Quality Hotel Fredrikstad

Came for a night as was visiting a customer in the area. The hotel is perfectly placed near the river and the bars. The room is big and shower powerful. The breakfast is a high quality really liked eating salmon cavier for breakfast really cool. The staff are amazing and really go out of their way to help.||One oddity is the gym. There isn't one but they have a deal so we can use the family sports club near by. There are positives and negatives to this. The positive is it's massive with a foot ball size pitch worth of machines working every muscle I have and even a few I did know I had. But the down side is it's 1km from the hotel away from town so can be hard to find. Also it's a real gym not a hotel gym so there are no towels or shower gel and all signs are in Norwegian. But for me it was cool as I got to train like a local.||I will be back

I’ve stayed at Quality Hotel Fredrikstad twice in the past two months, and it’s a consistently pleasant experience. The location is excellent — right in the centre of Fredrikstad and within easy walking distance of everything you need. The rooms are bright, modern, and a good size, and even though the bathrooms are on the smaller side, they never feel too cramped. Temperature control is often an issue in hotels, but on both stays it was perfectly comfortable here. The bed is very good, though the pillows were disappointing, and while the blackout curtains are decent, they’re not completely lightproof. Breakfast is generally good, with a solid selection, but the scrambled eggs had a sauce-like consistency that wasn’t very appetising — definitely room for improvement there. One practical tip: if you arrive in the evening and plan to leave before 08:00, you can park for free in the municipal parking area right across the street. All in all, a very solid hotel with great location and comfort, with just a few small details keeping it from a perfect score.

A good convenient choice in a friendly town which I visited following Crystal Palace for a football match. Two minutes walk to the lovely riverfront with some lovely bars. Rooms comfortable (they don’t seem to do twins though) but no a/c. Excellent breakfast particularly the salmon. A ten minute walk from the rail station. Recommended!

Ordered a deluxe room, unfortunelately it had malfunctioning aircondition. The receptionist did no intend to fix this, but we were offered fans..||Some noise from the street||Average breakfast||Good beds/nice room otherwise, but didnt sleep well (noise/hot because of no AC)||No membership advantage||I recommend other restaurants in Fredrikstad than Strawberrys own restaurant if you want better quality and choices of food and wine.

Short walk from train station and then only a further 5mins walk into the town centre. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent breakfast.

We liked the location, it was within walking distance to the pier promenade and several stores and restaurants. The staff was friendly and very accommodating. The breakfast was well supplied and very good. The room rated lower because there was no clock, no phone, no shower curtain (only 1/2 glass door, floor got pretty wet), no ice bucket and it was a bit noisy. We don't know what the other rooms are like so they may be better.
