Tonight was a long evening and Mommy, I really did not feel like making dinner, good to know some lovely restaurants open a little later than the average hour. We tried this place for the first time and I have to say gladly “we’re coming back”! The atmosphere was lovely and seamlessly pleasant 🎵🎵 Me and my son enjoyed our meals to the finished of every bite. He actually said “next time I’m getting the Adult spaghetti” 🤣🤣 If your looking for nice Italian dish, try them. I do not believe you won’t like it. Thank you Nick for serving us. Our waiter was polite and was timely on coming back to our table I mean just perfect!👌🏾

Monya B.

Google
Food and service were great and priced right, My only complaint is the restroom. I am disabled and there were no grab bars in the bathrooms! The sinks weren't compliant with ADA but they could easily add a grab bar in the toilets.

Eeryn A.

Google
Who’s hangry and wants to do a shot of E vs J lol. Kidding. I’m out for a run and getting ready to write a declaration against some Lunatic Lawyer falsifying a TPO. A deer just ran her over Tell Jules , thank you and she’s the best! We are about to work on a production called: The Confessions and yes I will be there for Singles Night! Also perhaps we ask WHY they would ever even consider a challenge a figment of their Imagination.

Google
Love everything we tried (Lamb lollipops, caesar salad, and Bolognese). Didn’t need a box for leftover.

Google
It is closer to a 5 than a 3.9 (ylp) on service and overall fit and finish alone. I think they are working a great model with a couple opportunities to tighten up. The Good: The service was as good as anyone can hope. Ambiance was nice, clean, and very comfortable (no booths but I get why). The food was satisfying overall. Everything came out quick (almost too quick, but not complaining). The Challenges: The lasagna was too salty. I deconstructed it, and it was the meat. Also, the pasta lacked structure consistently. It was an older crowd so maybe playing to the masses, but was far from al dente. We will try this again I think. The good parts were really good. This 5 is partly because I'm rooting for them and hoping they had an off night with the pasta and lasagna, which (lasagna) is hard if it's not fresh and executed properly.

Google
If I could give Quanto Basto a 10, I would. From the drinks, to the artichoke appetizer, to the entree, this is perhaps the best Italian restaurant in metro Atlanta. The Flank steak is the best around. We celebrated our 26 anniversary here and it was perfect. Special thanks to our wait staff and chefs. You all made our anniversary extra special, so thank you.

Google
Some of the best food I have ever had. We keep trying new things and everything is always incredible. Im so impressed wirh everything from calamari to seabass. The make pasta from scratch everyday. The Gluten-Free options are endless. They also have the nesty salads. The service also always perfect. I kust wish we found thos place sooner.

Google
I feel bad writing this review because the staff is so friendly & accommodating but ultimately that does not make up for the lack of skill in the kitchen. I’ve been here twice & both times the food was just terrible. Last night I ordered shrimp scampi, it was chewy hard & just awful.. server was completely understanding & offered to get me something else. I ordered chicken Alfredo which was just okay.. I had to season it myself with salt & Parmesan to try & thicken it up a bit as it was very soupy & bland. I think it’s fair that both customers & staff know the food is really lacking, especially for the price.

Yelp
Fantastic food, knowledgeable waitstaff, nice atmosphere My go to Italian in cumming!

Yelp
A very nice evening Friday at 6:15 PM they were pretty packed when we arrived. Our waitress Nicole, we have had many times before. She was exceptional as always. We ordered a ceasar salad and minestrone soup to start, followed up by sausage and peppers, and she had the shrimp scampi. The entire meal was perfect even the table bread was nice and hot when it arrived. This was a much better meal and service than our last visit. We will return.

Yelp
This was our second time and there will be a third, fourth...Everything from start to finish was a delight, we started with a lovely red Blend, "Conundrum" salads, Seasonal and Mixed Green, Chicken Piccata, Salmon, Sausage and Peppers with GF Penne, dessert, well yes, thank you! Flourless chocolate Cake with almonds, ice cream and cherries, and a soft fluffy orange cake with fresh mash whipped cream and blueberries all with a cup of joe (decaf)! Celebrate your special occasion or just a week day evening! Parking is easy as it is in a plaza, has a lovely outside plaza for the warmer weather.

Yelp
This is a great Italian restaurant with classic dishes will executed. We thought it was a bit odd that we couldn't book a table from their website but Luciano's was fully booked so we took a chance and were very glad we did! Sao Bocco, salmon, chicken parm & classic pasta with meatballs were all fantastic. Service was attentive but the restaurant was a bit quiet for a Friday evening. Hoping they do well as we will definitely be back!

Yelp
Upon entering, yo feel like you're entering the country club. Take that as you will. It's a strip mall so the views out the window are of a parking lot. Inside there are many tables but the restaurant does feel not crowded at all. Our waitress was accommodating and not overbearing. She got us what we needed and then gave us breathing room to enjoy and talk. The food was good. Again, the restaurant accommodated a food allergy of mine very easily. I did not try hubby's dish, but he said his salmon was good too. Mine was very in a white wine sauce that was decadently buttery. The savory focaccia at the beginning of the meal was good too. A nice restaurant that we would love to visit again since we are in the neighborhood.

Yelp
This restaurant was AMAZING! Every dish was on point and good from Beginning to end. We ordered the arancini which was perfectly breaded and fried not too much breading or cheese nice light taste and crisp outside. The cocktails were perfect the spiced old fashioned was a great twist and the gin with lemon cello and pink lemonade secure was light and lemon flavored. The original salad of romaine with pickled red onions and perfectly cooked and seasoned hard boiled eggs. The main course we had the chicken piccata and chicken Parmesan all perfectly seasoned. For the finish we had the canoli which was the best I have ever rated so light it melted in my mouth. We will be back for more!!!!!

Yelp
Wondering why I don't come here more often than a couple of times a year. I've been here four times now, and always enjoy it. 1. Easy to get a reservation 2. Nice dining area--quiet and somewhat cozy 3. Servers are always friendly and non-rushed (no "table turning contests" 4. Cocktails are great 5. Food is good and servings are plentiful 6. Price on #4 and #5 is great

Jenny J.

Yelp
Prices are super expensive for a tiny quantity that doesn't even feel the plate. Tables outside are broken and in really bad shape. I didn't appreciate that they didn't allow us to sit inside just because we had no reservation even that restaurant had plenty of tables empty inside

Arturo A.

Yelp
this is a great family Italian dinner spot. It has a wonderful Italian homemade platters that will entice anyone wishing for a homemade Italian meal. The atmosphere was fantastic and we really enjoyed our meal and will definitely go again.

David S.

Yelp
Enjoyed everything at Qusnto Basta. Our server was awesome. I am still thinking about ou experience the next day. Calamari - excellent. I had the dish with shrimp, scallops, clams, and mussels over linguine with a slightly spicy red sauce. I can't stop thinking about. The couple we were with also raved about their entrees - salmon and lasagna. Very nice upscale restaurant with a relaxed feel. Can't wait to go back. Highly recommend.

Nickie C.

Yelp
We've lived in the area for a year and a half and continue to say we're going to try this place yet never made the time to do so, until tonight. This bistro will be a regular stop for us now. The inside is absolutely stunning, the atmosphere is relaxing and well decorated with amazing music playing in the background. I don't think I can find the words for how incredible the food was! Everything was remarkable and the portions are very generous. Xayver was our waiter and was very knowledgeable about the menu, gave wonderful recommendations, was attentive while ensuring he wasn't bothering/hovering. If you love authentic Italian cuisine this is a must try! Perfect for date night, special occasion or a casual dinner. Love wines? They have a great selection as well!

Yelp
The service was a 4/5 and the food was a 5/5. The servers were nice, but it was a long wait between visits by our server. The food was great. I had the bolognese and my wife had the vodka sauce, she ordered better than I did but both were very tasty.

Yelp
Mmmmmm, quaint restaurant that has a lot of old school Italian character. The minestrone was absolutely exceptional.... We were negotiating for the last of the soup and bread. Deeeeeeelicious!!! By the way, the chicken parmigiana delivered.... Big Time! Stay tuned for the next review. I hope they can deliver that consistent quality.

Steve H.

Yelp
We live in neighborhood and have gone through 4-5 owners over the last 10-15 years. Gave up on them a few years back but tried them again this weekend. Everything was great, they simplified the menu to do fewer things better. Great to have a good restaurant this close by.

Cassandra C.

Yelp
Service was great. Food was really good but on the pricey side for sure. I went with a friend and we had fun, but the bill was kind of high.

Robert H.

Yelp
This place is amazing. First lets talk about their food. I've been eating here for many years and the food has never been better. Quality of food is amazing and the consistency is top tier. Many different choices on the menu from heavy items like steak and chicken parmesan to lighter options like oil and garlic pasta with a protein. This is my favorite with Shrimp. MMMMM..... We then need to talk about service. This is truly a family restaurant owned by a young local couple in the area. As soon as you walk in, the entire staff makes you feel like family and treat you as such. It's sooo refreshing to go into a restaurant that's not a chain conglomerate that welcomes you, gets to know your name and you personally, and serves an unbelievable product. I have no business interest here so this review is completely unbiased and exactly how I feel. I'll be going back to Quanto Basta for a long time as it's one of my top favorites in the Cumming area. Yelp
I really wanted to love this place but alas i could only give it 3 stars Its really a 3.5. The place gets crowded so go early or make reservations. The gentleman at the front desk gave us a table on a friday night. They had a singer with a great voice. Singing old rat pack songs. The waiter was slow to get to us and took forever to just get a drink. The place is somewhat nice but the sttaff were all in different attire ffrom black khakis and shirt to gym shoes and the greeter looked like he had just been running around on a saturday morning. Now the food. Started really good. We had the antipasto and i had the chicken piccata snd pasta with a ceasar salad. My hubby had the lasagna. We asked to try the sauce before we ordered. The sauce is good and tastes like it had been cooking for a while. The salad was slso very good. Tasted like it was a homemade dressing. The lemon was really thin and dry due to the sauce being too thin to cling ti the chicken. I will order the pasta next time instead. Lasagnaa was ok. Maybe we willl try tthe pizza next. If its good i will change my review to 4 stars.

Yelp
Quanto Basta never disappoints! The bartender girl is one of their main assets- fast, friendly and knowledgeable.
google avatar

Dustin B.

Yelp
My wife and I came here for the first time tonight and we were extremely pleased. I love Italian food but very picky about it as well. This establishment did not disappoint. We were promptly seated on a Sunday evening and had an attentive server. The free bread was outstanding and I had the best cup of Minestrone soup I've ever had. The chicken parmasean was better than my expectations as well. My wife had chicken alfredo and said the sauce was absolutely perfect. We will definitely be back and I feel this will be our go to Italian restaurant.

Dan F.

Yelp
Great food, house made pasta. We go here often, and have never had a bad experience.
google avatar

Jeff G.

Yelp
Always great food. Nice bar area if you want to "belly up" while you eat. Staff is always friendly. Great place for a date, an anniversary, or just a random good meal night.
google avatar

Don M.

Yelp
We always get great service and great food when we go here. The couple that owned this place are very nice and great operators. We would highly recommend trying this restaurant next time you want and exciting and taste pole Italian meal.

Jim P.

Yelp
Atmosphere and service were great. That's where the good things ended, unfortunately. The food was not good at all. I had the chicken parmesan and my wife had the salmon. The chicken was overcooked and dry with very little flavor. The tomato sauce had very little flavor. My wife's salmon was not very good either. I had cannolis for dessert. The had an odd flavor which I didn't care for. Reasonably priced, but not worth the money.

Yelp
we enjoyed an amazing Mother's Day dinner at QB I ordered the Seabass and it was fabulous The surface was excellent.
google avatar

Adam C.

Yelp
Well to go from a five to a one after being one of our favorite places should tell everyone all they need to know. After Covid they change management and it's not even worth taking the time to say how bad the food was beside the fact that they change the menu for the worst! Not that that it was even that busy - but we had to wait about 20 minutes for someone to come over to our table and to boot a table that came in after us that was much larger got all of the servers before us! When wifey had an issue with her chicken Parmesan which tasted like it was spiked with salt and the breading was soggy and coming off! So - after all of the back-and-forth and their stupidity, cheap-ass-ness and splendor offered to take 50% off - Good Night! Just sad!

Lindsay M.

Yelp
Food was good, wine was good, service was just okay. A nicer place to go out to, as in a little nicer than casual. Great spot for a dinner out with friends.
google avatar

Dan S.

Yelp
This place is hit or miss. Had the Pasta El Vodka last night which was god awful. I think the chef threw a whole can of salt in it to hide how horrible it was. The bread was not bad and I've had their lasagna a few months back which wasn't bad either.. if you're feelin risky , roll the dice with this place. You could get a bowl of salt pasta or average Lasagna..

Luke E.

Yelp
We went as a small group and we all enjoyed our meals. The service was great and though the menu didn't have a vast selection, everything we ordered was just delicious. We all plan on revisiting for another meal! Really good Italian food!!
google avatar

Review Queen L.

Yelp
This restaurant is under new ownership. When we used to come here, they had pizzas that my child loved. But no longer. Very sad. We almost always order the Eggplant Parmesan. I have to say it's the best Eggplant Parmesan we've ever had in Georgia. The chicken piccata is tasty and delicious and my son orders that every time. The prices have gone up considerably, but I understand due to inflation, etc. The ambience is lovely inside and the bread is always delicious. We haven't t been inside to eat in a while but we use to love the live music . The only think I'm not a fan of is the Fettuccine Alfredo. It's different now from the old owners way of making it . I think it's made the authentic way now with butter and cheese . It's a little bland but it's probably because we are use to the crappy Olive Garden style stuff Give this place a try you will be happy.

Dream B.

Yelp
As a sicilian Born food lover i can Say this place is fantastic. From the service to the food to the ambiance. The appitizers were delicious. Mussels, bruschetta and arancini. House bread I could eat it all. We had the chicken Parm, homemade pasta, salmon, and I had the mushroom risotto with scallops. So good. Definitely go if you can.

Steve S.

Yelp
Had dinner there Mother's Day. Loved it. It's a bit of a drive for us, but went again last weekend (Jul 15). So good. Hostess, server, table, food - absolutely nothing to complain about, complete package. We coincidentally had the same server both nights (I think her name was Rosie?) - she did a wonderful job both times. Recommend making a reservation, and eat early if you can.

Yelp
Love this place! The food is homemade, and wonderful! the service is impeccable and the drinks are extremely tasty. This is our go to Italian restaurant in the Buford/Cumming area!!!
google avatar

Tarun K.

Yelp
Amazing Italian food. One of the best sausage and pepper pasta and tiramisu I have had in Georgia.

Hillary D.

Yelp
Nice quiet restaurant close to home good for families. Prices are a little high for kids meals, but the kids were satisfied

Nicole C.

Yelp
I have been going to this restaurant from the very beginning 12/13 years ago when the first owner Kon owned this place. I haven't been in a while since Wendy owned it bc I was nervous that the food wouldn't be the same. I walked in tonight to a new owner & i prayed they would have my favorites! We had a party of 5 tonight we ordered our usual, muscles fra diablo, calamari, chicken parm, the pork chop, & the rigatoni alla vadka. I WAS SOOOOOOOO HAPPY WITH EVERYTHING, that I asked to speak with the new owner, Mrs Jenny. I had to let her know I was THRILLED with everything! Thank u for keeping this place Fantastic Italian!! It was wonderful * unfortunately we were eating before I could take pictures so I only took pictures of the rigatoni side.

Sonya K.

Yelp
LOVE THIS PLACE!! The food and service are extraordinary! We go a couple of times a month

Kathy C.

Yelp
Excellent! We frequent weekly and the food is always amazing! Personal favorites include the Salmon, Chicken Piccata, Chicken Parm, Lasagna, Pasta Bolognese and amazing bread! Definitely worth a visit! Oh, and really nice people too!

Melissa F.

Yelp
Love going here! The food is excellent! It's the only place I have ever found a cannoli that I like. The focaccia bread is sooooo very good. Love every dish I have had here. The owners are so kind and work so very hard. I highly recommend trying them out

Gus H.

Yelp
Had a romantic anniversary dinner here and couldn't be happier. Amazing and attentive service, ambiance that goes on for miles, and fantastic courses. The House Salad with the grilled romaine (whaaa? I know) is stupendous and undermarketed. They need a snazzy new name for that bad boy. The calamari is so satisfying and nice touch with some onions in there for flavor. Ahh, the Pescatore. Yup. Do it. And last but not least, we toreasomeuppa that tiramisu. Bravo, Basto!
google avatar

Lou G.

Yelp
The trouble with eating Italian food is that five or six days later you're hungry again. George Miller "Quanto Basta" translates to "How much is enough?", which is a question I should have asked myself before finishing the third basket of bread! Upscale, yet comfortable with a great menu of Italian classics. Service is excellent, food is fantastic. Bread and Olive Oil was brought out quick while we scanned the menu. Our table consisted of vegetarian, vegan, omnivore, and carnivore, and there were options for all. I had a made to order lasagna and it was incredible. Wine list here is impressive and priced fairly. This place is perfect for almost any occasion, from family, to date, to business, to just sitting at the bar. So, how much is enough? When it comes to Quanto Basta, I can't get enough!
google avatar

Peter Y.

Yelp
We hadn't been here since new management took over. The menu was limited, the service excellent and the atmosphere very nice. The food was excellent and spread out over enough time to let us enjoy ourselves. Overall an excellent experience.

Krystal T.

Yelp
I've been coming here for the last year since I moved to Cumming. The food is amazing...literally every dish I have tried. Staff is always 10/10 and so friendly. We usually start with two chocolate martini's, the arancini, then either vodka pasta, bolognese, oil and garlic pasta, or chicken Parmesan. This is the best Italian in the area...and I love Italian so that is saying a lot!

Jordyn B.

Yelp
This restaurant doesn't even deserve a rating. They are passive aggressive towards their staff and their customers. The food is over priced. The bartender is the owner and the drinks are weak. I would never go back.

Ralph E M.

Yelp
Not impressed. I had chicken parm. Honestly it tasted like a pre breaded frozen chicken

Mani Y.

Yelp
Update! This place had some growing pains but since it's right around the corner we decided to try again . We have now put this in our regular rotation. Amazing ! And great specials most nights ! Update : it gets worse !!! Waiter said they were running low on bread so no tables could get any! Almost cFood is good but riddled with service issues. Third time here with the new owners. First time we waited 25 minutes to put in a food order. The bar tonight was mass chaos. Everyone waiting for drinks and food. The staff just running into each other. Food orders coming out wrong . This place is so close to us ... hate that it has gone so far downhill with inexperienced staff and managerment.

judith m.

Yelp
Great local Italian food, featuring homemade pasta and fresh seafood. The bread is an awesome accompaniment. The service is prompt and friendly

Larrie T.

Yelp
Beautiful atmosphere, and the wait staff is knowledgeable, attentive, and personable. The food is exceptional; everything is fresh, house made, and absolutely delicious. The chef is highly skilled, infuses an obvious love in every dish, and makes a point of personally welcoming his guests. Do not miss this gift! Go, mangia, enjoy!

Yelp
Simply amazing! My husband and I fell upon this spot on a Tuesday night. We were given great service from the parking lot until we left to go home. Everyone was happy, helpful, and really made our evening wonderful. We sat at the bar (I never want to sit at the bar) and I'm glad we did. The bar has a great selection of spirits and the bartender working that nice was attentive, friendly, and social. All of the staff worked together as a team and were very professional and nice. They had a great pizza special on Tuesday. My hubby and I love pizza, so that's what we got. Two salads, a pizza , and a dessert was perfect for our happy hour/ date night. The Limoncello cake was outstanding!!!! All around we had a great time. We can't wait to come back and actually have dinner. Thanks for the hospitality.
