Quality Hotel & Suites São Salvador

A good hotel with a good location in Salvador with helpful staff. However, the Internet was very weak! Water of the pool was dirty. The water stops in the bathroom sink. The breakfast was good as well.

- mostly no Wifi in room and at pool - no facilities around hotel. no restaurant, shop, supermarket,… - very basic rooms - unfriendly staff (reception unhelpful, housekeeping pushy, some breakfast staff look very unhappy) - gym with lots of broken equipment - hotel praises itself as clean and uses stereo-foam bowls for breakfast + clean + quiet area + outside pool ok + breakfast with a lot of variety

Pros: good bed, hot water, good breakfast, good exercise room. The staff made a lot of attempts to be helpful, including Lucas Silver and Leandro Santos. ||||Cons: the hotel was in no way ready to receive foreign visitors. The safes in most rooms were lacking batteries, if not broken. Not all the room phones were working. Most of the hotel staff knows no other language beyond Portuguese.

Nice pool for lap swimming. Rooms are spartan but clean and quiet. Check in a huge fiasco that took 25 minutes. We both had American passports and "the system" would only put one non-Brazilian in a room. What?!? Breakfast acceptable except for awful coffee. The place is fine if you don't care about luxury and can get a very good price.

This is a good busines hotel if you have business in the neighborhood. In my case I was giving a course at an university withing walking distance. The suites are very clean and confortable. The only negative that there is no powe nesr the table to plug in your computer. The staff is friendly and helpfull. Brekfast is complete and good. The entrance to the hotel is on a patio that is still not completely finished and when it rains becomes floded. The hotel had to provide a boarded passage.

If you are not wishing to enjoy peaceful walks through the wonderful seaside of Salvador (be very careful, please), nor it's nice beaches (mind your personal belongings), nor the natural pools for snorkeling (attention with fishermen in the middle of diving areas), nor the old quarter (not for night time), nor the port (caution!), then this apart-hotel complex maybe the ideal for you. Flats are ok, clean and comfortable. WiFi is perfect. Attention is without complaint. Everything is tidy. Wake-up calls are respected. Breakfast may not be legendary, but is well enough (finding table may be somewhat complicated in rush hours, but nothing epic anyway). Elevators come in reasonable time. The kitchenette is poorly provided, as if they supposed no one is actually going to use it, which is, by the way, absolutely true: no one does).

Very nice room and a good restaurant. Breakfast buffet is getting better every week. The downside is the gym. The only equipment available is difficult to handle and could be replaced by a better one. Treadmills and weights are available too. The price is fair for the hotel.
