Quality Hotel Grand, Kongsberg

Hotel located in very good place. No free parking is provided. Rooms have only one small caffe table only supports a personal laptop. The dinner menu is limited.

I want to share this perfect hotel with all guests that need rest, a place in the sun, a lot of space in the hotel room, and also good service on their holiday, rehabilitation or work week in Kongsberg. We always stay here and have been guests more than 10 times before in recent years. The hotel has most of what you need, a nice restaurant and even nicer breakfast, also a wonderful range of rooms, and the biggest ones are nicest! We got a handicap friendly room as I had broken my foot and needed rest. Also, the service of cleaning, and roomservice was immaculate. The employees in the reception area took well care of me and our needs, and the hotel is renovated this year with a new workout hall. I loved the pool and spa, that is now closed, and hope for it to return by the next time we arrive - a wonderful poison-free pool area. we also love the small glass lift! Also, we loved the view from our room.

We really enjoyed our visit. The room was an excellent size, the bed was really comfortable, the staff were terrific, breakfast is first class. We ate in one night. Dinner was good if not exceptional. This was the one occasion the staff slipped up.

I recently stayed at the Quality Hotel Grand Kongsberg and overall had a good experience. The hotel has been nicely renovated, and the superior room we stayed in was clean and comfortable. One of the highlights was the bathroom with floor heating, which added a touch of luxury to our stay. However, there was one aspect of our experience that was a bit disappointing. As a light-weight individual, I found the comfort of the bed to be lacking. Throughout the night, I could feel the springs of the mattress pushing into my back, which eventually led to back pain. On the other hand, my partner, who is heavier, had a great night's sleep and didn't experience any discomfort. It seems that the mattress is better suited for individuals who are slightly heavier. Despite the issue with the bed, I was pleasantly surprised by the extensive breakfast offered at the hotel. There was a wide variety of choices, which made for a satisfying and enjoyable start to the day. Overall, the Quality Hotel Grand Kongsberg provided a pleasant stay with its clean and nicely renovated rooms. However, I would recommend that lighter individuals inquire about the mattress comfort before booking, as it may not be ideal for everyone. P.S. I forgot to take a picture of the bed at the beginning of my stay, therefore the messy bed.

An okay hotel located in the middle of Kongsberg. Parking in the basement is expensive, but practical. And the parking is not owned or managed by the hotel, so you can choose to park elsewhere. Or take the train. The room is a standard ok-sized hotelroom. Some rooms have carpets, they should be replaced or removed. Not nice for someone with asthma. Breakfast is ok, but nothing more. Bread selection is small. The restaurant in the lobby is good, with nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. I stayed in the hotel for two weeks, but went home during the weekend. And judging by the posters in the elevator the hotel is an after-ski-party during the weekend anyway, so be warned.

You have to ask in order to give you towels and change bed sheets etc. Bar is not working until certain afternoon time, however it is not allowed to bring your own drink in hotel garden. I had to change room, just because key suddenly stop working. No any extra services except gym.

Works well. Friendly staff supporting in questions. Garage near by. Good space in rooms, apparently was an a newer side so can be some old ones existing. Meeting center on the other side of street, providing full services. Lacking one star of my review as no bar / restaurant option sunday early evening.
