The George Hotel Ballarat Quality Inn

Absolutely amazing experience at The George Hotel Ballarat. From check in to check out, every staff member at the hotel and entire establishment were amazing. So welcoming and genuinely friendly. The location is incredible. The building is incredible. The rooms are extremely well appointed and so snug and comfy. Even when we had some difficulty with the sofa bed, the amazing staff leapt into action and promptly resolved it. It has been decades since we experienced this kind of service. Keep up the awesome work everyone! Thank you for making our trip to Ballarat so memorable.

I stayed there two nights and had three meals in the hotel. The staff friendly and welcoming; the stay was perfect. Clean, comfortable, quiet -- all that one asks for in a hotel. ||The breakfast was fantastic. I had the scrambled eggs on sourdough toast with bacon. Huge and delicious. I was there on Wednesday for 'Parm' night (it is Australia after all). Lovely meal. ||The scones are to die for as is the homemade strawberry jam -- make sure you buy a jar before you leave.

I went mid week so it was nice and quiet. Really great bed - very comfortable. Competitive rate.

Excellent service. Good food. Nice wine. Allowed dog into the alleyway part where we ate. Nice and central as we had just been to the cinema. Would visit again.

Hotel room - walls were very dusty, room was dark (even with curtains open), bathroom drain covers were unstable. Restaurant service staff were incompetent and the younger male had filthy fingernails.

Guests need to be mindful of possible noise from the entertainment areas, however we didn't have an issue at all.

Lovely old hotel that has been renovated. Guest rooms were very comfortable. Only thing missing was a hair dryer. All the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and the food in the dining area was excellent but there are also many other dining options within a short walk away. We would happily stay here again.

Such a lovely traditional hotel in the middle of town. Super clean, well maintained and the facilities are fabulous. We booked a king room which was great, well designed and the room was quite large with everything we needed including a mini bar.
