Quamby Estate

We had an amazing overnight stay at this beautiful estate. The whole experience was amazing. From being greeted so warmly by Georgie, the general manager, to the beautifully appointed rooms and historic and luxurious charm of the estate house. It was a chilly weekend and they had fires lit in the common areas and had thought of every aspect to make people welcome - a library of books with ample reading nooks, games and well manicured grounds to walk. One night was not long enough! Will definitely come back.

My daughter had her wedding at quamby, and everything was faultless!!! The venue of course. Amazing...the food, staff and everyone else thank you for making the wedding such a memorable day I can't recommend quamby highly enough

Went for English style afternoon tea …. OMG, amazing historic homestead with fantastic grounds and atmosphere. Very welcoming staff and the food was wonderful… thanks for an awesome afternoon. Also, the house and guest rooms are beautiful… just trying to work out when we cld stay here!!!

I have had the privilege of photographing many weddings at Quamby Estate & it is one of my absolute favourite venues in Tasmania. Highly recommend for couples wanting to have their wedding in a picturesque & historic property. There are so many options for photos on site & everything is all in one place. Perfect venue all year round, but I think my favourite Quamby season is Autumn!

Such a beautiful old property, gorgeous grounds to stroll around,or just sit and take in the serene beautiful, lovely rooms,amazing comfortable bed and pillows,and the bath,pure luxury. Lovely tasmania produce and wine,whisky and port,such an experience sitting in the very grand dining room

We stayed two nights at Quamby Estate as a treat for ourselves after a driving tour of Tasmania. It couldn’t have been better. An amazingly historical country home with intriguing history beautifully decorated in period but with all the modern conveniences and service. Although we didn’t play golf they have a nine hole course if you fancy it. The room was awesome, comfortable and clean. The staff were all great. We really felt like the lord and lady of the manor in our country residence, it was a great way to end a great holiday. The food was awesome, a great selection of wines and beers and we had a great stay. We would thoroughly recommend Quamby Estate for a special place to stay for any event.

My husband and I recently got married at Quamby Estate and it was the absolute perfect choice! We had stayed at Quamby for a quiet weekend about 18 months prior and knew instantly upon visiting that we wanted to hold our future wedding there. It was a flawless backdrop for our whole weekend, providing the perfect blend of timeless elegance, romance, coziness, warmth and luxury. The experience was made particularly special by the exclusive use of the estate for the entire weekend so we could share in beautiful memories with family and friends, while being completely taken care of by the friendly, professional and obliging Quamby staff, from the very first welcome drinks, to the incredibly amazing rehearsal dinner and of course the wedding itself! Most of our guests flew in from interstate and we had so many positive comments about how incredible and beautiful our choice of venue was! Our wedding weekend was simply pure magic and we plan to relive it every year by returning to Quamby for a cosy and romantic anniversary weekend. We are very grateful to Quamby Estate and all of its hardworking and highly competent staff for all their amazing efforts in delivering our absolute dream wedding day and highly recommend them to any Tasmanians (or mainlanders) looking for the ultimate wedding venue.
