The Grand Hotel Mildura has 3 quality levels of accommodation, Standard, Quality & Superior. I booked the Quality (mid range) twin room (room 14) which has more space & consisted of a queen & single bed.||The room is an all one colour grey tone being the walls & cupboards which appeared to be painted over. The carpet was charcoal. The room lacked contrast and it appeared to be missing nice touches.||To my disappointment & surprise there was no armchairs considering the available space. If you wanted to sit & watch tv or relax & chat with drinks, it's either you sit on the dated scratched 2 dining chairs with the table or you sit on the bed.||The other thing I wish to point out is the bathroom which has a dated laminex vanity from the 80s, like seriously it's 2025 that vanity needs a major update, you'll notice in the pic the side has a laminex chipped off.||When you're paying $570 for 3 nights in Mildura, you expect the room to be of better standard. I spoke with reception about a lack of armchairs and they did bring up 1 old pleather armchair, and I confirmed whether my room is the Quality room as the dining chairs & table were scratched & dated, & bathroom vanity is 80s and they said I was in the correct room.||Furthermore, the bed was not comfortable and not a pillow-top mattress, it seemed either it was a cheap quality mattress or it was an old mattress that it's springs have deteriorated, as their was a lack of support. The mattress needs to be replaced.||Most of the hotel was nice, with a manicured garden with an original heritage fountain. |I heard the better rooms are the ones facing the garden which are the superior rooms.
