Beautiful movie theatre with an old-time charm. They have movies with English subtitles available, just ask the kind staff at the entrance or the ticket booth in the front. The hand-painted movie posters make it even more special. It was a highlight of our trip to Tainan!

I came here because I want to see the old school hand painted posters. This might be the only few places left to do big billboard by hand. The master Lai has been painting movie posters for last 50 years. He paints across the street from theater. I would love to see the movie here next time. I feel like time traveler goes back to old days. Let’s hope they will keep this as long as possible.

Have u heard about second run theaters, this one of the kind. Just okay 140 $NTD and then get a chance to see 2 different movies consecutively. I had a chance to see the latest THE KINGS MAN and NIGHTMARE ALLEY. Seats were okay, no push back or comfy cushion seats.. For eating they do have some little est snacks and bottle drinks like black and green tea 🍵. Sound quality is good and the visual quality is also exceptional, for a second run theater, they are doing really well and good. On a rainy day and u don't have anything to do, I think 🤔 we can go and spend time in there, the air-conditioning is also great. Happy movie marathon Peace ✌️ ☮️ 🕊

Didn't go in the cinema but outside there are many movie posters and the artists studio is there too but closed on Sunday. The cinema sells postcards from these paintings as well so you can ask the staff for your favourite movie/s

Passed by and stopped in my tracks to admire the handpainted posters. Just found out that it used to be Ang Lee's favourite haunt too, when he was a teen! Amazing.

In modern society, it is quite hard to see the hand printing movie posters. That is definitely worth visiting at least once. These posters seems to tell the old time and how our elders creat their posters. Kind of old-new fusion.
