous movie star for the duration of your stay. I highly recommend it, despite the post-holiday depression you're guaranteed to fall into.

Yelp
I have been to and booked so many hotels in my life and this is just about the best and quirkiest experience I have ever had. Wow! Everything was a story in progress or waiting to happen, from the moment I was ushered out of my taxi. The elevator ride to the reception on the first floor was a journey, the sacred tunes of BB King or Elvis, the flashing lights, a Hollywood scene, the sound of burning tyres from a getaway vehicle as the doors closed. Tarantino would be proud! And then the doors open. What movie set am I on? What stage production and I in? How good looking is everyone? Fluid, faultless processes from checking-in to the moment I found my room (425). My room was small but amazingly well appointed. I felt like I had arrived! The bed was so soft and comfortable, the bathroom huge and perfect. I'm not a great sleeper but boy did I snooze. And the bar upstairs was dauntingly busy with uber cool and funkier-than-me people who had all the right ingredients to say they had quote-unquote arrived too. Style was an understatement. This is not for the thong set! I had a late flight and so much work to do, so I used the lounge on the 1st floor. Was a little miffed that only one plug worked to charge my laptop (a hint to management) which Bree solved (thanks Bree!). Truly, I can't wait to go back. Worth every cent they charge.

Yelp
For the past five years, we have been external guests of the QT, Sydney, regularly partaking of breakfast or dinner in their restaurant. It is therefor disparaging, to say the very least, to witness a definite decline in not just the standard of their service, but of their culinary offerings. It is hard to conceive that in a nation, that has elevated the art of coffee making to a cult, we were compelled to leave the cold & pithy coffee, untouched. The serving of bloated pancakes, lay smothered beneath an oppressive white mush, that was barely edible. The waiter, swift in delivering the $58 check, cast nary an eye on our barely touched breakfast, nor felt even the vaguest inclination to enquire whether we had enjoyed the food or not. Maybe easy come, easy go has taken on a new meaning in this age, where many fine dining restaurants now simply rest on their jaded laurels, caring more about profitability than about their patrons.

Yelp
easily could've been a one star review, but QT made up for it. service is top notch. the good: really glamorous and sexy rooms great toiletries (MARTIN+GOTEZ from nyc) good service free access to Virgin active gyms (be sure to ask for this as they do not volunteer this info) large spacious rooms very comfy beds creative and interesting decor so... the big negative ... one side of the hotel rooms for some reason shake and rumble as the elevator moves. we complained about this and were promptly upgraded to another room at the other side of the hotel. this would've been awesome, had it not been for the HUGE asian cockroach crawling i found crawling in our shower space in the second room. stuff happens, bugs crawl into drains and such, but UGHHHH what a horrible sight to see in a luxury boutique hotel. obviously we complained and we upgraded to their corner penthouse suite. the manager personally helped us move to our new room and comped our drinks. i thought that was a nice touch and good save - but i did keep wondering if i'd unexpectedly run into another bug in the room. *shiver*

Yelp
We stayed at QT for a week in a Junior Suite. I'm pretty sure they have ruined all other hotels for us, due to being incredible. Our stay was downright perfect. The staff is amazing. Special shouts to Daniel, Brooke, and Jackie! They were so accommodating I couldn't believe it. The room was clean & impeccable. I have NOTHING bad to say about this place. If you're going to Sydney for any reason, this is where you want to stay!

Yelp
I can not stop talking about my amazing trip. The QT could not have been a better choice. I want to give a special mention to two of the employees. Jay and shun made us feel like family. They told us the best spots to go in Sydney and we ended up having an amazing trip because of their advise. They were so passionate about what they did they made us want to come back to the QT. Thank you both as well as the rest of the great staff. We will be back one day and will makes sure to stay at the Sydney QT. P.S. rooms are great, they are clean and functional with great character.

Yelp
This hotel is amazing. It is artistic and quirky, with a totally luxurious feel. Kind of like the Standard or the W in the states, but decidedly more boutique. The staff outside are super helpful and the front desk makes you feel right at home. There is also a guest lounge with an honor bar. The room itself is big, with lots of options for lighting. The color scheme is beautiful. Beds are suuuuper comfy. The garden tub was so luxurious, I have decided I need one in my house. :) Location wise-- this hotel is the best. In the heart if Sydney within walking distance to all the local attractions: Sydney Harbor/opera House, Darling Harbor, Shopping, Restaurants, the Rocks...it's not even a far cab to the beaches. The bar and restaurants within the hotel are excellent as well. Go stay there. You will love it!

Yelp
Went here tonight for drinks before a show at the state theatre and ordered a gin and tonic and it seemed like it wasn't alcohol at all so ordered a double next round and had the same suspicions so ordered a shot and then realised our assumptions were correct!! The gin bottles were filled with heavily watered down gin!!! Advised the manager who agreed and was embarrassingly shocked! He then tasted it and tipped all the bottles down the sink!!! refunded a couple of rounds and the gin and apologised... but really? A high priced classy bar serving water in gin bottles is an absolute disgrace!! I went back after the show as he said he was happy to provide a few drinks and was never offered another drink! Also the bill had been altered as tips rather than purchases so the bar crew could pocket the purchased drinks as tips!!! Absolute scam, theft and disgrace!! Will NEVER be going back there and have also reported the bar to the ACCC! BEWARE!!!

This is a beautiful hotel with the friendliest staff I have ever come across. I am a black priority rewards member (their highest level which is reasonable to achieve) so was given a double upgrade. Close access to shopping, food, tourist attractions and St James train station. Only negatives is no info in the room, they have Free movies and if I hadn't stayed at a QT before would not have known. Also there is s gym plus access to Virgin fitness centre in Pitt St but no mention. Would recommend to anyone!! Definitely come back if i have the opportunity (usually stay at Sofitel or Pullman Hyde Park) because it's my new favourite.

Yelp
Definitely a great boutique hotel to be in if you're looking to be smacked right in the city centre and surrounded by all the shopping you can savor. The hospitality of this hotel is superb and quirky but hey.... that's what QT is famous for. I enjoyed my stay from the time I checked in right till I checked out. Keep up the great warm service QT!!!!

Yelp
Awesome hotel! Has a different feel to it. No clinical hotel feel! Very quirky and comfortable. Would definitely come back

Yelp
Only stayed for 1 night unfortunately! Beautiful boutique hotel. Rooms are beautiful, great mini bar, nespresso machine in the room, lovely bed. Highly recommend this hotel - right next to Pitt St Mall too!

Yelp
This is a seriously stylish hotel with cool quirky decor (but dark!) and beautifully styled rooms. Adults only hotel - great for a Sydney shopping getaway as Myer, Westfield and QVB are literally opposite. Bathroom was amazing (except the bath was like 3/4 size and not particularly comfy) but dual shower heads with stacks of space. Comfy beds, great block out curtains, free movies. Definitely worth a visit!

Yelp
This is the best boutique hotel in Sydney. I've stayed a few times now and it's always good. Old school classy chic cool with luxury and fun combined in a perfect balance. The CBD location is perfect. There are two hotel chains in Europe 'citizen M' and 'mama shelter' that push the envelope further but until they hit our shores these guys have quirky sexy boutique market to themselves. Highly recommend.

Yelp
This review is for their spa. I had a fantastic, probably the best facial I ever had in Sydney, both in terms of experience and results. When I came back for the second time however, I got a different beautician. Not that she was not good, but her service quality did not justify the price. She couldn't choose the right products for my skins. And I also did not like that she massaged my feet and went on to massage my face (although the feet were wiped first with hot cloth). I find it unnecessary to spray my feet with rosewater. Why so much attention on the feet? I'm here for facial, not for feet treatment.

Yelp
Boutique and brilliant! Not your average garden variety Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt etc..The QT has character with a touch of class and all the creature comforts you'd expect from a 4-5 star establishment. From the old school barber shop on ground, to the lobby and guest lounge on level 1 and everything above the QT screams edginess! The King Room we stayed in was romance personified boasting a plush bed with an abundance of pillows, a sheepskin and a sexy bathroom (not just an ensuite) with a deep, steamy Japanese bath that could thaw the underwear off of a Carmelite nun ! Located perfectly in the heart of the CBD, the QT boasts easy access to the major city shopping precincts and is an easy 10 min stroll to Circular Quay and the Rocks. The staff were friendly and helpful - gladly storing our baggage after out 11am checkout while we further explored Sydney before catching an afternoon flight . We would be happy to stay at the QT again, but room rates are not for the budget conscious and I have not encountered the QT yet on discount accommodation sites such as wotif or last minute.

Yelp
I stayed here with my husband while he was here for work, and we had a really great time. The staff are gracious and helpful, the room service food is excellent (order the crab sandwich,) and it's a comforting, fun place to come back to at the end of the day. I love the quirky details they add to the rooms, like the luxurious sheepskin throw and the glass statuary cabinet separating the main room from the bathroom. The showers and deep baths are amazing, great water pressure even four floors up, and the beds are soft and spacious. During our time here we had some odd requests, such as a print-out for a project, and each time they were fulfilled cheerfully and swiftly. Figuring in the usual muffled background noises one expects everywhere, we had no noise complaints. I'm certain that if we had, the staff would have addressed it. Also, I appreciated the location, as it was a convenient walk both to my husband's office in Darling Island and to Circular Quay. Highly recommended!
