Quality Hotel Wangaratta Gateway

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Gateway Hotel Wangaratta. We were in Wangaratta for a four-day bike tour and the team kindly offered to store our bike bags for us while we were out riding. Knowing our gear was safe and secure gave us total peace of mind and made the whole trip so much easier. On the final day, we rode back into town in pouring rain — completely drenched and with nowhere to shower before heading off. Even though they didn’t have to, the staff went above and beyond by giving us fresh towels and helping us sort out our bike bags. That level of care and generosity meant so much after a long, wet ride. The team showed genuine hospitality and kindness in ways that weren’t expected but were deeply appreciated. It’s rare to come across service like this. Thank you so much for looking after us — we’re incredibly grateful and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again or recommend you to other cyclists passing through Wangaratta!

We've stayed here many times over the past 5 years. Probably some of the best service we have ever experienced at a hotel. Consistent, friendly and practical service. 5 stars to the managers and the team. Thanks for looking after us over the years.

Great hotel in a good locations and quiet. Lots of business travellers during the week. Have 2 destination chargers that worked floorlessly. Other than an ice parking in one spot and other occupied by an EV, no issues with charging. Believe it is a 11kW charger so reasonable speed. There is no charge for use. Windscreens are complementarily cleaned early morning. A great little service. All the staff are very helpful.

Stay one night in this hotel. The hotel was absolutely clean, high quality and relaxing. Service was great and staff were super friendly. I didn’t use the pool but it looked good. I was welcome with a drink. The food was great which was reflected in the price.

Having stayed here previously, it was an easy decision to re-book. From the welcome I received at booking in, through to the quality and high standards of each room, it was a pleasant stay. In the evening, I enjoyed the restaurant and again was blown away by the quality and freshness of the food and dishes. I look forward to my next visit

We have stayed here on several occasions over many years and can vouch for the quality of service and presentation. Everything works as it should - airconditioning, clocks, TV, booking, parking…. It should be a given, but many other motels fail on the basics! Thank you to the staff for your commitment to quality service and friendliness, from the excellent restaurant meals to the cleaning of our car windscreen. Well done!

Wonderful staff, bar and restaurant food, service and location. Havi g my windcreen washed on the day i departed was an exceptional surprise showing the fab service overall. So was forgetting my toothbrush and having them provide me one. The paper thin walls however dropped my rating as I barely slept for 2 nights and then had a 4 hour drive to deal with. Thought someone was in my bathroom when the neighbours turned thier tap on. A lovely venue with wonderful staff, food and service. Consider ear plugs.

Totally great value, facilities and location. Will be back again. Staff attentive and friendly. Dining choices were also great. Clean and quality rooms at a great price.

Beautiful and Spacious rooms. Clean, well appointed and quiet! I run a motorcycle tour that stops here and while I used to use another "character" hotel in this town, I had too many inconsistent encounters with the staff to keep it. We switched to Quality Hotel Wangaratta Gateway and I love the helpful staff and efficiency of doing business with them. This year, due to an injury on my part, the staff picked-up and did all the distribution of luggage for all of my clients. Everyone loved it and we also had such a fun time at the restaurant and bar that we closed it down. Thank you everyone! We will see you next year!

We arrived and check in was a breeze. Staff were friendly and polite. We drove our car into the parking garage and parking was well spaced and plentiful. When was got to the rooms there was a lovely pool centre stage with the rooms surrounding it. Our room was clean, beds comfortable and ample room for my wife and two children. If (when) we pass back through Wangaratta we will certainly stay at the Quality HotelWangaratta gateway again.
