We stayed in a family room which was averagely comfortable with clean bathrooms & bedding etc & had the necessary coffee making facility, iron, extra bedding etc, however the room did not feel cosy. Room felt a bit dated, shower door did not close fully. Was okay for a one nighter. Also found the passage floor quite uneven in some areas. This is a tripping hazard, especially so close to the stairway. The location of the hotel was great though.

There were many issues with our stay, which we also passed on to the Reception Staff. Their reaction was one of indifference & disinterest. We booked two nights based on the location of the hotel and the photos of the rooms online were magnificent. The hotel may be maintained on the outside, not so the inside or the rooms. Our room was dirty, poorly maintained and very dark & dinghy. The shower had black-mould growing, the grout in the tiles both floor and wall was black. The window sills were thick with dust, fluff and dead insects. The bathroom exhaust fan screeched high-pitched & very loud into action whenever the bathroom light was turned on. The daily housekeeping seemed to be limited to the bin being emptied and re-positioning the remote control units. Our toilet paper was not replenished, nor were the already meagre coffee & tea supplies topped up. We paid $225 per night for a supposed premium poolside room, only to find it was grotty and lacked the normal features you’d find in any basic motel room around Australia, i.e. there was no cutlery, no crockery, no milk, no tea-towel or wash-up liquid.

I note that you have filled in my opinions automatically and got them quite wrong. I have corrected them. This was a good hotel. I enjoyed my stay. However, I was surprised that I could not pay by EFTPOS without a surcharge, and that I had to pay cash if I did not want to pay extra. I also noted, in response to the question asked, that I was unlikely to recommend this hotel because nobody was ever likely to ask me to recommend an hotel in Mildura.

Good location but that's it. Rooms are tired and need refurbishing. Very soft bed. Car park is across the road. Attached restaurant is good however expensive. I got scotch fillet + bowl of potatoes and glass of wine for $82. Free coffee coupon for breakfast was nice.

Comfortable room and friendly helpful staff. But was concerned at 2 flights of stairs to our rooms. Lighting poor on top flight. Railing on one side only and steps a bit narrow. This presents rusk of falling - a concern for us ladies in our late 70s.

Entrance was beautiful, Front lady was lovely but was a little confused about payment of room as it was booked by work and then I could not check in as they needed credit card that was used. Very frustrating at the time as the work office lady was in a meeting and hard to get hold of to sort it out and I had a meeting to get to. It was sorted out but was a needless stress as the card was already on file. Room was a little bit worse for wear but I can see you are ding reno's

The price of the room was $215 and apparently one of the more premium rooms. The bathroom facilities were basic. Towels very thin bathmat small and tiny. Toilet paper 1 ply. A 4 globe heat lamp only had one globe working (the other 3 had blown). Main bedroom. A kettle but no toaster. Fridge - the freezer not working and felt wet. Mattress of poor quality. Two chairs but a very small inadequate round coffee table only. Curtains were on a metal rod sagging in the middle with multiple metal rings pulled away from curtain itself.|The outside balcony had table and chairs but chairs were worn along the edges of both making it unsafe to sit on. |Find somewhere else to stay for the money.

If you think the view is depressing then what could be worse than a rundown worn out and decrepit bedroom. And a labyrinth of equally depressing corridors to navigate before arriving at room 202!! Dirty fridge dirty walls depressing bedroom toilet very low dirty fleece blanket with white stains!! Bed sunk in middle. Paintwork shabby and most of all EMERGENCY DETAILS UNREADABLE !! Really cheap TV with cabling showing down wall. HONESTLY!! I have photos and I think I should report this to the Mildura council. The room was 202. You can contact me I think before I put this on TripAdvisor. The manager is aware. So I wonder if I’ll get a response???

Yelp
I wanted something nice to take my wife for her birthday for a break from our caravanning. I called the Grand and was prepared to book their best room at $365 a night. It came with a bar which we didn't want so I took the next best at $265. I would have preferred our caravan. The room was dull dowdy and most depressing in appearance. The building was old but that is no excuse for the room to look unwelcoming. On top of that, there was no way to lock off the access from the balcony which was open to other rooms. We spent the night with a wedge under the bedroom door hoping it would be a deterrant. Most unsettling. We mentioned this at the desk when departing. There was no offer of compensation. We are glad that night is over.

Yelp
A very quaint hotel in the middle of Mildura! The hotel is located within a historic building which has been very well maintained. We arrived late in the evening but that wasn't an issue as the hotel offered 24 hour maned access. There was plenty of parking, however it is important to note that it is only 15 min parking right out the front of the hotel - but just drive around the corner for all night parking. The receptionist was very friendly and efficient. She provided us with great ideas for breakfast places and gave us a carton of milk for coffee / tea. I would suggest taking the stairs as the lift is as old as the building - it can only (just) for 2 people and takes a long time to get to each floor! There is only 2 levels so walking up the stairs is manageable! We received a free room upgrade and also free complimentary drinks! The room is very much a home away from home, offering apartment style comfort and facilities! This has been a great start to our weekend away!

Yelp
Lovely rooms, good beds, brilliant pool, stunning breakfast. This is the perfect place for a family or romantic get away.
