Check-in was easy by the super friendly staff. The hotel has two swift lifts. ||The room was large and had a little desk area and a big TV; unfortunately, the room smelled faintly of cigarettes. The bed was comfortable and had all non-feather pillow options--great for allergy sufferers. There were nightstands and power outlets on each side--perfect for two people to charge devices at bedside.||The bathroom was large and well lit, and had a shower (only). The shower water pressure was ok but the hot water was never very hot. There was plenty of counter space for toiletries. The towels were just ok. ||The WiFi was strong (yay!) but not password protected (boo!). Over all an ok stay.

The Quality Hotel Grand (and yes, part of Quality Rewards pts) in Kristianstad, Sweden is right in downtown across from the massive Heliga Trefaldighets Church and only 5 minutes walk to the train station. Good-sized, clean comfortable room, elevators and courteous staff who speak English. Very large breakfast room with hot food buffet, fruit, juice & coffee.

The bathroom noticeably smelled of sewage, so that was great to open the bathroom door and get a whiff of that every morning and evening. It’s like the trap in the tub or toilet doesn’t work properly and leaks that sewage smell into the bathroom. I also got charged $75 for a small bag of laundry during my stay for Sweden Rock. I should have asked about the laundry service pricing, but the front desk person also didn’t give me any heads up that it wasn’t free and was expensive. Had I known, I would have just brought a bigger bag and more clothes with me for free.

Nice hotel, but noisy street below our window. Bit outdated but good.

As a wheelchair user, I chose this hotel because it offers accessible rooms. Unfortunately, I found something else. |The room is spacious and there is an extra handle at the entrance door so that the door can be pulled shut. This is where the facilities for disabled people come to an end. |There is no shelf in the wardrobe at wheelchair height, nor can you hang your clothes (so you have to scatter them on the floor and/or spread them out on the small desk).|The bathroom door has a threshold several centimetres high (threshold!!!), the shower seat was assembled incorrectly. Fittings are too high and incorrectly positioned. Soap is out of reach, as is the hairdryer. Shower and hand towels are only accessible when standing.... Anyone travelling alone in a wheelchair is totally lost in this hotel. This is despite the fact that Sweden is a very wheelchair-friendly and accessible country. ||However, the friendly and helpful staff and the great and very tasty breakfast buffet deserve a positive mention.

I visited my hometown of Kristianstad together with my partner and we wanted a comfortable hotel in a good location. Grand Hotel was perfect for the situation. It is located only a two minute walk from the train station as well as the main shopping streets. The front desk staff were welcoming and knowledgeable. The hotel is in good condition and the room was spacious and clean. The gym is well equipped and I believe there is a sauna as well although we did not get the opportunity to use it. The highlight of the stay was probably the breakfast buffet - an excellent selection of Swedish goodies in a calming environment. We also tried the meatballs served at lunchtime which were authentic and so delicious. Overall an enjoyable experience and highly recommended.

Nice breakfast, outside althea hotel there was extensive noise from various parties and cars with boombax. Impossible to sleep and I was not allocated a quite room. This is totally unacceptable as the hotel was well aware there was noise, still they did choose to give me a room in a party zone.||Terrible experience, I am not comming back and I can not recommend the hotel.

Wow! Where do I start. This is 100% a 5-star review because they deserve it. From the moment first got here, I’ve been spoiled. The room was super clean and quiet, centrally located within walking distance to restaurants, the Church across the street makes for a picture perfect view, and I have to mention staff member King. He made me feel right at home. So friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you so much! Can’t wait to tell all my friends about this place when I return home to Las Vegas. The best!!! ps see ya King thanks so much for the hospitality! Oh and their breakfast is amazing! I can go on and on. See ya! Michael
