Quality Hotel Tønsberg

We recently had a truly fantastic night's stay at the Quality Hotel Tønsberg and were completely impressed. The location is excellent, but the hotel amenities and service truly made the experience memorable.||Our room was great—spacious, comfortable, and beautifully appointed, providing a perfect place to relax.||A major highlight was the use of the rooftop pool. It was an absolute delight! To our surprise, the water was wonderfully warm (32 degrees!), making for a lovely and relaxing experience, even on a cooler day. Highly recommend taking advantage of this amenity.||We also had a lovely evening meal at the hotel restaurant. The food was delicious, and the service was attentive.||The whole team was professional and friendly. We honestly couldn't fault our stay and would happily return.||Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway!

The hotel looks ok, but they sell you a stay with a spa complex and a rooftop pool included (which was the reason to book this hotel). Despite the fact that this is stated on the hotel's website and in the booking itself, the receptionist tells you upon check-in that the spa center will open in two weeks. We have to stay here overnight so as not to waste the money we paid completely, but it all looks like customer trickery.

Great service and plentiful breakfast. Price quite high considering the room size which was small. The room didn't have much to talk about. No iron, no water boiler or coffee making possibility. I was staying in separate building. The hotel location was good right on the sea shore with many restaurants nearby and concert venue im the same complex.

Quality Hotel Tønsberg – Mid-June 2025|We visited Tønsberg for the first time in mid-June 2025, and with the beautiful summer weather, our experience exceeded expectations.||We stayed in a double room with a lovely view overlooking the water and boats. The hotel was clean, tidy, and well-maintained. There’s a rooftop bar and a swimming pool available for guests, though we didn’t use them due to the high number of visitors that day.||We did, however, enjoy a meal at the on-site restaurant, The Social Bar & Bistro. I had the seafood pasta, and my friend ordered Moules Frites served with fries and aioli. The food was fresh, delicately presented, and tasted superb—though the mussel shells could have been a bit larger. Combined with the relaxed summer afternoon atmosphere, it was a great dining experience.||Arriving by car was easy, and there’s a convenient parking garage at the hotel. There’s also cheaper outdoor parking nearby.||Overall, I’d recommend this place for a weekend getaway with friends or family. Tønsberg is a charming and cozy town—and I learned it's the oldest city in Norway!

My wife and I had a very distressing night at this hotel last weekend due to a serious security incident that left us feeling Unser and deeply unsettled. At 4.00 A.M on Saturday morning an intoxicated woman stated violently kicking doors and shouting in the corridor. When she started kicking our door my wife woke up suddenly and she was so shocked and she lost consciousness and stopped breathing momentarily. ||In the panic, I rushed to seek help but there was no telephone and emergency button in the room. ||When I reached the front desk there was only one staff member on duty and there was no medical or emergency plan in the hotel. Even more disappointing is that, after this traumatic experience, we received no follow up communication from the hotel management.

So disappointed with pool work time. Like this place but👇 Last summer was coming back at this place only cause enjoying at rooftop pool. This time i wanted to spend maybe hottest day in year at this place but someone decided to change working time and close pool 12-16h. If you have swimming pool you need to use it not to close it. Won't coming back if something don't change about this.

I have stayed here several times and usually it has been the best option in Tönsberg. The rooms are clean and the included breakfast excellent. Parking is very expensive in Tönsberg, but the hotel offers several choices. The beds are a bit soft, but that is a personal taste. Summertime the rooms facing west can be a bit hot.

The room was ok, nothing fancy If you come in the winter, bring your blanket. The breakfast deserves 5 stars Quality Quality Quality just wow. Great staff, very friendly
